From the second we got there - we were treated amazingly! From the check in process to the room to everything in between - the start of our honeymoon couldn’t be more spectacular. First the service - very attentive and helpful, and they had all these special treats for us because it was our honeymoon. Second the room - feels like a NY high rise but every inch was meticulously planned with a balcony and ocean view - it was the best. The front staff are very helpful, we got to explore the capital a bit before leaving which was a great experience - such a rich culture! The food was amazing as well - the dinner was so tasty, and the buffet breakfast included was phenomenal. We can’t say enough good things about this place. 10/10!!

Hotel moderno e confortevole, si trova a circa 10min di auto dall'aeroporto. Personale disponibile e attento alle esigenze, si parla inglese. Spazi ridotti a minimo ma confortevoli, camere pulite e ordinate, presente ascensore, molto apprezzato anche il servizio di transfer da/per aeroporto che viene fornito. Ottimo hotel di appoggio per trascorrere qualche notte in attesa di uno spostamento interno. Molto buono il ristorante che viene gestito sulla terrazza all'ultimo piano, menu vario e buono a prezzi economici.

Eravamo così felici di essere ospiti di Amber Beach, dato che il personale ci ha trattato in modo così buono! Sono stati utili, ci hanno aiutato a organizzare il trasferimento dall'aeroporto, il taxi per il centro città, ci hanno dato molti consigli utili e persino carte d'imbarco stampate. Mille grazie a Bugy che è il miglior direttore d'albergo che abbiamo incontrato! Le camere sono pulite e la colazione è perfetta (cibo locale ed europeo). Ancora una volta - Grazie mille all'Amber Beach Team!

vantaggio: Il prezzo è economico, la posizione è eccellente, non lontano dall'aeroporto, c'è una navetta aeroportuale gratuita, colazione inclusa. Il personale era molto entusiasta e molto professionale riguardo al tempo per andare all'aeroporto e raggiungere l'isola il giorno successivo. Soddisfatto del servizio. La cosa migliore è che proprio di fronte all'hotel c'è il mare blu e l'acqua scorre veloce per un po'. Ci sono prese domestiche nella stanza, il che è comodo. discordanza: La stanza è leggermente piccola e le strutture sono semplici. Naturalmente, a questo prezzo, questi non sono problemi. La prossima volta che verrò a Gunny, prenoterò questo posto.

Un bellissimo resort con buoni servizi per bambini e adulti. Le camere sono pulite ma durante il mio soggiorno di 5 giorni le lenzuola non sono state purtroppo cambiate. Il personale del ristorante è selettivo su chi si occupa, ma per me non è un problema. L'unico problema che ho avuto è stato il ristorante che non voleva farci sedere perché non avevamo prenotato il giorno in cui siamo arrivati. C'erano solo 2 tavoli occupati e dopo qualche insistenza abbiamo ottenuto un tavolo e un'ora dopo il nostro pasto il ristorante aveva lo stesso numero di ospiti, quindi non capisco il rifiuto iniziale. Porta con te la bottiglia d'acqua perché il ristorante ti addebita l'acqua da tavola. Adoro il servizio di trasferimento rapido e accogliente.

Mi sono divertito moltissimo con il mio ragazzo a SAii Lagoon, tutti erano così gentili e adorabili! Ci hanno trattato come una famiglia e ci siamo sentiti davvero i benvenuti. Durante il check-in ho incontrato ”Jack”, è così gentile, professionale ed estremamente disponibile! Inoltre parla fluentemente mandarino e inglese, il che è un vantaggio per i turisti cinesi che hanno difficoltà con l'inglese. Al ristorante/bar a bordo piscina “Mr. Tom Yam”, abbiamo incontrato uno staff straordinario lì, sempre felice di vederci e ci hanno servito i cocktail e il cibo più deliziosi! Siamo sempre stati così felici di vedere ”Eli e Sam”, ci hanno dato i migliori suggerimenti quando non potevamo decidere cosa prendere, non rimarrai sicuramente deluso se si tratta di cibo o bevande! Sapevano cosa volevamo prima ancora di dirglielo, il che era un vantaggio! E dietro al bancone c'è il miglior barman chiamato ”Joseph”, che ci ha preparato dei cocktail FANTASTICI, giuro che è uno dei MIGLIORI che abbia mai assaggiato finora! Salutavano e sorridevano sempre. La camera era molto spaziosa e ben attrezzata con tutto l'essenziale e una vista fantastica. Non esito a consigliare questo hotel ai turisti che vogliono andarci. Prima di partire ho incontrato ”Tharaka” era così adorabile, gentile e disponibile! Tutti erano così adorabili, cordiali e professionali! Torneremo presto in questo posto! Siamo ancora in aeroporto e mi va di lasciare subito una recensione a questo resort (molto bello, pulito, organizzato ed il cibo eccellente... Ci tengo a fare una recensione diretta allo staff tutto...in particolar modo a SAGARA per la sua gentilezza , la sua cordialità e la sua capacità di accogliere i clienti con tanta educazione e professionalità.. Tutto ciò sempre con un sorriso da farti sentire a casa tua.....Grazie SAGARA!!!!

My wife and I honeymooned at Velassaru for 6 nights in early May, arranged through a local travel agent in Australia. We went for the Indulgence package and a beachside villa with plunge pool and the entire experience was excellent. The transfers to and from the airport were pre-arranged and seamless, and we were on the island with no fuss. Once there we were greeted and refeshed, then led to our lovely room, overlooking a beautiful turquoise ocean with reef break. The ocean colours really are something else, and this is coming from an Australian. The wife insisted on the plunge pool which of course turned out to be a brilliant decision. For me, it was about the food and drink. We ate at all of the restaurants, and every one provided excellent meals and the Indulgence package covered all of the basics so I could grab most of what I wanted when I wanted. I did spring for the lobster and some nice whisky though, at civilised prices subsidised through the package. I was very happy here. For my wife, she loved the ocean, and spent hours snorkelling / exploring out on the reef, or relaxing in the plunge pool with some music and a drink. I'll let her write the next bit. The Wife: Thank you to all the staff at Velassaru for making our stay a wonderful home away from home. Shout out to Imran for the lovely pine frond hats and jewellry he made for us in celebration of our honeymoon. The snorkelling was out of this world, plenty of sharks, turtles, beautiful reef and coral nurseries with baby fish. I look forward to seeing all the happy and dedicated staff at Velassaru in the near future. Regarding the timing, we went early low season which is the local wet season, and this was fine. The weather was overall mostly sunny during the day, while riding out any late afternoon storms in the pool with a cocktail, or late night tempests in the warm plunge pool (also with a cocktail), was a great experience. Also regarding the timing, the resort was pretty quiet and here is where things truly shine. Without the high season pressure, we received immediate and pleasant attention and service from the staff. For our own honeymoon experience, we must particularly thank Salam and Imran, both of whom were engaging and ensured everything was on point, from them we received exceptional service, and more importantly, conversation. A special mention, and which for us will mark special memories, is Chef Wasantha and his personal attention during our stay. He visited our table during lunch on our first day and offered us whatever we liked, so my wife offered a challenge of tandoori lamb cutlets. Half an hour later, two plates were consumed, and chef continued to entertain requests over the next few days for whatever was asked.
