We were in Caldecote to meet a friend and also a little bit of help. So, if you want service that goes that extra mile, then look no further than the Premier Inn South Caldecote Lake. Debbie especially goes above and beyond and is lovely with it - thank you for the coffee😉

The beds at Premier Inns are always amazingly comfy and this place was no different. Unfortunately this is where the good bits end! The restaurant attached to the hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment, which means the car park is a bit of a mess. We arrived in the dark and struggled to know where to go - no real signage or decent lighting. Check in was fine but then the room was awful. It was freezing cold and took ages to heat up. It was grubby and just didn't have the usual Premier Inn feel (I stay in them a lot). Worse though there were dirty plates in the drawer. We had no idea how long they had been there, but slightly worrying housekeeping didn't spot them. We told reception who said they would collect them but they never did. We only needed a bed for the night so it was fine, but I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking to spend much time in the room and I won't be rushing back.

The hotel is a bit out of town, but is set in very nice surroundings. The main bar / restaurant was still under refurbishment so was closed during our stay. Breakfast was still available however. As a whole , we had a very good stay. Friendly, attentive staff, clean rooms and great breakfast selection. The sever at breakfast was particularly helpful. When my friend explained he had a nut allergy, she offered to have our breakfasts cooked fresh (separately) rather than self serve to avoid any potential cross contamination.

Great Premier Inn. Room a little tired. Great Breakfast. Lovely staff Chelsea was great at breakfast. Outstanding value. Located ideally for our activities. Will be back next year. ..................................................

The accommodation was good, however the breakfast that is supposed to start at 6.30 still wasn't ready at 6.40 ! If you are working and need to be somewhere at a particular time to start work then you need breakfast to start on time. Other than the tardiness the place is fine.

On arrival, we were met with the unpleasant surprise that half the hotel was essentially a building site due to the attached restaurant undergoing renovation. After a long, exhausting day of work, we found there was absolutely no facility to eat or even grab a drink—a basic amenity one would expect. When we raised this with the reception staff, we were brushed off with the excuse that it was "mentioned on the website." Not only was this information buried (if it existed at all), but it was also completely absent when I booked the hotel for three of us working on a local event. While the hotel itself was up to the usual Premier Inn standard in terms of comfort, the lack of any alternative arrangement for dining was shockingly poor service. This level of disregard for guests' needs is unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impression.
