After many years of delayed construction we stayed at the Ritz Carlton this past Sunday night. I grabbed a rate of $491 through the Marriott website which is comparable or a bit cheaper than other 5* hotels at the other end of town. The hotel is situated at the western end of the city near the main railway station which isn't the best location in Melb for a luxury hotel. However when pulling into the entrance to have the car valet parked ($75) it's another world. The guys at the entrance were friendly and very helpful. We were escorted to the lifts and whisked up to Level 80 for check in. We were given lots of information about the hotel and facilities and the man checking us in was pleasant and tole us that we were as close to the top on Level 77. The room is spacious with a separate toilet, luggage compartment and big bathroom with bath and a large desk. The views were incredible looking across the city to the east and the bay. Unfortunately our room was a couple of levels above the neighbouring tall building so I could hear the air con all night. As typical of luxury hotels the bed had too soft pillows for my liking and we should've asked for firmer pillows, I don't know why hotels continue to provide such soft pillows. I went to Level 64 for a swim in the shallow pool which was great with incredible views. We met friends and family for drinks in the lounge where the service was prompt and friendly but the drinks are very expensive which is to be expected of a luxury hotel. On the Sunday night near midnight there was a 3.8 richter earthquake in Melbourne but I didn't feel it but my wife said the building moved slightly and I did notice the clock had moved slightly. Breakfast on the long table is fantastic and we thought the breakfast was reasonably priced a la carte only with good selection available. I would stay here again given the right rate but keep in mind the hotel is a tram ride into the shopping and most of the restaurants are up the other end of the city.

Absolutely fabulous! The room we stayed in had two double beds and was so spacious and well appointed. There was a coffee machine, dressing gowns, glasses and other great amenities in the room. The bathroom was also so generous you could swing a cat in there. The shower was piping hot and had great water pressure and the beds were super comfortable. Yes, there is building works happening next door but to be honest, it really didn’t bother us at all or disturb us from our sleep. The location was also perfect for attending the football as you are literally right next to Marvel stadium. The breakfast was also really nice and had all your basic hot foods and fruit. The chef would also cook an egg to your specification. Very happy and will definitely be back again.

L'appartamento era pulito ma molto piccolo. Il giorno prima abbiamo ricevuto un messaggio che diceva che dovevamo prendere le chiavi da un ufficio piuttosto che dall'edificio. Le istruzioni per trovare l’edificio erano minime e non chiare, quindi non era facile trovare mentre trascinava le borse. L’appartamento non era stato creato come richiesto - avevamo prenotato per cinque persone e dovevamo cacciare il legno, ecc. Il condizionamento dell’aria era difettoso. Il modem non è stato commutato e nonostante i segni di non toccarlo, ci è stato detto di spensarlo e di spostarlo! Il lavastoviglie non era commutato e il commutatore di potenza era davvero difficile da accedere. Abbiamo ricevuto molte richieste al personale e le risposte sono state dissuasive e brutte, e non ci consiglieremmo di rimanere qui, poiché la zona è stata devastata il fine settimana con poche opzioni alimentari.

We stayed here 3 nights in our travel trip. The hotel located in centre of the city. Price of room staying is valueable. Breakfast is good and enough for traveling day.. Nice staffs. We left early morning with great brf take away. One thing we are not really happy is that we had to wait for a 35-40 mins to check in, even we came after 15:00. The hotel requested a deposit per room even we made 2 reservations for all. It took time I think. I traveled more than 40 countries in the world but almost they used one card for one deposit only. We really made questions ourselves about reason why of this matter. But overall we had good time at the hotel.

