This hotel is rather old but upgrading of rooms in progress. I have stayed in this hotel several times due to the services given the staffs. They are helpful and friendly, will take action immediately to complain that are not right with facilities. The breakfast was very limited during this festive month as compared to previously was ok.
TV reception is poor, need to improve much more.
Special commendations should be given to a FO staff Mr Izzat who is extremely helpful, proactive, polite and professional in dealing with customers. He can even remember my name the moment I entered the hotel lobby after some time from my last visit.
Another plus point I like is the gated hotel carpark which I don’t find them around Manjung or Sitiawan, so I find it very safe to park my car for a good night sleep.

A beautiful hotel with lovely view, in dire need for a refurbishment. Double room on second floor was spacious & had a lovely sea & pool view. Beach was clean with soothing sea waves & calm sea. Bathroom sink needed to be unclogged upon check-in. Toilet flush has to be held down until all waste has been ”sucked” in. No toiletries holder in shower area besides the built-in space for bar soap. Pretty inconvenient as there was no space to place face wash, shampoo bottle, bath gel bottle. Shower screen is old and unsightly. Aircond is noisy. Cabinet door covering mini refrigerator squeaks upon opening and closing. Instant coffee sachet provided did not taste like coffee. Hotel is very near to 7-11, Speedmart99, many dry seafood produce retail shops, jetty & few eateries. Laundry bag & bedroom slippers provided. No hair dryer & iron in room. Need to request. Had very good Americano coffee, doughnut & nasi lemak at 989 Cafe near the jetty. Warm hospitality & cosy cafe. Definitely worth a second visit, if hotel is refurbished.

Buona posizione - nella zona urbana n faccia il mare. Fantastico vento marino! Jetty è vicino. Amichevole personale di fronte ufficio. Camera di base ma molto pulita con un letto confortevole. Ha un distributore d'acqua fuori dalla stanza. Vale la pena rimanere qui. Sicuramente sarà tornato!

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds & pillows, white towels quite thick for a budget hotel, strong water pressure, reliable hot water, quiet surrounding, has a good drinking water machine where we can refill our tumblers. Has a clothes line in the bathroom. Room door uses sensor key. Can control room air cond temperature.
Cons: When someone in the next room showers, the noise of the water is very loud. Shower area not separated from toilet area so the floor gets wet but luckily the bathroom is large so there is still a small area that does not get wet. No lift. Only street parking where you have to pay. Security not good enough. Anyone can enter & go up to the rooms. The receptionist won't know unless they stand up as they sit behind a high counter.

Questo hotel è lontano da Lumut o Pantai Remis, se si vuole semplicemente sfuggire alla vita lavorativa e godere delle attività dell'hotel, allora questa è una buona scelta. This hotel is situated at one of the more strategic locations at Pangkor Island, i.e. along the popular Pasir Bogak beach on the west coast of Pangkor. It is a two-storey, low density hotel, whereby rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the swimming pool via their sliding glass doors. This was the first hotel I've stayed at since my childhood or teenage years, which still uses the conventional key drop system at the lobby (i.e. leave things inside your room at your own risk!). Nevertheless, the room that I got (i.e. the Super Deluxe Room, with 2 queen beds) was quite ok, and was able to fit my family comfortably. They also provide a generous allocation of both bath and pool towels in the room as well. The only issue we encountered was that the overhead shower in our bathroom was not working, therefore we could only use the hand shower. On a good weather day, the Pasir Bogak beach provides a beautiful sunset view, while during the morning, you can also enjoy the cool breeze as you enjoy your breakfast at their sea-fronting cafeteria. Although only a limited array of items are available for the breakfast, but they even have an action stall for eggs. At only 10 minutes' drive/ride from the jetty, this hotel is also within walking distance to multiple places of convenience, incl. eateries such as seafood as well as local street-fare, and even a duty-free outlet.

May I know is any of these vehicles belong to your hotel owner? (See pic 1).
As we been told by your Duty Manager, Jason that these parkings only reserved for the hotel owner/emergency use.
We first checked in the hotel on 30/8/24 (Booking No.:32783133097). At that time these parkings were all empty. So my husband & I tried to request to Jason at the reception. We wished to pay & park at there. Unfortunately your unfriendly Jason told us the rule though at that time all the available packing lots were fully occupied. So we forced to park on the passageway like other vehicles (see pic 2).
1 week later, we checked in the hotel again on 8/9/24 (Booking No.:1376730641). But this time we surprised to see this special parkings have been occupied by other hotel guests as per pic 1. Concierge said that these hotel guests had booked the parking 1 week before their arrival.
So I assumed the rule changed swiftly in one week or perhaps the guests parked there for emergency like Jason said before.
We then tried to park behind a white vehicle, see pic 2. But the security stopped us from doing so and further said they had informed the white car owner to remove his vehicle from there also.
Unfortunately we can still see this white vehicle at the same place on the next day after we checked out. Pic 2 is the solid proof.
Besides that, we were awaken by the noise of the luggage trolley passed by our room late at night around 1:30am! Can you imagine the noise when this thing runs on a concrete floor that without carpet?
All above were the reason why we decided not to extend our stay here but to continue our road trip to other good hotel.
We love the landscaping here, and we were regular when it was still under Swiss Garden group. And now the hotel furnishing has upgraded, but management quality still couldn’t keep up.
In a nutshell , Doubletree Damai Laut is overpriced & is unable to offer the 5-star hospitality experience by Hilton.

