Hunas Falls Hotel

Hotel is located at a very beutiful location. The road for arrival is mesmerizing. The garden is also well maintained. Staff is friendly and the service is good. Food selection at the buffet is good being a three star hotel. Few Improvements that is better if done, 1. Upon arrival even though it was mentioned as a king size bed for the suite room we got. We only received two single mattresses attached together. We requested to change it to get a better sleeping experience considering our back problems as well but we didnt get a response. 2. The bathroom amneties are not upto the standard. We had to call the house keeping to help us with switching from shower to the hand shower. It was either one that we could use considering the knob tightness and each time I had a shower I couldnt get hot water but luckily for once my husband had a hot water shower. When inquired they said keep the water open for sometime to get hot water. We did as told. I once kept it for more than 15 mins but I still didn’t get it. It is also a waste of water and time to keep the water open for so long to get hot water. 3 There were no tissues or facial serviettes available in the room 4. Only two 500 ml water bottles were provided free of charge for a one night stay. Medically speaking 500ml for 24 hours per person is not enough. Water bottle cost is around Rs. 90. I prefer you provide unlimited water for the guests and try to do the cost cutting from some other section or may be increase the rates of the stay and give water. 5. Restaurant staff is friendly and very good but they lack the skill of making food on time. Lunch was supposed to be started at 12.30. So we went to the restaurant at 12.30 but the staff was still cleaning the windows and the place was not of any welcoming ambience. Us including the other guests had to just sit and wait past 1 pm to get the appetizer. Initially not even water was served at 12.30. The hotel and the location is a truly beutiful place. If these small corrections can be done the stay could have been extra ordinary. Overall we had a good stay at the Hunas Fall Hotel.

Hunas Falls is perhaps most beautiful hotel in the Kandy region . Which has 30 rooms on 150 acres . The views around are just mesmerizing . Up on arrival the receptionist did a quick check since they had filled the guest registration card and i only had to just sign . I noticed the housekeeping and restaurant staff were humble and ever so willing go that extra mile to please their guests . A special mention to the restaurant staff as they did did a wonderful job attending to all guests , since the hotel was full Thank you

“Where time stands still” it is written near the main entrance to this hill paradise around 14-15 kilometres heavenwards from the hill station and former imperial capital of Kandy. Perhaps time stands still in salutation to this natural enclave that cradles this long standing hotel. First as a teenager towing my parents, then with extended family and friends, as a newly wed on our honeymoon and now with my own kids, escaping to Hunas Falls hotel has become a ritual. And this time was no different, we’re spellbound, I for the twentieth time, nature never grows stale. I read some reviews that the hotel looks slightly dated. Hmmm…interesting, perhaps this is my key attraction, not a gripe. I like things the way they are. Yes, perhaps a bit of a paint and nothing else. My Father with severely compromised mobility was with us with my mother, my wife and our kids. My kids are obsessed with the place as well, perhaps it’s in the blood or just that nature nurtures those who crave for it. My heartfelt gratitude to those who’ve known us over the years and still there, Wasantha, Janaka and Gunasekera. They are like an extended family and they still treat us like such. And my heartfelt gratitude to the waiters who carried my father on a wheelchair up the stairs and back, with smiles. The rooms are impeccable and has everything you need, the WiFi and cable tv are top notch. The food was sumptuous. The new Manager Mr. Mushtaque greets us with warmth and a personal handshake. The new addition to the executive staff Maudushika blended in with good vibes and a warm heart. Nostalgia burns deep and relentlessly. A minor observation is perhaps the sore need of the hour to fill in the gaping pot holes and cracks on the road over the last few meters to the main entrance. Who knows, perhaps it keeps off those who aren’t committed nature lovers. To the management and owners of HFH, perhaps improving what you have may be all that you need, nature will look after the rest. I cannot wait for my twenty first visit.

On a vacation from Bahrain, and our fourth time spent at our trusted hotel; Always money and time well spent in the hands of the hospitable Ms. Madushika and Mr.Mushtaq. The kids and family loved it and the food and accommodations were amazing 🤍

We went for a day outing with the family. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The package consisted of a welcome drink, buffet and afternoon tea with access to hotel pool and play area. The hotel ia in a nature filled location in the hill country, with panoramic views of Hunas mountains and waterfalls. We highly recommend this playa for anyone who is viaiting Sri Lanka.
