Hotel in zona Art of the Burl Redwood Gallery, Miranda

Mio marito e io ci siamo fermati in viaggio durante il tempo folle e piovoso che abbiamo avuto in marzo. La nostra esperienza era la migliore che poteva essere, nelle circostanze. Tutti noi incontrati erano così genuini e amichevoli. Il ristorante e il bar non erano aperti, molto a mio dolore. Controlla quando prenotare quali giorni saranno aperti. La nostra camera era molto bella, e l'hotel stesso era bella in generale. La nostra esplorazione della città era minima, ma mi sono impressionata con i proprietari, soprattutto Jenny, di questo hotel unico, e le condizioni meteorologiche hanno fatto sforzarsi la piccola città e hanno dovuto entrare in modo di sopravvivenza. Dopo tutto il disastro di Covid, dovevano sopportare un altro ritardo, ma come si comportavano, era così incoraggiante. Jenny ha spiegato che si riuniscono e decideranno quali tre ristoranti rimarranno aperti in un giorno particolare per assicurarsi che i visitatori si prendano cura di. Avevamo appena avuto i primi due, quindi abbiamo scelto la carta selvaggia. Wow, siamo stati così felici! La cibo era eccellente, i prezzi erano fantastici e l'atmosfera era vivace e festiva. È quello che avevamo bisogno! Per colazione, avevano un cappotto e un sacchetto che hai preso in zona bar dell’hotel (è stato davvero molto stupendo!). Hanno anche una birra di caffè da prendere per andare! Prima di partire, ho dovuto passare un po’ di tempo in città andando a qualche negozio. Tutti erano così carini da affrontare, e ho trovato diverse cose che avevo sperato di trovare; mio marito andò a fare una passeggiata mentre ero a fare shopping, e condivideva quanto fosse bella e sicuramente fare una bicicletta la prossima volta. Non posso aspettare di tornare qui a questa dolce piccola città di Ferndale e di rimanere al Victorian Inn quando il tempo è più accogliente!

We have been coming here for about 5 years and it has always been a decent experience until this last stay. The food at the River's Edge was terrible. We had breakfast one day, and ordered room service one night. The omelet my husband got tasted like it was made with powdered eggs. They were out of hash browns (how does that happen?) I don't even know where to start with the room service. You have to call the front desk to order room service, which makes no sense. We called to ask if you could get soup for room service and were told no, then when we called to order the woman asked my husband if he wanted soup or salad!!!! When he asked what kind of soup she said ”I don't know ”. Not let me find out for you, just I don't know, so he got a salad with blue cheese dressing. We get our food and his salad has no dressing! He calls and says he didn't get his blue cheese dressing, when the person shows up at our door she has a bowl of blue cheese crumbles, no dressing!! We just gave up at that point. His fettuccine had some kind of burned cheese chunk on it, at least that's what we think it was. My meatloaf was more like salisbury steak, and was covered in some dark brown substance that was supposed to be gravy (I think). I didn't think you could mess up on mashed potatoes but those were not good either. $20.99 and I only could choke down a couple bites. There were no good machines to play on and of the ones we did play on, we had issues with half of them. The first night we went to the bar I ordered a drink and a shot. I was told that I could not have a drink and a shot, even though I was paying for them because it's against the rules??!! I've never heard of such a thing in my life! Then later on my husband and I saw other bartenders selling drinks with shots! I guess it's all about who you know. The saving graces of this place and the reason for 3 stars? The Express Cafe' has amazing food and staff, we loved every meal we had there and the staff was always very helpful. Barry the bartender, he was so nice and made great drinks. The kitty cat robot server (Bella) in the restaurant. The room was decent and the bed was comfortable. Not sure what's changed, new management? Hopefully they are able to turn things around. Not sure if we will be back.
