Dominion Polanco

My employer sent me to Mexico for a project and booked me into Dominion Polanco. My stay was absolutely fabulous! Staff are very friendly and helpful (although most of them don´t speak English), rooms are spacious and comfortable, the area is very safe with lots of visible policing, the facilities (I used the pool, gym and jacuzzi) are excellent. Security is 24h and the high fences at the back provide a good deal of privacy. The management can all speak English and are very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast buffet is provided - a tasty mix of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and typically 2 hot dishes (typically at least 1 of them being Mexican). The beds are very comfortable and the kitchens are well-equipped. During my stay, there was some construction work going behind the apartments, which made the pool area a bit noisy (although the apartment doors filtered out the noise). The bedrooms have airconditioning (unlikely to be needed). Also during my stay, we had to evacuate once due to an earthquake warning, which was handled very professionally by the security staff. Highly recommended!

It was great, the breakfast buffet was small but good, and the rooms were comfy, big and good, but it did have a few malfunctions- though, of course, that depends on the room. The shower system will be different for everyone, you might have to turn the knob left, middle or right to make it warm. However, it's in a great destination, close to many things, and they are quick to fix things.

The staff are very friendly and helpful - although the management speak english most of the staff do not, so a little Spanish goes a long way. Security is 24/7 and the one incident where it mattered (earthquake evacuation drill) the security team were very helpful and professional. Suits are comfortable and spacious, beds are very comfortable and the breakfast buffet is a tasty combination of Mexican food, cereal, toast, fruit, egg, etc. The bedrooms have air-conditioning, which came in handy during the early summer heatwave. The pool, jacuzzi and gym are well-maintained and very enjoyable. There is an onsite spa (which I didn't use but my wife did and she gave very good feedback). The area can be a wee bit noisy due to nearby building construction and lively restaurants. The kitchen is well-equipped. The washing machine and dryer work very well and are easy to use.

The suites are spacious and comfortable and the bedroom air-conditioning came in handy during the early summer heatwave. The beds are very comfortable. The pool, jacuzzi and gym are well-maintained, clean and enjoyable to use. The breakfast buffet is a tasty combination of Mexican dishes, fruit, cereal, toast, eggs, etc. The dining room can be a wee bit busy during peak times. Being opposite the Angela Peralta theatre, on some saturday nights one can enjoy beautiful live music from the comfort of the living room. Wifi is great, which came in handy since I have to videoconference from the flat quite often. The area could be a bit noisy especially for the suites on the lower floors as there was construction going on at a nearby building and there are a few lively restaurants close by.

The apartment feels like a cool, chic, comfy home. Mid-century meets modern. The beds are soft, the size of the bathrooms are big enough. We do our laundry in the washer/dryer. The kitchen is well stocked and the living room is spacious. Love the hotel benefits like the breakfast and efficient daily cleaning of the rooms.

The staff was terrific, friendly, professional and kind. This included the managers, security and cleaning crew. The property location is outstanding. Areas for improvement: -WiFi was inconsistent. It was far worse at night. -For a long stay the breakfast became mundane as it was mostly the same everyday.
