Ali BEY Resort Sorgun

Just home from a wonderful 10 night stay at Ali Bey! We had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for us and really spacious. Our two daughters 11 & 14 had a twin room & separate bathroom & balcony. Our room was separate & we had a large bathroom with shower & jacuzzi bath. The rooms were immaculate & the air con worked well. There was slippers & robes, & Housekeeping worked round the clock stocking up fresh towels daily & making the beds; & the mini bar was always full of an array of branded bottled fizzy drinks & water, wine, lager, & snicker bars & nuts. When we arrived there was also a fruit plate & bottle of fizz in the room. The resort is beautifully kept, with gardeners working around the clock to maintain the plants & trees. The resort has nice shady paths all around it but nowhere is too far away, although the resort is a good size so you can remain active walking around from one place to another. There are lots of different areas spread out which means you can have a different vibe or different feel to your holiday each day! The resort is set amongst a wood, but is right on the coast too - the best of both worlds! Everywhere is clean & tidy, & staff really do go out of their way to be attentive. We tipped the waiters every day & night around the pool & at the bar (they work so hard!) and by the second day we didn't even need to order drinks - they knew everyone's drink of choice & even made extra special cocktails as well as mocktails for my youngest daughter. There are a number of pools to choose from, including an adults only pool which is very quiet - we preferred the pool overlooking the beach - despite going in peak season we could always get sun loungers at any time of the day, & at some points in the day we were the only ones in the pool! There was always things going on if you wanted to get involved but overall the resort had a very tranquil and relaxed feel about it. There was yoga, water aerobics, volleyball, water polo, football, darts, and even squid games to get involved in! There was also inflatables in the pool for the kids & on the lawn on a number of occasions. The waterpark had some great slides too and was nice to visit for an hour during the day. At all the bars there was a huge selection of drinks included well known brands & there was also a huge selection of ice lollies & icecreams available which were part of the all inclusive....too many too mention...the biggest selection we have ever experienced in Turkey! This was in addition to the icecream station & pattiserie offerings which had exquisite cakes & the most addictive sugared almonds! Food options were plentiful across the resort & there was lots of different food choices at all times of the day. The buffet restaurant is really big - I've never seen such a big selection and it was all beautiful. There is a sandwich bar & jacket potato & crepe station too...you will NOT go hungry! We stayed here aug-sep 24. We couldn't fault it! All the staff are so friendly and hard working. The whole place is kept so clean. Lots of room to spread out around the pools. Rooms very spacious. Kittens and cats around a lot which my kids loved. We were a little nervous about the fact we'd only have access to one buffet restaurant and feel quite restricted, but actually, there were so many options for food. The beach bar was great for breakfast and lunch. Also, the area where the patisserie has a sandwich bar, jacket potatoes, crepes and waffles each afternoon (with live entertainment on too!). And we had one a la carte per full week included which was a nice surprise. The Turkish a la carte was fabulous. Fine dining and a great experience for the kids, with all the food explained to them. The beach is gorgeous. You can walk down to Side old town from it. We got a taxi one evening and a bus back (as we couldn't figure out where to stand to catch the bus). Its beautiful. Great to see the old ruins. There's lots to do in the area with excursions available to book online. Also sooo many activities and sports with the hotel. The kids' clubs are so cool. Even the grumpy teen enjoyed hanging out in the teen room for a bit. My husband used the gym each day. It was 28 euros for 11 days. Large and modern with bottles of water and cool towels provided. We also kept our room on until we checked our at 6 pm, which was 70 euros. We really had no complaints here (which is rare as we usually find something to moan about!). Well the one complaint was just the awful antalya airport but not the hotels fault!

Amazing holiday one of the best resorts I have been before it is 5*+ food bars pools and rooms absolutely amazing everything clean also room service daily cleaning many thanks for great 12 days recommend for single couples and family all staff really friendly and looking after you 24/7

The Best Hotel I’ve stayed in ! Cannot fault anything, room beautiful, the whole resort is spotlessly clean. The staff friendly and helpful. Customer service is excellent, we contacted the hotel before we went to book a pavilion for my birthday and I asked if we could have two beds in our deluxe room due to my health issues, we where upgraded to a family suite which was fabulous. The food is excellent lots of choice, the bars offer good quality drinks. For my birthday they delivered me a lovely cake & bottle of fizz. The beach is lovely and the pools too. My only complaint…. I had to come home. Would recommend this hotel to anyone !

