This hotel (2 nights) was part of a month long car road trip and not walking the camino. The look and feel and quiet of this hotel is five star and indeed the room was cool in every sense of the word (no a/c which we knew beforehand) All the staff and indeed the (walking) guests we met were amazing. So what's my gripe... Well the food - very limited and odd dinner & breakfast menu. In fact when we came to order dinner there was only one portion of meatballs left and this had to be served with mash because they ran out of rice. Portions very small and menu could only be described as odd (as the meatballs had run out I had to have a scrambled egg dish) Monday came and the restaurant is closed (4 star hotel?) and very little available in the village. (drove to Burgos) Everything else about this hotel is fantastic, the building is amazing, gardens beautiful, room perfect and of course no end of walks. Lots of drink available via honesty bar and free coffee. Please guys up your food offering and attract more people, but I really admire everything you do.

We stayed one night. Out of our 42 day Camino trip…about half way through, and this was by far THE standout. It was pure bliss. So appreciated after walking through a day of mud…you get to the gates and walk through the most idyllic garden, literally a sanctuary, and greeted by the most lovely staff of our entire Camino. The Quinta feels like you are at home. Beautiful artworks, furnishings, scents, food, garden. The most comfy bed. It was just so beautiful, like a dream. Thank you so much

Wow! My husband found this wonderful oasis on our Camino when sore feet and everything else were kicking in. Welcoming warm and wonderful… it was just fabulous. Thanks to all the staff who couldn’t have been more hospitable. And refreshed, on we walk tomorrow 🥾🥾

The perfect oasis ! Stopped here for a 2 night stay on our Camino De Santiago and were very pleasantly surprised and impressed. It sits approximately half way on the Camino making it the perfect place for a rest and recharge. We were welcomed by very helpful and caring staff from the moment we entered. The experience was made even more pleasant by the facilities available especially the Wellness centre. Our thanks to Leandro and Eva + staff.

In one word: fantastic! Buenisimo!!! Great quinta with a super beautiful garden, great view and location, delicious food and above all super hospitality! Made a nice bike ride and heard beautiful stories from pilgrims. We really enjoyed 4 days! Thank you all!

This hotel is a rare find and a perfect stopover on the trip between Biarritz or San Sebastián and Salamanca. Clean, big, comfortable rooms with balconies. Castro Jeriz is a beautiful little town with amazing castle ruins and church museum. A great place to splash out for a night when doing the Camino. You don’t have to suffer all the time.

This new architect designed hotel/retreat is located within the ancient walls of the Convent of San Francisco in Castrojeriz, nestled next to a cherry tree orchid. Almost in the centre of town. The word oasis comes to mind. We stayed a night for some luxurious relaxation after walking the Camino and staying in hotels, hostels and Alberques, it was sensational. The room was modern and large. The beds were very comfortable with amazing sheets. We relaxed in the wet and dry saunas and heated relaxation beds before having an excellent meal in the restaurant - it was easily the best we have had on the Camino. The family behind the establishment is immensely proud of what they have created and it shows in the top quality service and attention to detail. A highlight of our Camino!

I hate to even post my review because word will get out about this fantastic oasis along the Camino Frances. Then I’ll have to share it with other guests when I next visit! But seriously, it was absolutely wonderful and refreshing. The architecture: simple, modern and historic blends, and thoughtful. The staff: extremely attentive and caring. The food: delicious. The ambiance: relax, renew, and regenerate. And best of all on a starry moonlit night stroll through the gardens, a cat with a broken tail extending a greeting to a weary Pilgrim.
