We spent three days at the Cortijo, and we were very impressed by the professional and warm treatment we received from Ivone and Costen. The place is so peaceful that you can feel the noise of the silence, especially surrounded by this beautiful landscape. Ideally, to stay some days there and totally disconnect and recharge batteries. It is a five-star place and highly recommended!!!!!

How do you write about a place that has captured your heart and soul ? We arrived tired ,stressed after a very traumatic year and we leave tomorrow totally relaxed and rejuvenated .We are so thankful to of found this unique hotel and will return Yvonne and Karsten do everything they can to make sure you have the best stay ever . From the famous Karsten breakfasts , to the guest chefs and the sharing boards food is a big part of Cortijo El Sarmiento experience . The bar is the evening meeting place before dinner or after a meal out . Yvonne will advise where to eat out ,what to see and book for you . She’s a mind of information Our garden room was a lovely hideaway with its own garden and terrace . It meant we could be on our own or go to the pool for a swim We’ve traveled the world but never had such tranquility ,ambience and above all amazing service From the bottom of our hearts thank you

I spent the entire last week at Boutique Hideaway Cortijo El Sarmiento, and it was an unforgettable experience. Yvonne and Carsten are incredibly kind hosts who go above and beyond to make you feel more than at home—completely pampered! The views of the countryside, the serene pool, and the overall tranquility were exactly what I needed to unwind and relax. The peaceful nights, gazing at the moon and stars, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature, were truly magical. The breakfast is fantastic, and even the other guests contribute to the experience—I met some wonderful people during my stay. Without a doubt, I will be returning to Yvonne and Carsten's beautiful home. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

The gardens at the Cortijo are beautiful, the views are spectacular and the rooms are pleasant. However I visited in the ‘off season’ when the spa treatments and dining experiences were unavailable. I would have appreciated being given that information in advance. In the ‘off season’, only cold platters of meat and cheese are available for dinner. The pool was available but a touch chilly. I paid the room rate which is for two people, so as a singleton this proved to be an expensive stay. The bottom bedsheet was seriously scratchy and I was only given a single duvet for my king size bed! I know that in theory that’s all that you need, but it’s not very luxurious is it? Drinks are self served using an honesty bar set up. Therefore I think this place may be great to visit when it’s warmer and busier. I expect there will be a livelier atmosphere and there will be spa treatments, yoga sessions and great food and wine experiences on offer, but in the ‘off season’ it felt like we were just an inconvenience to our hosts.

And again we stayed at the lovely Cortijo El Sarmiento. We love the location, we love the hosts, we love the tranquility. Once or twice a week a fine dining is offered. These dinings ar worth coming back for each year. You don't have to leave the Cortijo for an enjoyable vacation. But if you want: the environment offers you great places: a lovely (Mojacar) village, nice beaches and nice walks in the mountains. We will be back!

My wife & I have just returned from a wonderful 5 night break staying in a Garden Suite room. The room was very spacious & comfortable with a great super king bed ensuring a good sleep. The bathroom was huge with a large walk in shower & outside there is your own terrace & garden area with sunloungers. For me having reduced mobility it was fantastic that the Suite is totally accessible with wide doors making it a safe & enjoyable place to stay. The rest of El Sarmiento, its facililities, location & view is equally fantastic nothing can be faulted the lovely hosts Yvonne & Carsten seem to have thpought of everything. Food & drink is good & the breakfasts large & filling. Whilst there we enjoyed massages with Patricia for both of us - I had the Lomi Lomi massage which was simply the best ever. Overall guests are ensured a fantastic break, El Sarmiento is truly a magical place where one cannot fail to refresh, relax & recharge. Thankyou Yvonne & Carsten

Via een grote poort kun je de binnenplaats van Cortijo El Sarmiento binnenrijden. Er is ruimte genoeg in de carport. De kamers liggen aan liefelijke hofjes met prachtige fonteinen. Als we naar de tuin met zwembad lopen, hebben we een adembenemend uitzicht over het dal. De cortijo ligt bovenop een berg. We kijken uit over boomgaarden met sinaasappel- en citroenbomen. In de verte doemen de hoge bergen op. Aan de andere kant zien we de witte huizen van het plaatsje Mojácar schitteren en de Middellandse Zee liggen. De kamer is prachtig en gezellig. Een heerlijk bed, ruime kast, een zitje, wat wil je nog meer. De badkamer is sfeervol. Vooral de tegels in verschillende patronen van pasteltinten vinden we erg mooi. Een regendouche, wastafel en toilet maken het geheel compleet. We genieten elke dag van een heerlijk ontbijt met o. a. versgeperst sinaasappelsap van sinaasappels uit eigen boomgaard gemaakt, evenals de sinaasappelmarmelade. Kortom, een prachtige cortijo, op een prachtige plek en gerund door twee fantastische mensen! Zeker een aanrader!

Das B&B ist wahrlich ein Paradies. Die Einrichtung ist sehr liebevoll und individuell gestaltet. Carsten und Yvonne sind wundervolle Gastgeber. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie bei Freunden zu Hause. Sie nehmen sich Zeit und geben informative Tipps, was man sich (nicht nur) in der Umgebung von Mojacar anschauen kann. Das Frühstück ist sensationell lecker und reichhaltig. Es ist kein Restaurant, aber man kann abends eine kalte Platte bestellen die unfassbar gut ist. Alles in allem ist das B&B sehr zu empfehlen. Schade, dass wir dort nur zwei Nächte waren. Wären gerne länger geblieben.

Wir haben wunderschöne und erholsame Ferien im Cortijo El Sarmiento bei und mit Yvonne und Carsten verbracht. Sie haben abseits der Straße nach Mojacar eine Oase der Ruhe erschaffen. es gibt ein umfangreiches Frühstück, mit frischem Orangensaft, Rührei, Müsli, Brötchen... Natürlich gibt es auch Wein für jeden Geschmack. Unser Zimmer war top sauber, das Frühstück reichlich, abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Am Pool gibt es genügend Liegen für alle, wir haben allerdings unseren privaten Garten bevorzugt. Auf einen Reiseführer kann man getrost verzichten, Yvonne und Carsten geben immer gerne richtig gute Restaurant- und Ausfugstipps. Das Cortijo ist abseits gelegen, man sollte unbedingt einen Leihwagen haben, gesicherte Parkplätze sind vorhanden.
