El Cid Granada Hotel & Country Club

Buena ubicación, solo que no está a pie de playa. Lo que no me gusto fue que pague mediante la aplicación y según ya estaba pagado todo, y llegando al hotel me dijeron que tenía que pagar 500 más

Muy buen lugar. Regresaremos.

We had two rooms with a single exterior entry way to both, while each room had its own keyed access. The rooms were clean and well equipped; the kitchenette had everything we needed. The pool here is warm and well maintained, and is mostly quiet. I didn't get the names of everyone that was noteworthy in regards to service by the pool, but I was at the pool every morning by about 7:30, and I often chatted with the pool concierge and staff that did such a great job of making everything ready for the day. The Patio restaurant is a good place to eat, and Julian begins servicing the pool area at noon. He is very energetic and the bar makes the best Mango Margarita around! I put a paper coaster on my pool-side table with 'LZ' written on it, then explained to Julian that when it is displayed, the LZ if ready for landing another Mango Margarita. lol Julian went along with it and I never needed to ask. All of the staff at El Patio Restaurant are very nice, and caring. I met and spoke with Laticia Areano, the Capitana there, to tell her how wonderful the staff really are. Inside the hotel and during check-in, Eduardo, Rigoberto, Anthony, and Ricardo are very helpful and fun to interact with. I enjoyed conversing with them and found them to be very helpful with anything we needed. This hotel is a bit quieter than the resort across the street, has a very beautiful golf course (I don't personally golf) which makes a great place for a morning walk or jog. There is also an Olympic size swimming pool near the golf course, a spa, and an indoor gym if you are interested. I will definitely go back to this hotel. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the beach noises, yet close enough to walk to the beach in just a couple of minutes, then this is a great place to stay. If you golf, or really enjoy a less crowded, warm pool, this is where you'll find it.

This is our third visit to this hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious albeit somewhat dated. The use of the two sister hotels is definitely a bonus. Food at the a la cartes is good with the Argentinian being the best followed by the Italian and Mexican restaurants. For breakfast the El Patio restaurant is perfect. Letecia and her staff do a great job of taking care of your needs and have fun while doing it. One sticking point is the $15/day fee charged at checkin. We were not informed of that until checkin. What is this fee for? Why is it not included in the price of the booking? This fee should be reviewed by the El Cid group and/or handled in a different manner. This may be a factor when considering future accommodations. I'd be interested in hearing from a hotel rep why this fee is in place.

The Granada was comfortable and clean but needed some updating. Our studio room was very nice with a large table which we used for playing cards. We didn’t use the kitchen and probably a good plan because it was poorly equipped. No kettle to boil water, only one terrible knife which was so dull it was hard to slice a lime. I did like the big fridge which we used to store large bottles of water. I think you should NOT be charging for coffee or bottled water. Also because we were all inclusive many hotels provide a stocked fridge ( with beer/ wine/sodas). Even a nice bottle of tequila as a welcome gift would nice. Many places do that. I felt the Granada was on the low end of the rating scale.

We have always enjoyed our stays. Great staff, 5 ala Carte restaurants, a number of buffets mean there are many choices for meals. This is an older hotel but is well maintained. The new Resort Fee may keep us from returning.
