Terrabambu Lodge

We highly recommend Terrabambu Lodge, not just for the lovely rooms but also for the kind and helpful staff. I especially want to commend Evelyn who was so patient and kind with me, showing me several rooms until I found the room which suited me best. We stayed in the Family Suite and it was incredibly comfortable. I loved the outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace, which was really relaxing at the end of the day. There was a bottle of filtered water in our suite and a large TV with Netflix. The restaurant was delicious and very convenient and breakfasts were fantastic! The pool looked great, although it was too cold to use when we were there.

We stayed one night during our weekend trip to Mindo. Had a great cabin with three beds and we felt like we were sleeping in a treehouse. The jacuzzi on the balcony was perfect after a long day of hiking/sightseeing. We even had a visiting toucan on a nearby tree. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was hot. We all took a turn swinging on the hammock. Meals were OK, nothing special except my son's gnocchi which was outstanding. Some of the best we've had outside Italy. The canopy tour (aka zipline) was also a fun perk. Breakfast was fast, the croissant type rolls stood out as did the Coffee.

We loved this lodge. The pool is perfect (we were near the lower one, there is another up by the newer cabañas), the breakfast is served in an open-air porch where you can watch birds, particularly hummingbirds (but we also saw others). The staff is friendly and helpful. The cabaña was great with a comfortable bed, mini-fridge, sofa and jacuzzi tub on the porch. We got a massage in our room which was excellent. We would definitely stay again. Thoroughly enjoyed our getaway from Quito.

My daughter was blown away by our room when we arrived! Gorgeous lodge! Spacious room - we had a jacuzzi and hammock on the deck! Was wonderful to watch the birds early from the deck! Felt like we were in a tree house. Didn’t give 5 * as we had no water for the night! No hot water due to a broken pipe! They probably could have moved us but didn’t so we spent the night trying to get the water issue fixed. Couldn’t use the jacuzzi which was a bummer for us. The food is not great at the restaurant. But not too many options around other than driving into town. Not a great wine selection. We loved the zipline activity that was included:) Greta place to watch birds!

We absolutely loved our experience at the Terrabambu Lodge!!!! I don't see how you could pick a better hotel in all of Mindo! The rooms are all unique and the architecture is interesting and fits perfectly with the lush vegetation, The room was very clean and pretty with its own private hot tub. Super private and you had an incredible view from the hot tub and the room in general, Great bathroom, spacious living area and very comfortable bed! You really feel like you are in this lovely, private place up in the cloud forest. Amazing! The restaurant was wonderful! The included breakfast was very nice and was a treat in the mornings! There were many hummingbirds to greet you with your FABULOUS coffee and the view is perfect. Awesome! The restaurant has very good food for lunch and dinner as well. The pool is very pretty and inviting! Great to have it after a long day! The hotel is located about a 30 minute walk from Mindo town, which was a nice walk, but the staff can get you a taxi very easily for a nominal price. It was nice to be up away from everything, with such a serene and tranquil feel of being high in the clouds with just the hummingbirds to hang out with! The staff is incredible!!! Very genuinely nice with a great sense of hospitality!!! Lots of knowledge about the area and seriously happy to help and make your stay exactly what you dreamed it would be. If you are going to Mindo, I would go straight to the Terrabambu and make that your hotel choice for you visit to such an incredibly special place!

Mindo has so many options for accommodation, it can be hard to decide on where to stay. Well, look no further. I was so happy to have chosen Terrabambu; it has it all. The grounds are beautiful, the pool looked lovely. I didn't use it as it was a bit chilly for me, and it even has a small zipline. The location is good, just outside of the town, but easily walkable. The rooms/casitas were large and spaced from each other. But the best part was the wildlife. If you came for birds, you came to the right place. Eating breakfast with all the hummingbirds buzzing around - Amazing. We also saw Toucans and Parrots, motmots etc. I would definitely stay there, good value for your money.
