Hotel in zona Ses Capelles de Cala en Forcat, Minorca

Difficil to grading this hotel as it's not the kind we'd normally choose, but as this was chosen for us by our tour company for a overnight stay during our Cami de Cavalls island tour, we checked in with the lovely and very friendly staff and were then .. Beh.. lasciatevi essere gentili e dite che la nostra stanza era ... bijou Di nuovo, era tutto molto pulito con un sacco di asciugamani bianchi che erano buoni, ma immagino avrà bisogno di sostituire presto abbastanza.. Ma seriamente.. Dico bijou.. E c'è piccolo e c'è piccolo, c'era quasi abbastanza spazio per andare intorno al letto.. Il con d'aria è un fan di tre velocità massimali, così fortunatamente per noi era un freddo May così davvero non era necessario, ma immagina le cose sono molto diverse in agosto. Il bagno era sufficiente, ma oh ragazzo, abbiamo imparato rapidamente a non lasciare il fan in quanto ha fatto solo che i drenaggi odore due volte più cattivo al punto di quasi segnalare alla ricezione, e se rimanere più a lungo probabilmente avrebbe fatto.. Colazione è stata sufficiente.. ma, onestamente, c'era un cestino di carne fredda e formaggio che non ci siamo avvicinati, perché non potevamo decidere di sbattere accidentalmente fuori il cassetto, così un nuovo sacco doveva essere portato fuori, o solo cantare Felici anniversari.. C’era una piastra di uova scrambled che, evitando, si è fatto per la scelta sicura di tosta e giovenco con caffè e succo da un negozio acquistato con la serbatura sul tappeto. e rischiato un paio di pascoli Come ho detto all'inizio, per il prezzo, avete un letto pulito e confortevole, e anche avere l'opzione di colazione al mattino... è solo da qualche parte che personalmente non sceglieremmo di tornare.. we’re sure it will continue to be full through the year.. What I couldn’t get is how there are 30+ higher graded hotels than this in town??

Séjour en famille à l'occasion des vacances de la Toussaint. Nous avons été enchantés par l'architecture de cette résidence de vacances. Très grande piscine à débordement avec vue sur la baie Les appartements sont spacieux, bien équipés. Les lits confortables et les terrasses très agréables Nous avons adorés être au 2ème étage (étage le plus haut) pour admirer la vue sur la plage

Bene, il soggiorno e molto bello.

We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

Tutto perfetto, posizione splendida sul mare, ma soprattutto ad Es Castell, luogo tranquillo e molto carino, soprattutto nella zona di Cales Fonts, pulizia super, efficienza nella sistemazione dei guasti, personale disponibile e gentile, cibo di qualità e vario, l'unico neo la nostra stanza non aveva il balcone. Avendo prenotato una superior e stando 11 giorni, ci aspettavamo una camera, anche interna, ma con balcone, perché far asciugare costumi e teli da mare era davvero un'impresa. Dalla finestra si vedeva un pezzo di mare, ma avremmo preferito una camera anche vista piscina, come da descrizione delle superior, ma con balcone. Io avrei voluto farmi cambiare la stanza, ma mio marito non ha voluto che disturbassi...nell'assegnazione delle camere forse occorrerebbe maggiore attenzione anche al tempo di permanenza dell'ospite, ovviamente nel rispetto della tipologia di camera prenotata. A parte questa nota stonata, se si vuole soggiornare a Minorca, girarla in lungo e in largo e avere un soggiorno confortevole, il Barcelò Hamilton é assolutamente il luogo migliore

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.
