Hotel in zona Centre zoològic, Minorca

Ci siamo sentiti davvero i benvenuti nel castello di Rafael e Anna. Camera piccola ma pulita e dotata di tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno. Solo il box doccia era molto stretto, ma ci siamo semplicemente adattati. Asciugamani freschi e pulizia della camera tutti i giorni. Ho apprezzato la cucina di Anna 2 volte. Menu semplice ma di buon gusto

What a find! Expectations were high and the hotel and its marvellous team did not disappoint. Location (a ten minute taxi ride from the airport and only a few minutes walk to the harbour), its styling, its service with a smile (especially Bella's at breakfast), Luisa, Anna - everyone so happy to see you, making sure everything was ok. Room with sunbed terrace on the top floor so beautifully designed, our twin beds and bedding just divine, sumptuous pillows (a pillow menu!), air con silent and effective, L'Occitane toiletries, room cleaned with care every day. The most perfect of continental breakfasts; smoked salmon, avo, mushrooms, fresh fruit, croissants etc...perfectly ripe and freshly baked. No rickety table or sticky menu, here. Bean-to-cup coffee machine and assorted tea bags free all day, snacks too at lunchtime. Small garden and pool downstairs was a lovely alternative for reading, whilst cooling in the pool, or playing cards in the shade. Library/reading room with its quality books and art, providing a serene and relaxing venue to escape the sun at its hottest. My friend and i have travelled a lot and we notice everything! This hotel was just fantastic in every way - this is how it should be done. We will definitely be back.

Ci siamo trasferiti e abbiamo alloggiato in un hotel vicino a La Isla. Le camere sono molto belle, i bagni sono grandi e la posizione è ideale, vicinissima al centro storico della città e al porto. Puoi fare tutto a piedi e nelle vicinanze c'è un parcheggio gratuito. La colazione è molto semplice, perché non abbiamo un buffet a causa del COVID, e all'improvviso non è così generoso, ci godiamo ancora succo d'arancia fatto in casa e caffè di qualità, ma mangeremo un po' di più

We have just returned from two glorious weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room overlooking the start of the estuary and the Isle de Rei. The morning sunrise was just fabulous! I had read before my visit that although the walk-in showers had been completed, the rooms themselves needed a refurbish. Well the bathroom is lovely. You have shampoo, bath wash and gorgeous body milk. Beautiful shower area. Such a delight! Yes, the rooms are looking well worn, but my only criticism would be lack of drawer space. If you are staying for two weeks it can be tricky to keep your clothes ‘tidy’ all piled up in the wardrobe. The hotel is blessed with the most wonderful happy staff! Thank you to all we met who enhanced our stay with their positive attitude. Special mention has to go though to Harold at the bar. A true professional! His cocktails never disappointed ! The food in the dining room was really good when we arrived. Lots of choice and of a very good quality. Towards the end of our stay, when numbers dwindled, there was still a great display of Menorcan foods, meats and cheeses. The soup was divine, and the different breads just lovely. Salads were plentiful and varied, and the puddings were scrumptious! There was still always something tasty and different to choose every evening. The chefs were continually checking the food and replacing it when necessary. Cleo and Alexander were great hosts. There was low key entertainment twice a week. Good singers, and we particularly loved the jazz trio on the last evening. They put their own take on many popular songs and did it very well. Es Castell is full of history, and we enjoyed visiting Mahon. You can either walk for about 15 to 20 mins, or catch a bus into the station. From here you can use the buses to visit other places very easily. Or walk down into the town and take in all the sights! There is a fish market and attached to it an area which does tapas and all different kinds fishy snacks. On our last Saturday there was music and it made for a lovely atmosphere. Would we return to the Agamemon? Certainly we will! The views are a delight, always something different going on.

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.

Siamo stati in questa struttura per 10 giorni ..... abbiamo preso avendo.una bimba di quasi 2 anni un appartamento e devo dire spazioso...comodo e molto pulito.... piscina grande e molto carina e anche la piscina per i bimbi è veramente qualcosa di ottimo.... mangiare veramente curato e sempre abbondante con personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile.... ogni sera per chi non vuole uscire c'è sempre uno spettacolo nella sala terrazzo adibita a bar.... Soltanto tre annotazioni.. la prima che avevamo la vasca che si riempiva di acqua non defluendo regolarmente e quindi ristagna va e per fare 3 docce occorreva aspettare un po di tempo..... soltanto al 3 sollecito sono riusciti a risolvere il problema .... tutte le sere post cena anche quando siamo usciti siamo sempre passati al bar consumando e guardando lo spettacolo così la bimba ballava... una sera abbiamo chiesto un bicchiere di acqua x la bimba ci è stato detto che acqua non era possibile se non acquistando una bottiglia.... un grande albergo credo non debba rispondere in questo modo..... ultima cosa x me nella mezza pensione come in questa struttura è giusto che le bevande vadano sempre pagate ma credo sia anche giusto non far pagare l acqua....

La struttura è molto bella e ben tenuta con una costante supervisione. C'è molto personale e sono tutti molto gentili ed attenti. La camera veniva pulita oggi giorno, le lenzuola cambiate una volta a settimana, asciugamani ogni giorno se richiesto, altrimenti ogni 2 giorni. La asciugamani per la piscina sono gratuite se richieste: basta lasciare una cauzione che poi verrà restituita. La nostra camera al 3 piano vista mare era molto bella, luminoa, ventilata e grande. La terrazza la sera andava in ombra permettendoci di godercela al meglio, c'è un piccolo stendino richiudibile che è comodissimo. Piscina grande e ben tenuta. Servirebbe maggiore attenzione a chi occupa con le sole asciugamani i lettini per ore. È vietato dal regolamento ma molte persone sono maleducate. Abbiamo scelto la mezza pensione: colazione ottima, cena varia e del tutto accettabile anche per me che sono vegetariana. Trattasi di cucina internazione ovviamente. Le bevande non sono incluse ma i prezzi sono più che onesti. Discesa al mare comodissima direttamente dall' hotel. La spiaggia è divisa in due: una parte è libera l' altra attrezzata. La spiaggia è parecchio invasa dalle alghe ma il mare è pulito. Basta fare una breve passeggiata ed andare al di là del promontorio per trovare mare perfetto, sabbia bianca e niente alghe.
