My brother got married here at this hotel. Such a nice hotel from when you drive up to the staff who are nice and friendly! The family room is nice and big. The hotel is located just of an A road with the views of the countryside and not too far from East Midlands airport too as you can see and hear the airplanes got over head. I would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet getaway and even a nice small wedding as they have everything on sight for your whole day.

Convenient location to city & St Kilda Parking is $19/night extra - ouch ! Allocated room was just so so with outlook over a construction site. We did not wait to see if excavations would start at 7am. But to get moved to a better room, as originally requested was ‘quite a process’ and not done willingly. Once settled in a room, worthy of the tariff, it was quite comfortable. Wi-Fi is “public “ hence unprotected- which is “ very poor practice “. The hotel is pet friendly & (apparently) bicycle friendly. Maintenance was required for 3 items in the bathroom. In addition the shower was moldy and dirty around the lower area and condensation dripped from the ceiling onto the baggage shelf. Housekeeping does not answer the phone on any of the occasions we tried to call. After room service on the 3rd day, bath towels were missing. It only took 2 more calls to the front desk to get them provided. Is it staff shortages, lack of care or lack of training? Regardless, we paid full price and received less than what we paid for. “Can do much better” is my conclusion.

We stayed for one night. The room was very clean and decor was lovely, however the en-suite was interesting!! It was down some steep steps, there was no door and the toilet was in full view of the bedroom, so absolutely no privacy! By the time we realised this we had already unpacked so we decided to put up with it as it was only for one night. We were really surprised and disappointed to find there was no bar or restaurant at the hotel so we were going to have to go into Melbourne. We had a problem getting a taxi in, but didn’t realise it was going to be impossible to get a taxi back at about 10pm. The hotel owner very kindly came out to get us which was greatly appreciated, but it would certainly be worth the hotel having some sort of arrangement to provide that transport link. Breakfast the next morning was between 7.30 and 8.30am which is very early when you are wanting to relax a bit, away from home. Overall, a nice hotel but with a few issues which need resolving.

We stayed here for 1 night aa had a works party down the road. This is a lovely hotel staff are lovely and friendly, requested a iron and board when booked and was in our room when we checked in. Great room and very comfy the only down side is not to of had a mirror above the dressing table, I had to take the chair and my makeup ect round where the wardrobe/ door was to get ready apart from that it was excellent. Breakfast was 5 stars faultless

Don't use this hotel they discriminate against people with disabilities especially people who need guide dogs they refuse entry, even though it's illegal was booking with a wedding party and because my partner required a guide dog, they refused entry

Really couldn’t fault this place at all. The hosts went above and beyond to cater to us. We stayed the night before visiting donington park for a track day, due to this we arrived later evening, and were met by very welcoming staff. Beds were comfy and the room was clean, could hear the planes but this didn’t cause any issues at all. We asked if we could have breakfast a little bit early due to needing to be at the track at around 8:30, and this was met with no issues at all. Breakfast was gorgeous, served hot and set is up for a lovely day.

Stayed at the MVH for two nights for a family wedding. Faultless from start to finish. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds, Superb venue for a wedding, and the staff were lovely. Lovely breakfast and everything clean and tidy and spotlessly clean. Cannot rate this place high enough, definitely would stay again.

We stopped here overnight before flying from East Midlands Airport. Everything was absolutely spot on from the moment we checked in, until the time we checked out. The views across the countryside are stunning. With it being close to the airport, you expect a little noise as its on the flightpath BUT after a few have gone over, you don't really notice . The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable, only 1 TINY moan, the 1 we had, had a sloped ceiling, so you could bump your head if not careful . The breakfast was amazing and the staff made it better by cooking what you wanted. By that I mean one of my daughters is extremely fussy and wanted eggs, she asked how they did them and was told straight away " however you want them" and not just "boiled, fried etc". Made to feel welcome from start to finish.

Very nervous how this would go It was so cheap for the whole day compared to the bigger hotels The package they offered was amazing Can’t fault anything!! And the food was amazing. Hog roast for supper at night was WOW. THE ROOMS ARE LOVELY. Very comfy and look over the grounds towards breedon hill. Everything was very organised- the day was beautiful and casual just like the very happy couple wanted. Perfect. Perfect setting. Perfect decoration and normal priced bar. Recommend??? Of course!!!
