Did a solo trip to Kenya and chose Ilora Retreats for the Masai Mara, stayed for 3 nights, and it turned out to be the best decision. The place is peaceful, the staff is super warm, and everything just flows smoothly. I had my own space when I wanted it, but also great company around when I felt like chatting. Safaris were well organised, and I always felt safe and taken care of. Would happily return!

Great location and the tents are quite large and spacious. The food is excellent - great quality and taste fresh. We had a few power outages while we were there (most of them lasted no more than 15 minutes). Restaurant service can take a bit of time, but that is a minor thing. There is hot water for showers, but you have to manage it a bit with a family of 4 so you don't run out.

We had a wonderful stay at Ilora Retreats! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality - it really set the tone for a memorable trip. The staff were incredibly attentive, always checking in on our food preferences and comfort. Harison made sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best experience possible. The property is beautiful - eco-friendly, peaceful, and very well maintained. Our tent was cozy and had everything we needed. We especially loved the skydeck, where we enjoyed bonfire under the stars. The nearby hippo pool and the relaxing Bahati Lounge added even more charm to the experience. A big shoutout to Chef Stephen, who thoughtfully planned our meals each day and made sure everything was tailored to our dietary needs. Special thanks to Ahmed from Ilora Retreat/Wild Voyager team, who worked closely with us to accommodate all our requirements and crafted the best possible itinerary. He and Deepak ensured everything was seamless and were always just a message away. Perfect for anyone looking for a mix of adventure, comfort, and personal touches. Highly recommend!

It is an amazing and new property with the most accommodating staff. The chef makes food according to your liking and the tents are luxurious and have great amenities. The property is located in the heart of the reserve and very close to animals with sighting inside the property as well.

It was a great experience staying in Elora. It is in the center of the game reserve. Harrison was a great host. The staff is very courteous and great hospitality. They took care of all our food request. Our driver Nelson knew all places for sightings. Highly recommend this retreat.

I had a 8 day trip to Kenya. Stayed at lake nakuru resort, lake naivasha and illora retreat in masai mara. The trip was packed with close encounters with all big 5 and many more wild animals. Illora retreat not only offers luxury stay but also relaxing spa to shove off stress. The 4 course packed breakfast in the middle of wilderness was pleasant surprise. They offered lunch and dinner of our choice. Every meal was customized for our taste. My family requested all kind of Indian food (from Rajma to Gobi munchoorian to Parathas). The best part of staying at illora retreat is to avoid 1 hour drive in and out of masai mara national reserve every day and get extra time for evening game drive. Alankar organized Bush Dinner and a fun evening to watch night sky/star. The hospitality at the retreat was beyond our expectations. I'm already looking forward to our next trip there.

Amazing people and amazing experience. The staff was really good and the food was great too. The rooms, comfortable and nice plus the wild animals roaming outside at night was the cherry on top.

From the moment we arrived at Ilora Retreats, the experience was truly magical. The property is stunning, but what made it truly exceptional was the warmth and hospitality of the entire team. Special thanks to Anas Ahmed (who was exceptional), Harrison, Ben, Paul, Dennis, Sharon, and everyone else whose names we may have missed, each of you went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, safe, and completely taken care of. Your attention to detail made this trip unforgettable. Ilora isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience filled with heart, warmth, and soul. We’re leaving with the most beautiful memories and deep gratitude. Highly, highly recommended.
