Cabot Lodge

Cabot is a top-line luxury lodge. What sets it aside from other lodges is that the owners themselves greet you and ensure your good care throughout your stay. The cuisine is first class, and the breakfast menu is a treat. The ambience is restful. The lodge is located on a farm with views over the countryside to Lake Manapouri. We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our trip around NZ mainly as a base for our boat trip to Doubtful Sound. We had an excellent stay and Brad and Breidi are friendly and welcoming hosts, starting from when Breidi met us with an umbrella when we arrived! Our room was great, very spacious with great views over the farm. They have a very good chef and the food was the best we had in NZ. We can also recommend the packed lunch they arranged for us for the boat trip

The owners, Breidi & Brad and their incredible team went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. I could not fault the quality of the lodge, the location and the sumptuous meals from local produce served each day. Thanks so much to you all.

We had a great stay at Cabot Lodge. The rooms were excellent, the bed was very comfortable (too comfortable, I did not want to get up!) and Breidi and Brad exceptional hosts. They were very helpful and informative with quite a bit of local information. The food was, as advertised, locally sourced and delicious.

Our stay at Cabot Lodge was a gift to my wife & I from my generous employer. We hadn't had time away from our kids for many years and what a way end that run!!!! This place is like a paradise island in the middle of a Lord of the Rings set. Everything from the warm welcome from Brad, being shown to our room (with the most epic views ever), the glass of bubbles & cheese board, the luxurious massage (not by Brad) to the canapes before dinner & chef prepared meal. This place is pure luxury. It was so nice & relaxing we decided to not even leave on our first full day!!! The outdoor spa bath with a view to die for, fabulous dinning, a warm chair in the library in front of an open fire and luxurious bedroom suites. Why would you want to go anywhere else? Brad & Briedi as hosts are the best. Chatting to Brad seemed more like a friend from the past than a new acquaintance. If you want to visit a truly beautiful part of the world and stay in the best accommodation ever then look no futher. I would love to go back some day.

We just spent 7 nights at Cabot Lodge for our Honeymoon. If you are considering staying at Cabot Lodge.... stop and just book in NOW. Brad and Briedi offer something very special to their guests' Their stunning property is hidden in the magnificent Fiordland, and you will not be disappointed. From the moment we arrived, greeted by Brad to entering our room (you won't believe the view) to the pre-dinner canapes and drinks followed by our evening chef prepared meal to return to retire for the evening to be greeted by a basket of surprises this lovely young couple think of everything. Nothing is too much trouble. Have a private spa, explore the farm, take a drive to any number of stunning destinations close by with a picnic lunch. Being locals Brad and Briedi know the area well and were only too happy to offer help planning out our days during a Honeymoon holiday we will not forget.  We highly recommend Cabot Lodge
