"Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The "toy train" runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day."

"Kumar Plaza è il miglior resort mai in tutta Matheran, situato in una posizione centrale vicino al mercato e altri punti importanti vicini a visitare. Il cibo al ristorante è uno dei migliori che abbia mai avuto in tutta la mia vita. Le opzioni di buffet per colazione, pranzo e cena sono in inganno e ogni giorno ci sono diversi menu selezionati. Questo è il luogo in cui sono stato almeno dieci volte nella mia vita, il personale è molto cortese, utile e molto gentile e cooperativo. Ci sono diverse attività che si verificano come canzone karoeke, DJ, magia e show di fuoco, casa, giochi, ecc che gli ospiti non si stancano mai durante il loro soggiorno. In realtà consiglierei tutti di venire a visitare Kumar Plaza una volta."
