Hotel a Mijas, Spagna

All in all a very pleasant stay. Well located within easy walking distance of the village centre yet quiet enough too. Good views if you are lucky enough to get a room on the front (centre or right). Very clean and well apportioned rooms with daily maid service. Bathroom large and showers excellent. Beds comfortable. Kettle, tea and coffee provided for the first day but any refills of the tea/coffee tray incurred extra costs. Staff very pleasant and welcoming and excellent service from reception when requiring a change of room, and when hiring a car. Pool is clean and fresh although some of the loungers seemed broken and there is a good snack and drinks bar by the pool. We opted for half board and were not disappointed. Breakfast had a very full range of hot and cold options and there was always freshly made omlettes on demand. Coffee machines very slow and did result in long waits at times. Waiting on staff efficient and friendly. Evening meals were again well stocked with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for mains. There was also a freshly prepared meat/fish option each evening: swordfish, lamb chops, veal, chickem, pork steaks etc.. Desserts were a little disappointing, much cake based and bought in mousse/ice cream pots. The major disappointment with the evening meal is there is NO option other than buying a drink, even water compared with breakfast where water, juices, teas/coffee/chocolate etc., are free flowing Why not 5 rating: The cost of a safe of 3 euros per day is a bit much. Pool towels require a deposit of 15 euros each Lack of even a glass of water at the evening meal without extra payment Would we go back, most certainly !

La stanza non era disponibile al momento del check-in. Anche se alla reception ci hanno trattato molto bene. La stanza era con poca pulizia, capelli per pavimenti e altro. Il posto era mostrato con mancanza di manutenzione. Al di là delle strutture molto buone, piscina e ginnastica eccellenti.

The hotel is really nice very big, the food was buffet style but plenty of choice... Our room was sufficient clean but view was of a tall building at the back that was being renovated which was horrible... Ask for a room looking over the pool and gardens. Couldn't fault the prices in the bar... The entertainment was aimed totally at Spanish people they took over the dance floor every night... The pool was very disappointing as was open for two days then the Manager took the decision to close it ... We were shocked as the weather was beautiful. we were told swim in doors ... l think he missed the point as l have to swim indoors all the year around that's why l save up and go to Spain...he was obnoxious....

This was such an easy trip. Out the airport, a 3 minute walk to the train station and a 25 minute train ride straight to Torreblanca station and the hotel is right there. It's a 3-4 minute walk from station right into hotel reception. There is a very short incline just before you get into hotel. Arrival was great as the staff in this hotel are always so friendly and helpful. This extends to everywhere, restaurant staff are lovely, cleaning staff are lovely, bar staff etc, everyone is so nice. I had room 406 with a spectacular sea view and looking directly onto the beautifully manicured large garden area with sunbeds well distanced from each other and positioned on the lawns. It's peacefulness personified to just lie down there and read a book. So quiet. There is a large(ish) pool down at the bottom of the gardens with a more livelier pool up above, and closer to the hotel. This tends to attract families, although it's never been really busy anytime I have stayed. I do like the small pool bar there and it's lovely to sit outside of it and just watch the families in the pool. It also has a small much shaded area if you wanted to get out the sun for a while. Amenities are a short walk away, down a hill, and about 5 minutes walk. For the less able-bodied people, it is a bit of a steep climb back up to the hotel. It's doable, but you may just need to stop and rest. Until 7pm, you can get into the hotel through a side-gate half-way up the hill by using your room card for entry. This saves going up that last part of the hill which is the steepest. What I loved most is being able to walk out the hotel straight into the train station and head to Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel, Plaza Mayor (huge shopping area) and finally back to the airport. No need to buy a ticket as just tap your bank card onto the Renfe big red dots at every station and that's you. Just don't forget to tap that dot again when you get to your destination station. All-in-all, a great holiday (always) and I have already booked for my next trip back there.

Servizio semplice, diretto e accogliente, molto felice con l'esperienza!

