Tulemar Resort

The stay was flawless. Our unit and resort grounds are perfectly maintained. The staff is well trained and both friendly and courteous. Our concierge, Miguel, was incredibly helpful in arranging rides and all our reservations. This resort would stand out in any country as 4-5 star.

Tulemar was a wonderful accomadation for our family. We stayed in Belleza Verde, which was a brand new property, and it could not have been more beautiful. Raul, our concierge, was always very helpful in solving any issues and creating our itinerary. Also, Tulecafe had the best food we tasted in Manuel Antonio. The only improvements I could hope for are the amenities to the property in general. The family pool and the pool at the café could be a bit nicer and perhaps heated.

If you’re looking for an amazing, family friendly resort in Manuel Antonio, look no further! From breathtaking views to an abundance of wildlife on property, amazing pools to luxurious beds/bedding to concierges who are available to assist with planning excursions and ensuring your stay in the most relaxing experience ever! At Tulemar, we saw more sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and macaws on property than anywhere else during our 2-week vacation with various stops in Costa Rica! However, to see the most wildlife get up early. The views are breathtaking! I would recommend using the shuttle to the beach, as the hills down are really steep. The beach has free sand toys, boogie boards, etc. for the kids. Orlando, our concierge, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had all our excursions set up. I’d give this place 10 stars!!!

Everything was perfect ! The customer service was top notch !!! We saw so many animals, got lucky with some amazing weather and enjoyed it all from the patio of our villa ! Our concierge Laura was so helpful and got us around the city for some wonderful meals with zero issues . Thank you Tulemar for an amazing family vacation!

We have just returned from an idyllic five days at Tulemar. The resort is exquisitely presented and the villas make full use of the amazing views. We stayed in a bungalow and a villa and were blown away by the level of detail, they were both fantastic. We experienced so much wildlife at the complex from different monkeys, hanging sloths and even boa constrictors. The beach and waves were great fun for the teens and we spent many days enjoying them. There are also many excursions which the concierge can book for you. Our favourite was the horse riding trip. Our concierge Chris was super friendly and helpful and always on hand when needed. We will absolutely be recommending Tulemar to family and friends as it really is a magical place.

We picked this resort because we had heard really great things about it. I'd love to give it a 5, but there were a couple of issues during our stay. Firts of all, I feel like the website describing the Casa de La Flores was misleading. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and they use the word enclosed staircase to connect the two levels. This is not true. My kids' bedroom downstairs was connected by a stairwell to a door to our room, but the stairs could be reached by anyone walking by (more on that later). The only way to lock the door was from the outside. So they had to have a key to get out or we had to have a key to get in. Then when they walked up the steps, there was another door that locked. But none of the keys provided to us worked for them to unlock. My husband ended up staying downstairs in the 2 double beds with 1 kid and I stayed upstairs with the 2 others so we could lock all the doors. Upon arrival, we dropped our stuff off in the room and everyone but me went for a walk. I was upstairs the entire time. When they got back, my daughter's phone was missing from her bed downstairs. We looked everywhere, thinking she must have put it someone else in the casa. We didnt find it and all location services on her phone were showing not connected to internet, which I know she had already done when we arrived. I let the front desk know that her phone was missing and perhaps stolen. The assured me something like this has NEVER happened. They also do not have security cameras for the guest houses/villas. We went to be the first night really nervous about the entire situation. We think someone slipped in the room downstairs while I was upstairs and took the phone off the bed. The next day our suspensions were confirmed when there were unauthorized charges put on her phone. The front desk kept saying they were working on it, but really was never able to give us any idea as to what could have happened. They were kind enough to upgrade our room for the last two night to a casa with only 1 entrance. I felt much better being in that space. The food was delicious. The staff was incredible. The constant construction within the resort was less than relaxing.
