La Cabana, Maamigili

Un posto molto rilassante in cui soggiornare per il vostro soggiorno alle Maldive. La Cabana è ben tenuta, pulita e confortevole. Le persone erano fantastiche e molto disponibili. Le immersioni sono state meravigliose, con molte attrazioni, ad es. la manta, il polpo, gli squali e molte altre specie. La barca è perfetta per le spedizioni di immersioni o snorkeling, nonché per le battute di pesca, e l'equipaggio conosce le posizioni migliori per tutte e tre. Spuntini freschi sulla barca. Abbiamo pescato molti pesci e abbiamo potuto grigliarli a La Cabana o gustare un delizioso pesce al curry preparato al momento. La colazione era deliziosa, con frutta fresca, ed era disponibile dalle 7:00 alle 10:30, così i dormiglioni possono dormire fino a tardi :) Tutti erano molto cordiali e l'atmosfera era rilassata e divertente. Mille grazie a Nanda, Armi e all'equipaggio, nonché a Shahid, per questa fantastica vacanza. Consiglio vivamente La Cabana e l'isola stessa è un luogo felice e amichevole. E una menzione al ristorante "The Chef" - assolutamente da provare!

Ho visitato l'isola di Maamigili per 3 notti con mia sorella. Siamo stati in questo bellissimo Hotel ed è stata un'esperienza incredibile. Nishan ci è venuto a prendere dal Jetty Point in macchina. All'hotel siamo stati accolti con acqua di cocco fresca dagli alberi nel giardino dell'hotel. È stato così rinfrescante. Siamo stati fortunati ad avere un upgrade gratuito alla camera Super Deluxe con vista sul mare. Le camere erano pulite, spaziose e dotate di tutti i comfort moderni (aria condizionata, mini frigo, asciugacapelli, bollitore, almirah di buone dimensioni, tavolo enorme, tavolo e sedie). Anche i bagni erano abbastanza puliti. Nishan ha avuto un tempo di risposta impressionante. Dato che era la nostra prima volta alle Maldive, abbiamo avuto molte domande, ha risposto a tutte prontamente e con pazienza. Il personale qui si è assicurato che avessimo un'esperienza straordinaria e che avessimo abbastanza tempo per rilassarci anche tra un'escursione e l'altra. Gli squali balena sono a soli 5 minuti di motoscafo da quest'isola. Abbiamo fatto snorkeling con gli squali balena accompagnati da Nishan e Muvaahid. Ci hanno anche dato lezioni di snorkeling. Sono andato a Discover Scuba Diving con l'istruttore Dive Midhoo e Ibrahim (ho visto vari tipi di pesci e bellissimi coralli). Midhoo ha più di 2 decenni di esperienza subacquea, quindi ci siamo sentiti estremamente al sicuro con loro. Sono andato anche per la pesca notturna con il proprietario dell'hotel e altri due ragazzi (ho catturato un pesce cernia, ho visto plancton luminosi in mare e ho anche avuto un'ottima vista della Via Lattea, ho avvistato molte stelle cadenti qui). Quella sera abbiamo cenato al barbecue con i pesci che abbiamo catturato. Questi ragazzi si sono assicurati che avessimo un'ottima esperienza in hotel e anche sott'acqua. Li tornerei sicuramente!!

We had a wonderful time, the staff was very kind and helpful all the time. The room was clean, and tidied up recently. The diving boat is also well cared, and its crew is well prepared, took really good care of us! And the dives are incredible! We did more than 20 dives, each of them had an interesting thing involved. See the pictures below! Well done, La Cabana! See you next year!

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful, clean rooms and fantastic staff. The service was amazing, all my wishes were fulfilled perfectly and I was treated incredibly kindly by everyone. The dive and boat team is fantastic as well, always took great care of me and made sure I didn’t lack anything. They took me to the best diving spots and gave me some unforgettable memories. I am extremely grateful to the entire team and HIGHLY recommend this guesthouse, especially for divers!

I visited La Cabana recently with my sister and we were amazed by their hospitality. All our questions were answered promptly and Nishan arranged everything for us. Hotel has comfortable rooms and all modern facilities are available including minifridge, hair dryer, clean linen. We did whale shark snorkeling trip with Nishan and Muvaahid and scuba dive with Midhoo and Nufrey and saw multiple whale sharks and beautiful corals😊. They also arranged for our lunch at the beach and Muvaahid also gave us swimming and snorkeling lesson. Lacabana has spoiled us with their hospitality.

La cabana is located on a local island called Maamigili, 2 hour speed boat ride from Male international airport. One can also take a domestic flight from Male to VAM (which is an airport on this island) which will take 20 minutes. Nishan is a very friendly host and he took good care of us. It was our first trip to Maldives and information provided by Nishan was crucial for us. The guesthouse has an associated dive house. It is nicely built and is value for money. The room was spacious and furniture there was good. The beach is a five minute walk from it. The beach is unspoilt, clean and amazing with a hammock in the backdrop of turquoise blue water. Nishan lent us his scooty and that was very helpful in exploring the island. To help set expectations right for future travellers, this is unlike other hotels in the sense that they don't provide room service or allowed to take food to the room. The breakfast didn't have much variety. They ordered food from a nearby restaurant and it took very long most of the times. Later we discovered an amazing restaurant called Beach Fresh and our food needs were sorted. Cycles were not available there when we went. Also we were the only guests in the guesthouse, as we went in March end. We would recommend to book transport to and from Male at this resort as the price was less than what was offered by other resorts. This guest house is recommended for being reasonably priced (as most resorts in Maldives are very expensive) and for the friendly nature of its caretaker.

Midhoo and brother Nishan are incredible hosts and you can’t help but feel at ease and looked after in their company. Their hotel has a modern feel and the rooms are a comfortable size, there are lovely views from the top floor over the community and out to sea. I was lucky enough to be their first dive customer and even though the weather turned en route to the dive site, Midhoo persevered and it was an incredible experience. We saw 4 sharks and plenty of colourful fish on the reef. I’d recommend this place and a dive with these boys to anyone. I’d love to come back. Thank you for an unforgettable experience boys!

I happen to choose this villa for one night stay as I missed my flight to the main island the previous day. They responded immediate to my inquiry for a room and was kind enough to pick me from the airport. The care taker is an amazing gentlemen. I felt so homely there and spent the day eatig out from nearby restaurants. room was spacious and clean! All were there for a traveler who wants to spend a night out in this beautifull island! Also he gave me a ride to the airport as there was no taxi available at the time. So impressed!! Wishing good luck to la Cabaana and its management. Susantha Bandara Hotelier
