Relais Santa Maria

My wife and I spent three very happy and comfortable nights here. In a lifetime of world travel I have found very few inn keepers as sincerely and proactively helpful, welcoming, good humored and caring as Francesco and Sara. From the moment we first met them out on the street where they showed us our free parking until the last morning when they escorted us back to our car, all our needs were cheerfully and graciously met. The charmingly decorated and very comfortable room shows their aesthetic talents, the restaurant bookings were excellent, and they delivered exactly what we wanted for breakfast early each morning so we could enjoy full days in the very special region. Francesco helped me locate and map out a quiet country lane for a beautiful long walk out and back among the trulli to amazing Locorotondo. Bravo Francesco and Sara! We would love to come back and enjoy your hospitality again.

We got no real sense of how big or small RSM is...we rang the hotel when we reached somewhere near the centre of Martina Franca. They drove out to meet us, and guided us to a parking spot just outside the Centro Storico (which is completely pedestrianised). We then followed them and our luggage for 5 minutes through a maze of streets until we reached our room. I hasten to add, all of this was explained to us before we arrived! The individual rooms are scattered over several buildings, so I have no idea where (or even if!) there is an actual hotel building, or whether this is a 'virtual' hotel. All we ever saw was our room - which was very nice and homely (in a slightly 'kitsch' way), and less than a minute away from the main drag. Staff took our breakfast order each day, and it was delivered to our door each morning. We were offered plenty of choice (including gorgeous fresh croissants with pistacchio or chocolate cream), and the quantities were definitely generous (to the extent that on the first morning we weren't sure whether the food they delivered was meant to last us all 3 days - it wasn't!). The room included a fridge, and a coffee machine, with a plentiful supply of coffee pods.

We did expect a hotel but this was a small delightful room with an ensuite and all the facilities you could wish for. You need to get guidance on parking and they really are superbly helpful with everything. Breakfast is novel and brought to the room. If you can go on a Sunday for the promenade in the city, just fabulously located. Just don't anticipate a hotel so if you want drinks i the room I would take your own. The square is near though

Super bien ubicado pero por sobre todas las cosas con la excelente atención de sus propietarios, Francesco y Sara, cuya disponibilidad y calidez es destacable. Nos vinieron a buscar a la estación, nos recibieron con un espumante!!! El desayuno siempre puntual, con amplia elección y generosidad en las porciones. La habitación hermosa y con la decoración propia del lugar. Excelentes amenities. Qué más decir? Que fue inolvidable y es super recomendable!!!

Visitamos este B&B dos parejas y nos ubicaron en dos preciosas habitaciones con acceso directo a una pequeña calle del centro histórico. La pareja de propietarios te reciben fuera del centro para conducirte sl B&B . En la habitación fuimos obsequiados con una botella de espumanti, además de frutas frescas , cafés y tés. Para el desayuno, a la hora acordada , aparecieron con cesta con : croissans, huevos , pan recién horneado con embutidos y quesos de la zona además de zumo de naranja recién exprimido ….. Un lujo de desayuno . La decoración de las habitaciones y los baños : preciosa.
