Premier Inn Swindon West (M4, J16)

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. We arrived early due do a night flight from Gatwick and reception were able to accommodate an earlier check in with an additional £10 payment. The cleaner then went straight to sort our room out; within 40 minutes we were sleeping in the bed. We were so grateful that premier inn has this policy, and that the staff on reception and cleaning were so helpful! The room was a standard premier inn room, nice and clean. The ultimate WiFi at £5 was very quick. Great food choices nearby subway, drive through Costa, Greggs and local shop. We will definitely use again!

On the positive the receptionist Leo was an absolute star. Very funny and helpful. I loved her! However on the negative the Restaurant (the Lydiard) Beefeater was closed. We were directed towards the other Premier Inn hotels in Swindon but they were Brewers Fayre and Thyme restaurant which my wife has had food problems in the past suffering from IBS. We specifically booked this hotel for the restaurant. We were told about another restaurant but bot in walking distance. Eventually Leo booked us a taxi to go to Harvester 4 miles away at a cost of £16.70 there and £16.60 back! The next day the receptionist suggested The Windmill which was 20 minutes walking distance. Why was this not suggested on the first day! Alot of cost, stress, inconvenience and time was wasted on this trip. Did not enjoy for these reasons thats why 1 out of 5! Saving grace was Leo who made me laugh.

Room was tired and needed refreshing, heating is controlled by the hotel although there is adjustments available in the room, ultimately the reception control when and how how your heating is. Restaurant was closed for all of the 4 days we were at the hotel so no breakfast or dinner available

I stay in premier inn all year round all over the country. Don’t often leave reviews, but Tan on reception was a real credit to the company . She went above and beyond and was a real pleasure. Premier inn should give her a great big pat on the back . Well done Tan 🤗

This is a older premier inn but does not cost a arm and leg like the new one. Everyone we spoke to in the hotel was kind. Leo and Lisa both very chatty on check in it not over the top. If you stay ensure you entre your reg in reception or you may get a ticket. Plenty of good food outlets near by if Beefeater can't accommodate you.

Checked in with Richard who gave us directions to next location. Booked all our food and helped with a plug as we forgot. No USB plugs in the room so take a plug. Food next door was a little slow but good quality. I would defo stay again when I visit Swindon.
