I recently stayed at Domes White Coast in Milos, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected, especially considering the price we paid.
To start, the room we were given was advertised as a "deluxe suite," but it was nothing more than a small hotel room. The bathroom lacked privacy, with only a sheer curtain covering a glass shower, making it uncomfortable to use. The Diptyque/Molton Brown amenities shown in photos were nowhere to be found—instead, we had an unfamiliar brand in large bottles, which felt like a downgrade from what was promised.
Our check-in was delayed by an hour, and when we finally got our room, we were disappointed to find it had an accessible bathroom with a shower head right next to the toilet. After waiting six hours for the manager to come back with a solution, we were only offered a downgrade to a different room with a functional bathroom. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally, and the staff were unapologetic throughout.
Dining at the hotel was also underwhelming. The lunch we ordered was subpar—a salad made from wilted spinach and a juice that was more pulp than liquid. Moreover, the service was lacking; when we requested an ice bucket and an extra blanket, we were told nothing could be done.
Other aspects of the hotel were equally disappointing. The sun umbrellas by the pool were so unstable that one fell into the pool, creating a dangerous situation. As for the gym, it was shockingly small—literally just one treadmill, one bike, and a cable machine crammed into the space.
Overall, the experience did not live up to the luxury that was promised, and we left feeling that the hotel was not worth the premium price.
