Bamboo Banks Farm & Guest House

This was the fifth visit of my family to Bamboo Banks and to say that that we had a blast would be an understatement!! They also happen to be celebrating their 50th year and we as a family have been visiting since 2014 and each time we have come with friends and family it’s always been an outstanding experience. This time I visited with my parents, wife and children for a holiday. The food spread is amazing and caters to all pallets both vegetarian and non vegetarian. We were there for a week and each day was a food extravaganza ….. The children had a blast in nature exploring the property, riding the horse, observing the myriad forms of nature present be it the flaura and fauna. There was adventure too with us driving around the property in the 4x4, cycling around the property and its many trails, admiring the view from the tree house and more. We also visited the wildlife sanctuary for guided tours, the elephant camp and driving up to Ooty. However the best part was enjoying the property and relaxing in the lap of nature. The staff as always were caring, kind and took personal interest in all our comforts be it at the breakfast table, setting up a nice evening of dinner with soup or taking care of the safety of the elderly and children with extra special care. It’s heartwarming and nice to see when something you experienced not only gets better with time and keeps up the service and experience levels of warmth love and care.

Our time at Bamboo Banks was a once in a lifetime experience that we would recommend to any and all of our friends and family visiting the area. The number one thing that made our visit so wonderful was the hospitality shown and care taken from each and every staff member. The sprawling property is in the middle of a forest reserve and is surrounded by the beauty of horses, trees, ducks, flowers, and birds. The cottages are very clean, well kept and spacious. Each and every meal has an expansive selection with warm and fresh fulkas, dosas and/or omelettes upon request. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner is included and each meal is home cooked, fresh and delicious. The property has a pool, an activities room, horse riding, a tree house and much more. Thank you to the owners and staff at Bamboo Banks for such a memorable, once in a lifetime experience!

Good place to stay enjoy every moment my kids enjoyed well. Environment is good swimming pool was good safari was good, customer service was good especially Rafiq. Room was clean and neat. Recommend you to stay peaceful stay.kids enjoyed lot

This property is stunning, and the staff is exceptional. They epitomize the principle of keeping things simple and doing them well. Despite its spacious layout, the property is impeccably maintained and offers a variety of activities. I must give a special shoutout to Rafique. The staff is incredibly caring, ensuring that our toddler was well taken care of in terms of both activities and food. The food is another highlight of this place. A must-have experience!

This rural guest house ticked all the boxes for a natural retreat adjacent to a tiger preserve. I stayed two nights a one-bedroom cottage that was comfortable (and air conditoned) with a wonderful porch for watching birds and the animals on the farm, including beautiful spotted deer. The food was well prepared and delicious and the staff was attentive and helpful. The grounds are extensive and natural with a tower for wildlife observation. would recommend this location for anyone visiting the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.

Arrived through Kalathy Downhill in my MG ZSEV which was freewheeling downhill. Check in was simple and this is the first time we are here. Place was dry, should have been beautifully green if rains were around. We got a very spacious and clean Safari style room with a good sit out and opposite the little pond in their premises. I have been to many resorts in Africa, but this was similar where wildlife are free to come into the campus and go, so guests should respect their freedom and coexistence. Guests who do not value peaceful and undisturbed coexistence should not stay here and spoil the faith of the animals that come here. Food is simple but great taste and good quantity. A very quiet forest smell and sound enriched experience indeed.

Our 2 night stay at the Bamboo Banks farm guest house was too short. Apart from human guests the farm was also home to monkeys playing in the grounds or otherwise occupying the verandah of our cottage. Jumping on the roof in the middle of the night was also one of their pranks. A stray elephant in the night left its mark by pulling up a tree in the grounds. The surrounding grounds is also home to several bird species, among which the elusive blue bearded bee eater and jungle owlets. A guided walk around the grounds is possible. There is also a refreshing clean swimming pool. The guest house is a very welcoming place. Don’t expect luxury but the friendly staff and the best food we had during our trip to India made it a fantastic place to stay.

I have been visiting Bamboo Banks ever since I was a child. Every visit has always left us with the most happy memories. Hosts are extremely hospitable, the most surreal ambience and leaves you wanting to return once again. Do visit BB, either ask for a Jeep Drive to be organised by the mgmt or drive yourself around. Food is absolutely delish. The pool has an amazing charm with deer popping their heads to see who's jumping into the water.

We stayed just for one night.But I t was an amazing exp.The resort is in 40 acres with most of it jungle. The owner Mr Kotawala and his Sister did everything to make our exp memorable. Staff is very helpful, courteous and prompt. The gypsy ride of property itself was fantastic. They have horse in their resort, which they gave ride for my daughter's. Cottages are amazing fully equiped, spacious top of line. Food excellent. You will find wild life in resort itself.Atleast 30 deers spending their night in front our of cottage. Also experienced Elephant moving around in night. Spend at least 2nights. A must visit for all.
