I like taht the hotel has many restaurants and many things to choose from what to eat. I also like that on their beach aren't as many sellers as in other places. I like to go for a vacation on a beach not going shopping hats and all kinds of stuff. Hope to spend my next vacations in a riu hotel again.

Pool areas were very nice. But having
to stand in line at the pool bar got to be a pain. Pool area service was absent. Room was OK. Tub was way
too high and very slippery. Im in my 60's with a bad back and getting in and out of the tub was a struggle. Beach area was nice and clean. Weather was perfect - warm days and cool nights. Loud band at the beach made quiet time difficult or have sliding door open before 10pm. Restaurant staff worked very hard, but had a tough time keeping up with all the tables. Dinner time seating was a mess. My table was given to other guests on two separate ocassions
when I got up to get dessert. There was a lot of variety in the buffets, but after 3-4 days I got tired of the same food. Personally, I would not stay there for more than 3 days. In my 6 day stay, I was unable to reserve a table at any of the 3 themed restaurants. 7am reservations filled up quickly. Would I stay at the RIU Emerald Bay again? Probably not. I would like to try other resorts in the area.

Pedro our waiter from las tres Islas was wonderful very attentive and helpful another wonderful person was pancho from el cerro bar very funny and outgoing made our visit pleasant

We did not like that they did not provide the original reservation. Their response is that ******* overbooked and our selection was blocked and no longer available due to this and provided us 2 separate rooms which was not what we requested. We will not be staying in this hotel in mazatlan in the future or recommend to family and friends.

Bad property toilet stocked up , no toilet paper the shower head was broken fell on my foot and injured me

The only good thing was the beach out front. Was very pretty and also all the pools. Food was terrible

The overall experience was good. I feel like the bedrooms need a little bit more of remodeling specially in the bathroom, and maybe add more outlets or charging stations for your cell phone or tablets. The pool was good and the food was good.