In generale, scrivo un commento dopo aver lasciato per valutare l'intera esperienza. Sono stato qui 2 ore e sono pronto . Sono rimasto qui per molto tempo a causa della grande posizione, vicino al grande trasporto pubblico, a piedi alle strade commerciali, grandi camere e il tranquillo che viene solo da vecchi edifici solidi . Le camere sono estremamente confortevoli con grandi cucine in piccole ma ben pensato camere studio . Una volta ho perso un sacchetto di gioielli costosi qui . Il personale ha avuto grandi difficoltà a trovare e rimetterlo a me, quindi sono grato al cliente di ritorno . Anche se con tanti hotel molto buoni il Grand possiede il proprio a tutti i livelli. Non è nemmeno un alto rischio che amo. La mia visita oggi è stata un altro grande momento ( scusa il pun ) . Siamo arrivati molto tardi e siamo stati salutati da un uomo carino e utile che ha aiutato a parcheggiare. Mi ha seduto e abbiamo avuto un breve ma piacevole chat con qualche suggerimento molto apprezzato dare a qualcuno che conosce la città. Questo signore non ha lasciato dubbio che aspettava il nostro arrivo ci ha salutato per nome, con pazienza e preoccupazione solo che il nostro check-in sarebbe stato veloce, regolare e tutte le nostre esigenze sarebbero soddisfatte. Il nostro hotel è stato molto confortevole e ha un'ottima esperienza di ricezione e di ricezione. I prodotti forniti erano deliziosi, solo la necessità di curare. Poi noto sul tavolo una carta scritta a mano e un sacchetto di cioccolato- il modo di tornare meglio con l'età. Se sentirsi a casa e conforto è importante per voi non guardare più lontano che il Grand Grand Hotel. Come Denise ha citato Oscar Wild sulla carta “ coloro che Dio ama crescere più giovane”. Mi aspetto di svegliarti & essere 30 !!

Super nice hostel with a very friendly stuff. They are multilingual, which makes life easy for everyone new in town. Apart from that, it’s clean, they have a huge kitchen and a roof top (which is 🤩). There are small events that organized internally for people to gather together, such as a pizza time (for free!!) and so on. Good good!

Rimasto nell'appartamento 1211. Ha 2 camere da letto doppie e 2 bagni, 1 è stato seguito. È stato notato che c'era anche un letto piegato in una cabina. L'appartamento era spazioso e pulito, aveva tutto quello che potevamo pensare: asciugacapelli, lavatrice, asciugatrice, vuoto, qualche asciugamano, lavastoviglie, microonde, forno, caldaia, detergenti, pote, pani, cutter, ecc, caffè, ferro e tavolo. La più grande terrazza che abbia mai visto, con vista interrotta sulla Yarra e sulla baia di Port Philip a distanza, più la linea cieca della città. Non potevo difettare questo appartamento e era direttamente al centro di convenzione e esposizione ( lasciare solo attraverso la via del lato del fiume e camminare attraverso il ponte di piedi sopra la Yarra, proprio accanto al complesso dell'appartamento. ) Il centro esposizione ha offerto diverse opzioni per il cibo e un centro commerciale DFO. L'ingresso principale all'edificio appartamento è sulla Sitzley Street e sembra una strada di servizio verso i parchi auto. La ricezione è sul lato di Sitzley Street, accanto a una mini mart, che ha venduto basi, anche se non sarete necessariamente in grado di fornire tutte le vostre esigenze alimentari da esso, ma era ok per latte, snacks e pasta dentale. Il complesso aveva una piscina interna, che sembrava pulita e di dimensioni decente (non l'abbiamo usata), tutto il posto era senza spot e non esitavo a restare di nuovo. I tram 35, 70 e 75 (penso) sono una strada da Sitzley Street, il 35 è il cerchio che va intorno al centro della città.

Wow this has now become my favourite place to stay when visiting Melbourne. Location is fantastic- I walked straight from the country train at Southern Cross across the road to the hotel. It also has the Bourke St tram right out the front of the side entrance, easy access into the Mall and shops. Short walk to Collins St tram so easy for the Theatre. And right across the road to the Spencer St Outlet with shops and food. My husband walked to the football at Marvel Stadium, so was happy with that. The staff (not matter where they worked) were all very friendly and helpful, so well done to the recruitment team on picking the right staff. The rooms (we stayed room 619) were clean and very comfortable. Shower fantastic. We loved the lobby area and the chocolate hour. The pool looked lovely and will use it next time. I really could not find a fault with this hotel and I have stayed in many, after a long career in Aviation. This will definitely be the hotel we stay when we come to Melbourne.

Le camere sono state progettate professionalmente e in condizioni di nuova qualità. Le forniture di cucina sono un bonus piacevolmente inaspettato. Le attrezzature di lavanderia hanno fatto un grande lavoro con i nostri vestiti e asciugamani. Grande vista sul fiume Yarra. Facile per entrare e uscire in sicurezza con una chiave. Amichevole, personale paziente che erano sempre felici di aiutare. Ci era un 7Eleven e McDonalds situato praticamente vicino alla porta - sempre conveniente. Solo con era che era un po ' freddo nelle mattine (ci siamo viaggiati in inverno). In generale, un piacevole, amichevole soggiorno con comfort intorno.
