Hotel Belle-Vue Vieux-Port

The hotel smells bad, the rooms are very small; they are lairs liars , the checked me with the ac not working mid July . They did not fix it and they pretend they don’t know . We stayed in the mid July without ac . I don’t recommend it .

Hôtel bien placé avec vue sur le port mais mal insonorisé, on entend les bruits de la rue, des voisins de chambre et des canalisations,bon petit déjeuner classique à 13€.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This was a stopover from a cruise to a flight home& as such I had a lot of baggage. The first floor checkin has been mentioned before but the staff were exceptionally helpful in getting my bags to/ from my room. Rooms very clean & modern design with a view that can’t be beat over the old harbour. Double glazing cut out all noise from a busy area on a Saturday night. Air conditioning controlled by reception staff so ask if too warm/cold.

Bon séjour à l’hôtel jusqu’à ce qu’on me dérobe des effets personnels au sein même de ma chambre , on ne me crois pas et me dit tout de suite que les femmes qui font les chambres sont en totale confiance . J’ai bien la preuve que mes effets ont été dérobés au sein même de ma chambre. Plainte à la police déposée et comme par hasard patronne des lieux en vacances . Faites très attention à ne rien laisser et mettez tout en coffre. Tout simplement honteux .

If I could give Zero Stars I would. Please don't even consider staying here. I arrived in M****ille Vieux Port approximately 8:30 am, May 17. Arriving that early was the only option due to my unforeseen transportation constraints. I carted my luggage up the flight of stairs to the reception desk of Hotel Bellevue to announce my arrival, acknowledging that I was certainly too early to check in. They had me just leave my bags next to the desk and told me I could not check in until 3:30. So I used the toilettes (which were rather sketchy) and went for a walk. A few hours later I checked with the desk and used the sketchy toilettes again. I was glad to see my bags were presumably safely stored somewhere. Every staff in the reception area and bar/restaurant that I encountered the entire day were unfriendly, unhelpful, condescending, and arrogant. Nobody acknowledged my presence. When I inquired about my room and bags I was given the same terse refrain, “your room will be ready at 3:30.” Not even “your room will be ready at 3:30, madam.” I walked to find a more appetizing place to have a meal. Then walked some more. There is no lobby, no lounge, no respite at the Hotel Bellevue. If you want to sit you have to go into the bar and buy something. I returned at approximately 1 pm. Because the receptionist did not acknowledge me as I passed by and he had seen me numerous times throughout the day I assumed my room was not ready. (In fact, he made a point of looking down as though he were busy with something.) I could not stand the thought of another condescending response of “your room will be ready at 3:30.” I bought a pastis in the bar and rested awhile. When I left I asked if I could charge it to my room. “Non.” So I asked again if my room was ready. “Your room will be ready at 3:30.” Went for another walk. Came back to the bar around 2:30. “Your room will be ready at 3:30.” So I had a glass of rose. When I asked for water I was given a small glass of tepid water when all other patrons were given a carafe of chilled water as soon as they sat down. I had been walking all day in the heat and was visibly sweating. I paid for my wine at 3:30 and asked the barman, who had been the receptionist when I first arrived, if he knew if my room was ready. He looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head and said he had no idea. My room was ready. Who knows how long it had been ready. Why couldn’t someone fetch me from around the corner in the bar or text me to tell me my room was ready?! For all I knew it may have been ready since noon! I was put on the fifth floor. The elevator only goes to the 4th floor. At least I didn’t have to cart my bags up another flight of narrow stairs because they had put my bags in my room. It was the attic. I had specifically reserved a more expensive room with a side view because I did not want to be in a cramped attic room for three days. It was hot. It was the attic. It was tiny.