UUtente ospiteMy husband and I chose to have our honeymoon at Pangkor Laut Resort two days after our wedding, and it was the best trip of our lives so far. We had a good first impression of the resort even before we reached the resort. We had arranged in advance for land transfer from Ipoh airport to Marina Island Pangkor, and we thought to have the driver pick us up at 10am even though our flight landed at 8.30am (just in case we faced delays with our flight or at immigration) but we were surprised when he was already waiting for us when we landed at 8.30am. After a 1.5h road trip from the airport to the office, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and towel, and was then escorted to PLR on a speedboat with one other couple (which made us feel special, haha). Upon arrival at the resort, we were again welcomed with a little refreshment and had a staff attend to us immediately, helping us to plan our itinerary for the rest of the week that we were staying there. As we were still early and the rooms were not ready, we had lunch at the Feast Village and then rested in the library, which was very cosy with a good selection of books (only downside was there were so many house lizards, though I am not sure if anything could be done to prevent them from coming). Our room at the Garden Villa was wide and spacious, and we received a congratulatory drink from the resort to celebrate our wedding as well. (It was a nice gesture, but nothing could compare to the attentiveness of the different staff we met over the week, who, upon noticing the henna stains on our hands, congratulated us warmly in person). We also loved that the Garden Villa was so near to the Feast Village and Uncle Lim's Kitchen, which we kept going back to for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as the food options across the two kitchens were varied and more importantly, delicious. The service at the kitchens were also amazing - Chef Liza was so friendly and approachable that she made us feel at home, and Masum and Nadim went out of their way to make each dining experience feel special for us (such as seating us at places where we would have unobstructed views of the beach, and offering to take photos of us without us even thinking of it). Other experiences we had at the resort were going for the jungle walk, swimming at Emerald Bay and having lunch at Chapman's Bar, and yoga. However, our favourite activity on the resort was going for the spa experience. It was so refreshing and phenomenal, and truly, no other spa can beat PLR's spa. We were pampered from head to toe, and the different bath experiences set the spa apart from other spas out there. The staff were also so knowledgeable and generous with sharing what they know, that both my husband and I learnt so much about the natural ingredients used in our sessions. Definitely made the experience more meaningful and personal for us, and after a hectic wedding weekend, the spa made us feel well rested and rejuvenated. We also got a free room upgrad

UUtente ospiteWe have just completed a 6 night stay at this lovely hotel and can thoroughly recommend it. We were allocated room 62 which was everything we wanted, very spacious with a big bed and a strong warm shower. It also had a front facing balcony with a sea view. A big than you to the cleaner who serviced our room very well, it was always immaculately clean and smelled very nice. The breakfast choice was just right, a egg station was available for choice of eggs, there was also a noodle station and my favourite...Roti Canai. The staff in the dining room were quick to clear tables and all the food tasted nice, so thank you to the chefs and the staff. The reception staff were always available and very pleasant, it was also good to have a permanent security guard at the front of the hotel, he was always smiling and helpful, a very nice man. Thank you for your assistance with our luggage and helping us park our motor cycle etc. The hotel also has a very nice swimming pool and loungers, with towels available. So really it ticks all the boxes for a great stay and the nightly price rates are very reasonable. I can highly recommend this hotel.

In primo luogo personalmente non ho postato una grande aspettativa su questo resort perché il prezzo era relativamente basso. Ma per sorpresa ho trovato il mio soggiorno piacevole e soddisfacente.La villa Bayu era spaziosa e il letto era comodo. Tuttavia, devono riqualificare l'interno della stanza e offrire un'altra possibilità per garantire la pulizia della stanza prima di lasciare l'ospite check-in. Dal mio punto di vista personale, questo resort è per un ospite di classe inferiore o di classe media e se siete un tipo di ospite così chiamato e si aspetta un perfetto percorso, non prenotare questo resort. Ma se sei un tipo semplice e volevi solo godere della piscina e della spiaggia, sono molto consigliato questo ristorante. Ho passato la mia ultima notte a cena in caffè e mi sono davvero divertito i miei pasti, anche se era molto limitata scelta dal menu ala-carte. Ecco i miei commenti sulle cose per migliorare 1- Per favore migliorare la pulizia della piscina, c'era un sacco di sabbia di spiaggia all'interno della piscina. UUtente ospiteIl servizio alla reception era buono. Il servizio bagagli deve essere migliorato poiché al momento del check-in gli ospiti sono sicuri di avere molti bagagli. Al momento del check-in non c'era nessun segno del servizio bagagli. La doccia era molto scarsa perché quando si utilizza un bagno, l'altro bagno non ha acqua o quando l'acqua esce è molto lenta. Forse per migliorare questo l'hotel può prendere in considerazione l'installazione di scaldabagno con pompa incorporata per aumentare la pressione dell'acqua.
La colazione era ok.

