The lake is perfect for swimming, or you can take our kayaks and beach toys and enjoy a day at the lake. Just be sure to wear a life vest. Just down the road from Lake Laura is a workout center, tennis courts, the Royal Golf course, and clubhouse. You can golf at Tullymore, Saint Ives, and other courses in the area.In the fall you will enjoy the scenic changing colors of the trees in the woods surrounding this secluded property. Relax outdoors by a warm fire and roast some marshmallows. You will be amazed at the starry night sky. Take a color tour around Northern Michigan, stop by The Winery at Young Farms just down the road, and come back here to unwind and cookout on the Blackstone Grill.In the colder months, this area is transformed into a winter wonderland. Deer and other wildlife travel through the woods surrounding the property. Snowmobile trails, ski hills, and Soaring Eagle Casino are close by. This was the camp cooks' cabin just on the other side of the cafeteria at Gray's Riverside Camp. It has been restored into a 1 bedroom 1 bath cabin for 2 people. This is a 12-square-foot cabin with a cozy bedroom, you'll find a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Stay connected with WiFi and enjoy the warmth of the heating system during cooler evenings. The outside of the cabin is cinderblock but the inside is something you will feel comfortable in if you like tiny homes. The doorways are smaller along with the bathroom. This is a loft cabin that sleeps 6. 4 in the loft and 2 on the main floor. The property is amazing. It sits on the Muskegon River but you won’t have river views from the cabin, however, you can walk to it. You can also explore the paved Fred Meijer White Pine Trail that goes from Cadillac to Grand Rapids. It has a VHS player, smart tv, and WIFI. There is disc golf and woods to roam. This cabin does have a floor A/C unit. If you come with with your furry friend I just ask that they don't bark and you clean up after them. This is Gray's Riverside Camp with firewood that is close to your cabin. This cabin is the old boy's dorm of the Central Michigan Evangelistic Association Campground. It has been remodeled for families to come and enjoy the large piece of property along the Muskegon River and the White Pine Trail. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, shower, and 3 bedrooms that sleep 6 people comfortably. The bedrooms do have sliding doors that are a bit loud at night. It could use a good paint job but with me allowing dogs it's hard to keep up. This is nowhere near perfect condition, but it is super cute. If you would like to use our kayaks or bikes just let me know prior to your stay so I can make sure they are available to you. I can take you upstream and you can float down to the campground. The price would be $25 each. I have 5 kayaks. Camping is $30 a night with water and electric hookup. There is lots of wildlife mainly turkeys and deer. I am confident you will enjoy your stay when you come. There is also another cabin that is available called Cabin 2. It is on VRBO also.
