Bit basic but clean. Very central and good spot for walking or exploring local area. Cawsand 10 minute walk away. Good night in the pub listening to local fishermen’s choir singing and banter. Parking available nearby for small fee.

Pleasant ambience and staff but unfortunately terrible food. I had the vegetarian option which consisted of a bowl of linguine mixed with oil and half a jar of sun-dried tomatoes (seemingly straight from the jar). If there was pesto in the mix, I couldn't taste it. There was no attempt at a sauce of any kind - possibly the worst veggie dish I've ever had out, and frankly insulting to vegetarians.

Spacious two bedroom and two bathroom apartment for two people with a balcony looking over the Plymouth Sound. Perfect waterfront and village centre location in pretty a village. Fully equipped from those rarely available egg cups to a sharp knife. Simply furnished. Budget towels and bed linen. Thin loo rolls. Excellent value £257 for two nights. Just £10 for nearby parking over 48 hours. Would we return? Yes. Separate review for the pub.

Stayed one night.been here before. Live locally. Good location evening meal good. Breakfast good. Reasonable rates Friendly staff. One issue .ROOM 3. very clean and tidy. Sadly directly above the room was the the central heating boiler. Was on when we got there at 5pm didn't seem too bad noise wise then we assumed it would go off at some stage. But stayed on and we had to put up with the noise all night when everything was quiet. The noise was far more pronounced. We got very little sleep management must be aware. ? Let our stay down somewhat..

Called in for lunch on the way past staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of drinks and quite an extensive menu. We had a cheese and pickle sandwich on thick cut white farmhouse and a fish finger sandwich in a baguette both with side salad and crisps both really good and tasty. It was a Sunday and their roast dinners looked amazing. Thank you and keep up the good service.

Wife me and 2 dogs stayed in room 6. Other family stayed in a house round the corner. Plenty of room for the dogs in our room. They were welcome throughout the pub. Good Wi-Fi. Good storage in the room and space in the bathroom. We slept well there. The tea and toast hit the spot at breakfast. Kingsand is a great place to visit. Friendly pub. Great beer. Good band on Sunday night. Cheap car park next door. I left something in the room and they kindly facilitated its return. We’ll be back!

Basic accommodation. Poor fitting curtains, mould on bath sealant, damaged basin surround, noisy floors, poor sound insulation. Evening meal portions small and fish overcooked. Didn’t get any breakfast as service did not start until 9 am too late for our onward travel. Customer service very poor and manager unpleasant and unhelpful.

We stayed at The Lookout for two nights, just around the corner from the Halfway House Inn and can honestly say that our experience can't be faulted. The accommodation was spotless, warm and welcoming and the view across the open bay was awesome. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn't sure about eating at the pub being a celiac, but to my relief there were plenty gluten free choices so we ate there on both nights. The food was varied, fresh and delicious. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere and is clearly well liked by the locals - always a good sign! We hope to return again soon :)
