Futura Hotel

Design incantevole dell'hotel. Il personale, gli addetti alle pulizie, i cuochi, il barista erano tutti fantastici. La stanza era bella. Il bagno era orribilmente piccolo e schiacciato, non è un posto in cui vuoi nemmeno fare la doccia. L'aria condizionata era incredibile. La TV in camera non funzionava. Il buffet mattutino aveva molta varietà ma nessuno per i vegetariani. La zona piscina era bella e accogliente, con un bar e uno schermo tv. Ho parlato con il personale se poteva lasciare i bagagli mentre facevamo il check-out, lei ha detto di sì, quindi è stato fantastico. la posizione era ok, c'erano pochi buoni negozi di cibo, anche il supermercato era locale. La spiaggia era locale, a circa 5 minuti a piedi, più simile alla spiaggia di ciottoli. Abbiamo prenotato questo hotel per 3 notti, ma siamo riusciti a rimanere solo una notte, abbiamo deciso di prenotare un altro posto dove continuare la nostra vacanza..

This was a last minute booking due to our package holiday being cancelled. We arrived by Hoppa transfer from Chania airport and were warmly welcomed. We were given a choice of two apartment locations which was appreciated. The apartments are large and clean. There were two Aircon units which were included in the price and very effective. The cleaning service was very good. The pool was clean and spacious and allows ball games and inflatables, which kept the kids happy. Could get sun loungers at anytime during the day. Cocktails at the bar were very good. Beer a little expensive compared to the beach bars. Easy to catch the bus to Chania (timetable in reception). Also easy to get to the waterpark on the road train - would highly recommend. Also the boat trip was good and collected from outside the hotel. Therefore not necessary to hire a car. Only minor gripes for us was the bed was hard and the bathroom a bit dingy.

Well where do I start with this amazing hotel ,upon arrival as a family (2 adults and a teenager) which was late we were welcomed by Nic,George, Georgina and the team and instantly made to feel very welcome nothing was to much trouble and as we were booked on a half board basis was offered food after our long journey bearing in mind this was midnight . The food at the hotel is excellent and both the bar menu and the restaurant menu have something to suit everybody's taste. The room was also more than we expected with all the facilities to self cater if booked on that basis , the view we had was amazing off our balcony of the pool and also the sea which is only a short walk away , Sunbeds are not a problem at this hotel around the pool (which is cleaned daily ) as there are plenty to go around and no need to be placing towels on beds at sunrise. There is a shop also onsite for anything you may require if you don't want to walk to the nearest supermarket which again is around a 5 minute walk away . There are buses avalible just outside the front of the hotel enabling you to travel all the way to chania which is around 40 minutes by bus ,or platensa the nearest local town around 15 minutes bus fare very reasonable at €4.80 for the 3 of us each way . Trips around the island can also be booked at reception with Georgina and far cheaper than booking the trips elsewhere as Georgina was very knowledgeable about the trips and what would suit is as a family . The poolside bar on a evening offers entertainment also and we caught several karaoke nights which were amusing ,that may of also been down to how good the cocktails are prepared by George ,nic,or Clyde who all make great cocktails and if it's not on the menu thjust ask and they will make it for you . Rooms are cleaned daily and consumables replenished . The area as a whole where the hotel is located has everything you need from supermarkets to restaurants by the beach etc although I would say from our experience of eating out the food at the hotel would take some beating . I can't rate this hotel highly enough and I have stopped all over the world purely for the extended family feel and how welcome you are made to feel if I could give it 10 stars I would and definitely plan to return .
