Pulling up the long driveway to Foxhills is everything a showbiz arrival should be. The location is stunning, and it’s hard to think you’re only moments from the World’s biggest car park, the M25. The service and food were top tier. In fact I’d go as far as to say service here is world class. The food was fantastic for the duration. Spa and facilities all present and correct. Nice touch with the meditation garden, plunge pool and sauna. I’m gagging to get to the thing letting this whole deal down - the bedroom. Paper thin walls, ancient bathrooms and quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed/pillow combo I’ve ever come across. I was given the punishment of 2 nights in a travel lodge last month, and after a night in this torture chamber - I’d return to the Burford TL in a heartbeat. It’s so confusing because to look around at the clientele you’d assume this wouldn’t be possible…but it somehow is. I would beg to come back and eat, hang out, enjoy the facilities etc. I wouldn’t give you tuppence for the room. In fact, I’d beg you not to make me stay in that bed again.

My partner and I booked a couples package/ birthday weekend away which included a room, one round of golf, and one spa treatment. In addition, I added a second golfer to the tee time for, reserved a golf buggy, and booked an extra spa treatment. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly impacted our experience. 1. Golf Course and Buggy Issues Upon arrival, we were not informed that the golf course was partially closed. As a result, we were only able to play 15 holes instead of the full 18. We were not made aware of this limitation at the time of booking or when checking in at the pro shop; we only discovered this upon reaching the first tee. Despite being charged full price for two rounds of golf, we were unable to enjoy the complete course despite being charged full price. Additionally, the buggy we reserved was not in working condition and was unusable. After being denied a buggy that I had reserved in advance. 2. Room Condition This stay was intended to be a romantic getaway, as it was advertised on the website. However, upon reaching our room, we were greeted with scaffolding covering the entire building. Additionally, there were multiple issues with the room itself: * The lights were not functioning properly (see attached photos). * The "double bed" was actually two single beds pushed together, which was not ideal for a romantic experience. Due to the gap between the two mattresses, we were basically sleeping in two separate beds, not to mention falling through the middle throughout the night. * The shower pressure was inadequate, the handles were broken, and no body soap was provided. I even selected a more expensive room to ensure the quality of our stay aiming for it to be romantic experience. Given these conditions, the room did not meet the standard expected for the price paid. 3. Dinner and Breakfast Experience We had a dinner reservation for 8 pm. Despite arriving on time, we were asked to wait in the bar area for 30 minutes without being served any drinks or attended to. During dinner, we both ordered steaks. My partners were satisfactory, but mine had a large clump of fat in the centre, which was disappointing (see attached photo). While breakfast was generally fine, I was surprised to find that, despite being advertised as "breakfast included," there was an additional charge for any coffee beyond the standard filtered coffee. This seems misleading and not in line with the advertised inclusions. 4. Check-Out Experience I raised these all the issues with the receptionist upon check-out. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology for the inconveniences, and while she mentioned that a 20% discount would be applied to our tee times, this was not reflected on my final bill. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the quality of service and experience, especially considering that the total cost of our stay was nearly £1,000 including meals. We visited Foxhills yesterday for a champagne afternoon tea to celebrate a dear friend’s graduation. All the staff went out of their way to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. I would like to specifically mention Vishnu who took many photos for us whilst also doing his own work and for also going out of his way to come out into the gardens to take more photos for us there. It was much appreciated and we now all have lovely photos of a great occasion. I would like to let Renato , who is the manager there that his staff are a credit to him and to say a huge thank you from us all .

Stayed here in 2022 for the week for the PGA Cup, lovely place! Returned April 25 and the rooms have been renovated and decorated and look beautiful. So comfy! Food is great, swift service and polite staff. One night is not enough, recommend a stay here.

Everyone who was involved in our wedding at Foxhills was brilliant. Cheyenne, the wedding co ordinator was so great to work with, very experienced and such a lovely energy. The team involved in the service overall were amazing. From Louis greeting me and all our guests at the front door to Alan and his team with us in the Orangery through out the evening. Our toastmaster Nigel was so lovely and a brilliant personality to have guide us through the evening. Our vendors were recommended by Foxhills and did not fail to deliver. The photographer, the florist and the cake designer all worked in harmony with everyone at the venue to create a beautiful day and lots of special memories.

The distance to and from the main building to the accommodation was too distant and required ferrying by golf buggy in inclement weather. the room did not have a telephone and when trying to contact reception the system via the eyepad did not work. As non UK residents this meant using expensive mobile roaming data. The breakfast had been kept hot under heat lamps and was dry and poached eggs were more like hard boiled. The mastic around the wash hand basin was very poor, the lamp in the bedside light flickered and there was cigarette burn in furniture. one evening our door key did not work and we had to make another expensive mobile phone call to reception and wait 15 mins outside until someone arrived with another key. All in all we expected a better standard.