We visited the Holiday World resort end of May/June. On arrival we were impressed with the swift check in. As we had arrived at 9pm the hotel had kindly left us plates of food in our fridge in case we were hungry. We stayed in room 531 and had a fabulous view of the pool and the sea. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with a kitchen, large bathroom with separate bath and shower, front room with sofa bed and large bedroom. There was access to the large balcony area from both the front room and bedroom. Food is your usual All Inclusive. There was always plenty, everything was constantly replenished and the staff in the restaurant are brilliant and clearing plates or getting you a table quickly when you walk in. We enjoyed the food and always found something delicious to eat. We also booked both the Italian and Burger restaurants at the resort. The food at both was amazing and the waiters and waitresses can’t do enough for you. The pool is good and there are lots of brilliant activities run by the entertainment team. The lifeguards are very observant and constantly checking everyone is safe. Plenty of sun beds and shade if needed. The snack bar around the pool has all the usual hot and cold food along with ice cream and cakes. You can also purchase crisps and branded ice creams from the bar. The daily entertainment includes a pool party, quizzes, bingo and various inflatables for the children to have a go on. The Waterpark was fun and the kids enjoyed going there. You can hire large rubber rings for the water slides. The restaurant there is also plentiful. The evening entertainment is fabulous for the kids. The team are very friends, enthusiastic and energetic which keeps the children happy. There are different parts of the evening from the Widgets, PTY, dancing, quiz's and an evening show! It’s all based on the outdoor theatre and with the visual screen laying makes it very engaging. We went to the beach and hired some very luxurious sun beds with thick cushions and a towel for €12 and worth every penny! Overall this holiday was for kids and to keep them entertained which is exactly what it did. It is a clean, bright resort with food and drink available all day. We love our stay and would definitely return.

HOLIDAY WORLD RESORT (HWR) C’est une grande structure hôtelière composée des 3 hôtels RIWO, POLYNESIA & VILLAGE et un bâtiment annexe composé d’appartements. Le site HWR met en avant une option de réservation moins chère prénommée ROULETTE qui vous permet de réserver sans savoir jusqu’au jour de l’arrivée dans lequel des 3 hôtels vous serez logés. En ce qui nous concerne, la ROULETTE nous a attribué l'hôtel HW Village (OASIS) qui reste selon nous l’hôtel le mieux situé, et surtout le plus ensoleillée. HOLIDAY WORLD VILLAGE (HWV) Cet établissement se compose du bâtiment principal (OASIS) et du bâtiment annexe PARAISO plus tranquille. Pour chacun des deux bâtiments, il faut demander une SUITE JUNIOR vue frontale ou latérale MER exposition EST) afin de ne pas avoir la vue OUEST ombragée donnant sur la voie de chemin de fer avec le train qui passe devant votre chambre. Les suites juniors sont spacieuses, lumineuses et confortables avec coin cuisine (frigo, micro-ondes et plaque de cuisson). Les vues mer (exposition EST- Malaga-Fuengirola-et non pas SUD) et vues sur la grande piscine et les jardins de l'hôtel sont magnifiques. La qualité de la nourriture et le service du restaurant sont corrects. POINTS NÉGATIFS PARTIES COMMUNES - Le bâtiment principal OASIS, où se trouve le hall de réception peut s’avérer être bruyant surtout le week-end avec des bars, commerces & animations faites avec les locaux et les enfants. -Certains ascenseurs sont chaotiques et nécessitent un entretien de maintenance. -Le bracelet magnétique qui coûte 25 €, remboursé à votre départ (qui sert de clé et atteste la Formule Tout Inclus) ne fonctionne pas bien! : Il faut compter 1 minute et plusieurs tentatives pour pouvoir ouvrir la porte de la chambre. Nombreux membres TripAdvisor le confirment. -Mis à part une option de stationnement en parking souterrain à 15€ par jour, il est difficile de trouver une place de parking. Certains véhicules mal garés gênent la circulation. COMMUNICATION & RECEPTION Peu d’informations sont fournies: Uniquement un numéro de téléphone et un formulaire de contact reliés à une centrale de réservation qui ne parvient jamais à nous mettre en contact direct avec les hôtels. Notre demande de préférence de chambre envoyée par le formulaire 48 h avant le check-in n’est jamais parvenue à l'hôtel. SALLE DE BAINS spacieuses mais odeur nauséabonde des canalisations dans la salle de bains. Absence de pare douche dans la baignoire. CHAMBRE Il n’y a rien pour poser sa valise. Pourtant la place ne manque pas. RESTAURANT -La salle du restaurant se trouve au sous-sol (niveau -1) sans vue et hyper bruyante surtout le week-end, pour lequel les habitants de la ville et des environs du coin et les très jeunes enfants peuvent séjourner.. -Nourriture souvent tiède mais on apprécie la mise à disposition d’un four micro ondes micro ondes
