We have visiting Melonaras for over 10 years and have stayed in numerous apartments / hotels in that time and have really enjoyed our visits. Melonaras is a quiet resort with some nice restaurants, lovely beach, and a nice promenade. This year we decided to return to Melonaras and booked Eden Melonaras for 15 nights from 30th May to 14th June through ***********. We were familiar with the location of the apartments which is in the very well-maintained grounds / gardens adjacent to a 5-star hotel and close to the beach and restaurants. We booked the apartment in October 2022 and requested a top floor, quiet apartment through the *********** reservation messaging facility and we received confirmation from *********** that our request had been granted by the apartment management. Everything seemed fine and we were looking forward to returning to Melonaras. We arrived at Eden Melonaras at approximately 8 pm, the reception was closed as it is only open from 12 noon until 6pm but the key was left in a key safe outside the reception. We collected the key to our apartment (no. 104) and discovered that the apartment we were allocated was ground floor so our request for a top floor, quiet apartment was obviously ignored or overlooked. The apartment was very small and can be best described as a hallway with a bathroom off it. There was no natural light anywhere in the apartment which meant that inside was constantly dark. The next day we went to reception at 12 noon and explained to the lady at the reception desk that the room was not what we had been promised. She seemed a little indifferent to our situation and said that *********** should not have given us the confirmation of a top floor apartment as they were priced at a higher rate per night and there was none available anyway, but she would check with her manager. We explained that we would pay the additional rate, but we would need to know as soon as possible as if there was no availability as we would need to find alternative accommodation. After an hour the receptionist called us to let us know that a top-floor apartment was available the following day but there would be a supplement charge of €170. We decided to accept this option and paid the supplement and moved to the top floor apartment hoping to put the situation behind us and start to enjoy our holiday. This whole situation could have been easily avoided if the different apartment location rates were transparent on the *********** website. After the second day in the new apartment, a group of teenage girls moved into the apartment next to ours and another group in the same party into the end apartment opposite. The loud music on the balcony started at about 7pm and usually ended at 12.30 - 1.00 am. The next day we mentioned the issue to the lady at reception and she said there had been other complaints and if it continued, they would be asked to leave. We explained that we have no problem with people enjoying themselves on holidays,
