One Resort Aqua Park & Spa

Family of 5 2 adults 3 kids age 13,8 and 5 Visited beginning of May 2024 Positives Room spacious with separate adjoining room for kids Air conditioning Lazy river Slides Plenty of sun loungers Indoor pool WiFi great in room Beer was good Nice grounds Bungalow room close to pool Felt very safe in the resort Burgers, pasta and ice cream good in snack bar Waffles, pancakes and omelettes good at breakfast (but had to queue) Negatives Staff didn’t communicate on arrival so we had no idea about what was going on in the hotel. Only found out what was going on in the hotel from other guests and the Facebook group! Some miserable staff Slow check in - form filling for 5 people is very time consuming! Food - below standard expected for 4* Smell of drains around kids pool Entertainment- very limited Nothing around resort to do and people commented that they didn’t feel safe outside the resort as hassled by locals to buy things No play area for kids A la carte is the same food from the buffet served up on a plate! No info re allergies in restaurant WiFi poor around pool. We had to return to the room for good WiFi. Very small cups for drinks Cocktails disgusting! Avoid! Fridge not stocked with water - don’t forget to ask for a bottle of water each night before bed! Long queues for drinks and snacks (more self service needed) Standard of cleaning not great All in all, this was a cheap holiday and you get what you pay for! I wouldn’t return to this hotel (or Tunisia ) but there are lots of small things that they could do to improve the guest experience! I’d say this is a 2-3* hotel at the most.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve been to in Tunisia, staff are amazing they could t do enough for us, the entertainment team were excellent! Thank you to Samar, Jackson,Mario, Mo Mo and Tyson for keeping us entertained and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as the staff and entertainment team are some of the best I’ve seen thank you again!

We stayed here over the UK half term (23-30th May). The hotel was busy which I expected with it being a school holiday. I felt that the hotel wasn't equipped to cope with so many guests. We ended up trying to find sunbeds at 7.30am in the morning as any sunbeds with shade would already be reserved by this time especially around the main pool. There definitely wasn't enough sun umbrellas around the resort. There was an adults only pool that seemed to be underused. This should be opened up to families during school holidays. The main pool has loud music (too loud) playing most of the day and the entertainment team work from here. There are plenty of activities taking place throughout the day for adults. Can't comment for children in the kids clubs as we didn't use them but there were no activities outside of the kids club for children. No children version of water polo etc. I felt that some of the music played at the pool was inappropriate for children (rude/offensive lyrics). I would advise people to take their own plastic glasses as there was a shortage of glasses for drinks across all bars and in the main restaurant. Maybe as people were taking glass from the main restaurant to the pool and then smashing them which was worrying when people are walking around in bare feet. There are signs up but noone policing this. 2 litre bottled water available at all bars but reluctant to let you have glasses (plastic) go drink it with. It was sometimes hard to find a table in the restaurant and we often had to leave and return later. The restaurant was also very hot with no aircon or ventilation. Food in the restaurant was average nothing spectacular which again I expect from an all inclusive. My children lived on plain pasta, chicken burgers and chocolate pancakes. (They are picky eaters).Pasta bar was amazing as were the chicken tacos (more of a calzone) from the beach snack bar. Burgers, pizza, pasta and ice-cream available from the snack bars all served. I do prefer snacks that you can help yourself to. (Do understand that some people will take more food than they can eat and waste food) Queues could get lengthy waiting for drinks/food. Entertainment in the evening was poor. The only evening that was worth watching was the neon show. There is a lack of seating near the bars on an evening despite there being plenty of space to have more tables and chairs. We stayed in a twin room with sliding door that had two extra single beds. I felt the rooms were very small and lacked storage space for 4 people. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower which the pressure was great often ran hot and cold but in the hot weather this went too much of a problem. I think outside of school holidays and earlier/later in the season when it my not be so busy this would be a great holiday resort. I don't think we would return but would recommend to others if they knew what to expect whilst there. Take bug spray as well got bitten but only on our last couple of nights.
