Mariner Shores Club

Mariner Shores can look like a great resort on paper, but the reality is that the bed in the master suite is like a torture chamber piece. The management know there’s issues with it and will provide an egg shell foam mattress topper or two (which we tried) but it’s literally just a few millimetres of foam on top of had wire mattress- useless! So even though the resort has some great features, such as the indoor pool, mini golf and games room, it’s pretty hard to recommend the resort when one can’t get a comfortable nights sleep, especially when one considers the cost per night of the accommodation. We are also shocked that the indoor spa is no longer a ‘hot’ spa as they’ve reduced the temperature in the spa to the same as the pool?? Would have to say that overall, the resort is disappointing. There also is no more meet and greet night for guests and the information compendium has moved to a clunky online app to be downloaded. A real pity to see a great resort go down hill.

Worst stay ever, left 4 days early. The beds are ancient and unacceptable for people to sleep on as the springs stick into your back despite having old toppers on the mattress. The apartment is dated with paint peeling off the ceiling in the ensuite, holes in the walls and ceilings, discoloured benches, doors to the balcony hardly open or close from the wear, the place is dirty, screen doors have not been cleaned or maintained, drawers are rusted, cockroaches in the bathroom and entrance, the couches are so dirty it is unusable, and the management don’t care. When I asked for assistance to sort it out they said it was personal preference and they can’t help me, and I am welcome to write as many reviews as I want. They said people have stayed there before me and people will stay there after me and I am welcome to leave if I am not happy. Also don’t expect any privacy or peace and quiet - the people in the adult lounge look straight into your room and make so much noise with no respect for other travellers.

Very safe, Across the road from Miami beach and a short walk up the road were two supermarkets, a sushi train, bakery and other shops

I love Mariner Shores Resort and have written glowing reviews in the past, but I can't now as the Queen beds are simply dreadful! The management is aware of these hard beds with big thick wire everywhere, and provide egg carton foam mattress toppers which are 2cm thick at best to try and make this bed more comfortable. They apparently even will put two of them on the bed if requested, but they did not do so when we requested this. Of course, this foam does very little to relieve the hard feeling and after a few days sleeping on this bed we get a sore back- even though we do not have back issues!! So sorry, we can not recommend staying there as with the awful bed it is not four star and it's not worth paying at all to sleep on the bed when honestly sleeping on the carpet would be more comfortable. At least try the removable pillow tops the bed manufacturer makes for their beds as that might solve the problem. The sad part is that otherwise these beds will take years to wear out- they will probably rust out first and that's just not good enough for people paying money for levies or guest paying to stay there. Time for action!

This resort has just about everything you need for your holiday. Fully equipped kitchens, 2 bathrooms, games rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and spas , tennis courts and putt putt . Very friendly staff. Clean, tidy, well kept grounds,

From check in to check out our week stay was exceptional. Staff are so friendly and as a consequence completely approachable. On arrival we were greeted so pleasantly at reception - couldn't have asked for better. Our unit was spotless, in fact the whole resort was neat tidy and clean. Amenities were numberable - Indoor Outdoor pools mini golf tennis close to beach shopping and wonderful cafes and restaurants

From check-in to check-out everything went smoothly. We had a large two-bedroom unit with plenty of room for six people. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals when not at the Surf Clubs, the fabulous Pavillion and other eateries. Fabulous pastries at the Custard Canteen not too far away. The indoor pool was heated and the children loved it after a dip in the cool surf. Lots of things to do in the resort and in the surrounding areas. We spent many hours strolling from the north to the south of the long, clean beach, stopping at the three patrolled areas for the children to play and swim. A fantastic holiday all round.

Ground floor not that great as quite dark and noisy with mini golf outside our unit for the 1st week. Sunshine for our 2nd week much better. Surf Club across the road very handy for meals. We enjoyed beach walks every day and found golf clubs not too far away.
