We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. It is nice and clean. Highly recommended in sherbrone.
Only down side poor network reception in the area.

Had a wonderful room overlooking the garden. We could watch the various birds as they flew in and landed on the balcony as well as their antics. A peaceful restful room and hotel. Service was good and we were well looked after. Stayed a few times before and always enjoy going back.

The hotel is in a lovely peaceful spot, and was clean and well maintained, and the staff were lovely. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of some of the poorly thought out bits concerning the room layout. My husband had a word with the manager about that and I won’t waste my time listing them here, but they just need to think a bit more about how people cope in the spaces that they create. I do highly recommend this as a place to stay.

A wonderful long weekend. We are a car club and 40 of us stayed at the Grange (our third visit over the years) and it was just as good as always. John and the team are very helpful and do a great job. The food is excellent and plenty of it. There’s also a good range of beers and ciders. The hotel itself is a lovely old building that has been refurbished since our last visit. The weather even joined in and was warm enough to sit in the garden. What would I change ? Nothing. We’ve already booked for 2026 :)

Lovely friendly hotel remotely sited in a rural setting, nice clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, wonderful choices for breakfast. The hotel building has character and is a tad quirky with its internal layout giving it a charm of its own!

Great hotel in a secluded peaceful location, very friendly and professional staff Who are an great asset to the hotel owners. Bedroom very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked , had dinner in their restaurant which was superb all round. Would definitely stay there again

An excellent stay. We benefited from an upgrade of our room and the four-poster bed, sitting area and bathroom were much appreciated. The food was outstanding, the service just as good. We enjoyed our trip to Sherborne.

Oh my goodness, what a genuine treasure to find. Small and intimate, the team here cannot be more consistently considerate to awkward guests! Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The rooms have had deep and tasteful thought to their decor with adorable funny, interesting touches. The delightful grounds are immaculate despite the vagaries of this year’s weather; herbs being grown in their own raised beds. Perhaps we should have kept this gem to ourselves but you will not be disappointed. The owners have every right to be proud of their wonderful crew. The hospitality industry needs as much help as possible and it would be criminal if such wonderful finds as this were lost.

We love staying at The Grange Hotel and return year after year. This family run small hotel has a wonderful group of staff who are very accommodating, the food is fantastic and the chef deserves 5 michelin stars! Thanks to all for always making our stay so special.
