Spotlessly clean room and a very good breakfast. First impressions of the pub are not great I’m afraid . It’s a drinkers pubs and the beautiful flowers etc outside on the main picture no longer exist. Having said that, we had a very comfortable stay and the lady who made breakfast was charming and a very good cook!! The staff were helpful & friendly . It’s a pub not a boutique hotel so don’t stay here if you are wanting posh bits and bobs !

Unbelievably loud, dirty and definitely not family friendly!! We turned up around 5pm, the pub was rammed with after work drinkers. The volume only got louder all night! Screaming outside our bedroom window until around 12 midnight.... the bathroom was filthy, the carpets were rank. We stayed for breakfast as were starving, but the dining room stank of stale alcohol and the breakfast was greasy, with dirty cups. We didn't have any mugs in our room and there was thick dust on every surface 😔. I'm aware it was a pub and therefore not totally silent! But this noise was on another level, especially as the family room was directly surrounded by the pub garden and front entrance!

We met today with friends , pub was nothing like photographs on web site, it was cold and dirty. We waited up to 2 hours for our main course. Food was good ,thankfully, but served up on freezing cold plates, We had to sit with coats and scarves on to keep warm. Very disappointing, web site needs to be updated, to give a true representation of the pub.

This is a decent regular pub with good value rooms near the centre of Marlborough but not on teh main road, so nice and quiet. Easy to park in Marlborough High Street or free for two hours in square just beyond pub. Good beer. Friendly staff.

Stayed here for one night and was very happy. The room was comfortable and spotless. The staff were genuinely warm and hospitable, from the ladies behind the bar to the lovely breakfast lady. Breakfast itself was really good and filling. The pub is clearly popular with locals whilst feeling welcoming to guests. The only slight issue was that parking was problematical but that is not the establishment's fault. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Called on the way home from Salisbury for Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed The food was fantastic and really good portions We all went on our way full and satisfied The collyfloeur cheese was delicious All for £15 a head We will be eating here again

Lovely staff Fantastic full English breakfast , so friendly and accommodating the room was very clean and comfortable . Unfortunately my partner wasn’t in the best of health and when he couldn’t eat much the breakfast lady made him a lovely boiled egg and soldier’s ❤️ Thank you xx

We booked on *********** it’s a lovely quaint pub. We had the twin room overlooking the courtyard. We had a great nights sleep the duvet and pillows are the cosiest ever they need to let Lenny Henry know where to buy some! Breakfast was lovely. Thank you we will be back.

Very old, quaint coaching inn. Does what it says on the tin! Pleasant, clean accommodation (we stayed in main building). Beds suuuuper comfy & rooms snug & warm. Beds made every day & tea & coffee etc replenished. Landlord & landlady & staff very friendly. Lovely full English Breakfast + toast & marmalade, orange juice & tea/coffee was great. Pub incredibly busy & can be bit noisy at night, but hey..people enjoying themselves! Parking a bit random on street where you can fit in. Didn’t eat evening/lunch here, so can’t comment. Lots of nearby local eateries (everywhere really busy, so you did need to book). Avebury nearby is awesome. Well worth seeing.