2nd time of going, the first time was brilliant. Well the 2nd time was even better. My sister came with me her first time. Alibey Resort Sorgun is the best resort l have ever been in. We had a private car to and from the airport. No going on a coach and have to go to loads of hotels before yours. The staff are exceptional nothing is any trouble for them, you want for nothing. Food is plentiful, there's always plenty to choose from..... Rooms are spacious, jacuzzi in the bath, mini bar fridge topped up daily, all in the all inclusive package. A great touch when we went into our room, a bowl of fruit and a bottle of prosecco The resort itself has 3 separate sections with pools, one an Adults pool. The weather in October is exceptional it never went lower than 27° the sea was so warm. If you are looking for a fantastic holiday then this is the one to choose

Very attentive staff, wide array of food and of course the weather was great, being all inclusive everything is included even the sun beds on the beach, however there were a couple of days we could not get a sun bed on the beach but there are other beds around various pools, extensive grounds so a lot of walking, would return and recommend.

Brilliant resort, luxurious hotel rooms, beautiful location, food is amazing. And the staff were incredible, couldn’t help enough, so friendly and welcoming. We had such an awesome holiday, Side is a lovely town and there is plenty to do and see, although there is no need to leave the resort as the facilities are great.

After cloudstrike problems cancelled our holiday we booked a very last minute replacement and luckily chose Ali Bey resort Sorgun. Initially we were not sure what to expect as there are 3 Ali Bey hotels in close proximity - the Ali Bey Sorgun definitely exceeded expectations. We stayed in Suite 941 which was beautiful - marble bathroom came with lots of complimentary toiletries including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in pump action dispensers. Air conditioning was very powerful and efficient, mini fridge restocked daily with nuts, chocolate, coke, fizzy water, beer, wine and Fanta. The room was very comfortable and all needs have been considered down to swimwear drying area and pegs on the small balcony. Leaning staff were efficient and unobtrusive - you have a light to let them know whether you wish them to disturb or not. We also chose to pay the 70 euro charge to keep the room until 6pm and were glad we did as it was great to have the cool room and lack of rush to checkout as we had a late flight. Having read other reviews I was worried about the drinks package being restrictive but we found no issues - all premium drinks were included in the AI package and measures were generous. The food was fantastic, so much choice and excellent service in the restaurant. My only criticism was some of the dining areas were so noisy as there were so many kids staying. There does need to be an area for adults and teenagers (13 upwards) to escape from the busyness if wanted. The hotel staff were really helpful though in helping us to find a quieter area the following night. Of special mention were the restaurant manager and a young wwaiter called Burak who gave incredible service throughout our stay. The profiteroles, seafood and choice of food really made our dining experience wonderful. The pools were fantastic - we were staying at peak times and always managed to find sunbeds somewhere on the resort, people do reserve them and not use them but there were always options. The adult pool was very relaxing and tranquil and well worth a visit. The beach was great with good drinks service via QR codes. Loved the bathing platform that you could swim out to also. The beaches are very well cared for and cleaned and swept every night. My criticism would be the aggressiveness of some of the guests during water polo - this isn’t unique to Ali Bey - my teenage son got quite badly scratched by an over competitive guest - always the same country fellows - just worth considering as it’s not very pleasant - a few fights almost ensued in a few games but the resort staff are aware and seem to manage the situation well. It would also be good to have the option of a non smoking area around the pools as it can be unpleasant. The evening entertainment seemed to be well considered and enjoyable but we were usually too exhausted after a day of sun and activity to partake. Room with glass bathroom and massage bathtub a hit Very diverse and delicious food. Service 10/10 . Cleaning 10/10 Attractions + evening events 11/10 . Sandy beach Melexes run throughout the entire complex - wherever you want they will take you there Overall, I rate the week of stay in September 2024 at 9 out of 10 - we will definitely visit there again.
