This is a pretty expensive boutique hotel but I'm not sure the value is here. First a pet peeve of mine (and many other travelers): light pollution in hotel rooms! This hotel does not rate well in that category: a smoke detector above the bed that flashes green every 5 seconds? check; a card reader and master switch that lights up its whole area? check; a TV with a bright red dot (classic)? check; an outside light that stays on and shines brightly into the room and requires staff to cover with cardboard? check! Fortunately I always travel with a roll of dark tape to alleviate those issues but in this price category I shouldn't have to jerry rig some contraption on every light source. Then breakfast is included but not really, they nickel and dime you with paying options like the omelet and some juices, etc. In my book that's not luxury. I don't care about the cost of these options but the fact that they exist. Keep it simple, include everything and don't make the customer of your €1500 rooms pay for ridiculous options at breakfast and make them sign bills in the morning. The gym was nice enough, with the right equipment and size. No pool or spa which should be incompatible with a 5 star category. Rooftop was closed for work. Staff is nice and helpful, but some training needed here and there, for example when delivering room service don't bang loudly on the door several times, just use your pass to pry the door open and discreetly announce yourself. Details, details I know... Ah also my blood pressure always rises a notch when I see minibar water at €7. Luxury hotels are starting to understand that we hate the minibar billing which is highway robbery anyway and now include the whole minibar.
