Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Marietta

A last minute trip to Marietta found me looking for a hotel and the reviews in ******* said “this is the place!” Booked it online (last room available), check-in was fast, room perfectly fine, and half the price of others. Only question was why does Wyndham have 3 hotels at the same interstate intersection?

Front desk staff missing or rude I had to wait 12 minutes for the front desk person to show up to check me in. This was around 7 PM, not in the middle of the night. When she did finally appear she seemed bothered by my presence and didn't make me feel like a guest. Then she was missing from her post the rest of the night. We needed services but she was no where to be found. We called out to no avail. Perhaps a little bell or button to push to alert her of guests presence would help. The next day we had a problem with our toilet and when I told the new front desk person she asked me, "So, what do you want me to do about it?" Snarky tone, not how can I help tone. I asked her to let maintenance know and she looked at me like I was crazy. She told me they don't work on the weekend. I thought most of a hotel's business was on the weekend. They need to hire competent staff. Otherwise the stay was uneventful. Tiny rooms, but is a "Micro"-tel. The rooms were made to appear larger by an entire wall of mirrors. Not what I want to see when I first wake up. :-) It was clean and the elevator was fast. We didn't try the free breakfast because there is a Bob Evans right next door. It was nice to have the window seat available to set up our our suitcases on. There is a mini fridge in the room which is nice touch as well. Would stay there again if it wasn't for the staff.

Stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years. Always clean and quiet. Recommend Panera, Starbucks, The Galley and Gran Rey for good dining options. Great prices,

Check in was quick, the rooms were spacious and clean. Our one suggestion is to take your own pillows. Theirs were awful! Couch pillows. Everything else was very nice.

Nice enough, but would be nice to have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pumps in the shower, as well as a shower cap. Pillows uncomfortable and sheets scratchy. I know the hotel has went eco, which is fine, but prices should be lowered due to this.

It was clean, quiet and there was a decent selection at breakfast. The hotel is beginning to show some signs of wear. The staff were very friendly and were accommodating when I asked for the quietest room possible due to being a light sleeper.
