Heureusement que nous avons pu ouvrir la fenêtre car la Clim est très bruyante même à la plus faible vitesse. Sinon j’ai correctement dormi et c’est déjà bien. Il y a un parking très pratique mais payant. On est à 10 minutes à pied de la mer et d’un arrêt de tram qui va à Oostende.

La posizione dell'hotel era un po' difficile per noi, avevamo visto che siamo stati a quasi 2 km dal centro di Nieuwpoort e la tram vicino. Parcheggio all'hotel si è rivelato costoso €17 al giorno,sono €0,80 all'ora,per questo abbiamo saggiamente ringraziato e messo il nostro auto lungo la strada (gratuito) Non c'era niente da notare all'hotel,tutto era in ordine,ma poteva essere per il prezzo che abbiamo pagato in tutta la stagione (primo semestre di agosto) Colazione è €18 per persona e per giorno ...ma era estesa e costantemente era tutto riempito,solo triste che il colazione inglese fosse così buono come freddo,il disco di riscaldamento non funziona bene ( ?? ) Le bevande sono molto costose in hotel, notevolmente più costose del centro di Nieuwpoort.

Il Leopold è un hotel incredibile, utilemente vicino alla spiaggia e al Kursaal. Mi rendo conto che la forma delle camere è dittata dalla forma dell’edificio, ma la mia aveva qualche irritante chirker. Per esempio, non c'è sapone nella vasca, quindi devi saltare in camera nel doccia per spruzzare alcuni dal dispenser montato sulla parete. Le tole sono nel bagno. Non c'è superficie piatta da scrivere. Una delle casse di scarico di spazio colando una scatola di tessuto nel mezzo. Ci sono tre socket elettrici, una metà verso l’alto, quindi non c’è posto dove attaccare la caldaia, e due dovete scendere sui ginocchio per usare. Mi dispiace di non aver scelto il telefono, ma se siete in ricezione e sul telefono, almeno riconoscete l'ospite che si trova davanti a voi, cercando di accedere, mentre si sta completando la chiamata telefonica.

Been to this hotel several times over the past years. They provide consistent service. Good location. Good, friendly and efficient reception. Sometimes there's a queue for check-in (even after online check-in) and check-out (even when opted for fast check-out), as there is no separate desk for members. Nice, clean rooms. Slow elevator :-) And, also consistently (so not a one-time-off), totally overcooked scrambled eggs at breakfast. So, quite a few plusses and also a few points of attention. But I am sure I'll be back.

We stayed at Hotel Bero with our 2 little kids. As we read quite a few negative reviews on outside noises, we asked beforehand if they could guarantee a quite room. An employee called Sébastien confirmed vie e-mail to give us a room without air condition or other noise outside. Upon arrival they gave us a room next to a construction site with nonstop noise from 7am to 5pm. When we complained, they kept putting us off till later (“construction will stop tomorrow”, “I will talk to the management by tomorrow”), but nothing ever changed. They only offered another room with air condition noise outside. After the 2nd night we couldn’t handle the noise anymore and decided to go home early. When asking for a compensation due to Sébastien’s wrong written confirmation and unmet agreement, they stopped being friendly: “What did you expect when booking a hotel in the city centre?”, “This would not have happened, if you had taken the room next to the air condition”. They said they could not to more for us, but refused to give us the management’s phone number – because of data protection, while on the same hand, they had an applicant’s CV lying on the reception counter for everyone to see. Adressed to that, the receptionist yelled at us if we wanted to threaten her – she could not see how she was applying double standards. They did not give us a compensation (“because until now you used all the services, like breakfast”) – except for offering a voucher for our next stay, ironically: We left early because of the poor circumstances, why would we seriously go back to a place with noise and lying employees? I would not recommend it to anyone. We wasted a lot of money on a noisy non-relaxing holiday.

Dietro una facciata artistica decorata si nasconderà un bel hotel, completamente rinnovato e splendidamente situato a 50 metri dalla spiaggia. La decorazione è meravigliosa, l'hotel è super pulito. Le camere nel giardino sono perfette, tranquille e abbastanza spaziose con una bella bagno e una piccola terrazza. Il .Colazione è forse un po 'preziose per quello che offre, ma tutti i prodotti sono freschi e buoni. Che peccato che questo hotel non abbia un ristorante, sarebbe un piacere mangiarvi. L'unico problema è il parcheggio, non è colpa dell'hotel, ma del Panne. Piccolo bonus, i cani sono benvenuti

Séjour en cpuple pour fêter nos 4 ans, dans ce très bel hôtel. Super bien placer dans un endroit très calme et à 800m de la plage seulement ( 10min à pied en suivant une magnifique rue ouverte ) Déjeuner très copieux, on a absolument tout apprécier. Très bonne fréquentation, donc très calme la nuit. Chambre espace suffisante et moderne, salle de bain moderne également, peut-être un petit peu trop petite quand mmême Lit et matelas confortable. On entends un peu le bruit extérieure, sûrement un simple vitrage en fenêtre. Bref si on reviens dans cette magnifique ville, in choisira sûrement encore une fois cet hôtel. Vive la chaîne Ibis, une valeure sur.

I stayed at Hotel Astoria with my family in August 2022. This is one of the priciest hotels in De Haan which itself is an expensive city. To start with the hotel does not have a step-free entrance, quite shocking in this day and age so if you are travelling with lots of luggage, have a family with a push-chair (like us) or a wheel-chair user rule out staying here straight away. There are about ten high steps to access the hotel, staff offer no help instead they actually look at you like you are a nuisance. At arrival, the check-in staff tried to charge us for the extra bed in the room without bothering to see the booking so be careful if travelling with a family. We were told we can have a complimentary drink from their bar. When trying to claim this offer the staff makes you feel like you are a freeloader, pure rude behaviour followed by a list of drinks that the offer doesn't cover. Basically you can only have a beer or a soft drink. They say they have parking on premises but it's actually just free off-street parking. On the day of our departure there was a fare in the city center so we had to park our car 2miles away. The staff prefers business from walk-in customers in bar and restaurant over hotel guests. Attitude towards children was specially cold and distant, again making us feel like we are causing them extra work.