FfathehahsuhaimiPovera Manutenzione del Virgo Teluk Batik Resort. La stanza è vecchia mentre è piena di polvere. Anche se hanno cambiato la mia stanza, è ancora sporca e non posso lamentarmi molto perché sono così stanco e sono abbastanza sicuro che ci vorrà più tempo per ripararla. Io e mio marito abbiamo deciso di passare da 419 a 104. Ambasciatori hanno una manutenzione molto polvere e scarsa. Lasciano anche una vecchia tubatura al bagno. (Credo che il manutentore abbia dimenticato di questo). Abbiamo anche difficoltà ad aprire la porta a causa della loro chiusura. Se possibile, posso scrivere tanti di lamentarsi sperando di aggiornare il loro hotel. Troppo male perché hanno una buona posizione (5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia di Teluk Batik), ma le strutture e la manutenzione di ristoranti sono scarse. Ascensore sporco, dal momento che nessun personale ha fermato l'ospite a cambiare il vestito (dopo aver giocato alla piscina/ spiaggia) prima di usare l'ascensore. Tuttavia, mi piace come Puan Normala si occupa dell'ospite e supera la situazione quando l'ospite non è soddisfatto della stanza. Devo presentare una denuncia al personale del servizio frontale (maschio) senza conoscere il suo nome, perché non ha un tag di nome, ma invece di ascoltare la mia denuncia, mi ha chiesto di aspettare un personale di custodia nella nostra stanza attuale. La seconda volta sono venuta al lobby e mi lamenta che ci stanno dando informazioni errate attraverso la loro unica piattaforma (camera con balcone) mentre la camera che ci stanno assegnando è senza balcone. Punta normale subito parlando con me e dicendo che mi ha sentito chiedere un cambio di stanza. Mi sorprendevo. E' un buon leader e ha una buona empatia e servizio clienti. 10/10 per il suo servizio.

A causa del mio check-in tardivo, ho chiesto al mio amico che si trovava vicino all'hotel di controllare la stanza prima. Come pratica normale, il mio amico ha messo un deposito per RM 50 sul conto. Per sorprendersi, il personale ha rilasciato un ricevimento del deposito e del tasso di camera per RM 84.15. C'è una differenza di RM 8.32. Per quanto mi riguarda, quando prenoteremo online, avremo un prezzo più basso che andare a piedi.
La pulizia della stanza non è in perfetta condizione, poiché le lastre e il pavimento sono sporchi. Mi dispiace commentare questo per assicurare che la gestione dell'hotel ha chiesto al personale di custodia di fare i loro lavori correttamente.

SSitiLa nostra camera è abbastanza spaziosa per 3 persone e un balcone. La stanza è pulita e pulita. Tutto è semplicemente conveniente per me.
Pro:
1. Si dispone di lavanderia, negozio di cibo (thai & sate stall a notte), 7E & e pochi negozi di dovere gratuito.
2. Molti posti di parcheggio sono anche per poter parcheggiare ovunque se noleggi auto o biciclette.
3. Hanno un distributore d'acqua nel lobby ( hanno muffole, tasca di caffè e tè) & livello 2. Forniscono anche una bottiglia di acqua minerale
Coni:
1.no Ascensore come necessario per portare le scale nella tua stanza. Quindi è piuttosto scomodo per gli anziani e le persone con disabilità fisica.
2. Durante il mio soggiorno, forniscono solo sapone e champagne, ma ho il mio, quindi non m'importa
3. La TV intelligente ha solo tre canali. Quindi, divertitevi se ne avete bisogno.

The staff at Pangkor Holiday resort are really lovely people who try incredibly hard to make your stay a pleasant one. We booked the honeymoon package and the staff maintained excellent communication in the lead up to our arrival. They also provided everything that they said that they would to the letter. The only drawback of the stay was that our chalet looked out over the pool which had a fair bit of screaming kids. Also the complimentary breakfast could have been a bit better but those are minor details. All in all the staff were excellent and really went all out to make our stay as wonderful as possible.
