What a gem!! A peaceful setting yet so convenient to get to the city with the metro stop (North Ryde) only a short walking distance away and only four stops from city central - less than 25 minutes! Kitchen is well stocked and we easily cooked for our family of four. It’s a great option for families looking for the flexibility to eat in, enjoy peaceful nights, and getting to the city hassle free.

We continue to visit this park year after year. We love the fact that it is a National park with historic significance so close to public transportation and shopping facilities. The staff are amazing and the cabins are delightful to stay in. They have a pool and many excellent amenities scattered around the park. So convenient and centrally located. We will be back again next year.

This place has been very nice. Clean accommodation, excellent beds, pillows, sheets. Functional kitchen to prepare meals. Special thanks to the very friendly staff who has been sooo helpful in an emergency! Life in the bush close to the city!

This caravan park gets 3 stars for excellent location near public transport and a lovely bush setting. It loses 2 stars for lack of organisation at reception for sites. Bookings have to be paid in full without guaranteed choice of site. So you may end up being somewhere you dislike. Reception needs more competent staff.

Stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin and the cabin was really nice and clean , shower was big with a big shower head which I loved . Bed was comfortable and kitchen had all things we need . Loved being back in nature and seeing all the wildlife . Enjoyed a nice bush walk through the national park . Park is located about a 15 min walk to North Ryde station . Only a couple of things , we constantly hearing knocking noises coming from the wall where aircon was only thing we could determine it was coming from the pipes attached to the wall outside . And on the last morning we were woken at 6am with constant planes going overhead every 2-3 mins for hours ( outside of parks control I know just thought people might need to be aware it’s a flight path and can be noisy ) Overall we enjoyed our stay and definitely would stay again .

The park is in a great location in the national park and with an easy walk to public transport for Chatswood, Macquarie Centre Parramatta and the city. The cabins are lovely with a lovely outlook. They are clean and comfortable with most needs meet. There are BBQs and amenities blocks throughout the park as well as camp kitchens. Lovely place to stay.

Discovery Parks in Lane Cove National Park is in a fantastic position. Its right in the national park so is very scenic. There are bushwalks and wildlife close by. It has cabins, caravan sites and tent sites. The cabins arte self-contained with most things you'll need. There are amenities blocks scattered around the park with laundries and toilets showers etc. There are well equipped camp kitchens and BBQs in the park. The park is close by busses and trains and not far from Chatswood or Macquarie Centre for getting supplies. The city of Sydney isn't too far away on public transport.

This caravan park is the perfect place to stay for a short holiday in Sydney. In the midst of a national park you can experience Australian bush and rain forest right next to Lane Cove River. Yet you are also in the middle of suburbia, with great restaurants and pubs close by. There are many hiking and bike trails. You are a short 10 minute walk to the nearest station. The facilities are great. For the adventurous or budget traveler or anyone looking for a different type of experience of Sydney.

We rolled into this site thinking it would be up the Discovery standard for the STAGGERING $189/nt for a powered suite, but NO. Apart for the location, and a cold pool, what else did we get? Nothing! What a disappointment Lane Cove! At other Discovery Parks we have been too across Australia we would get (family) a water park, sport’s facilities, heated pool, peddling cars and onsite coffee/food van. Shame on you guys for ripping off the Aussie Tourist. Especially when you require a minimum of 7 days paid for up front. Shame!
