Their customer service was first class and provided tons of helpful local information. We had a two bedroom, one bathroom suite which was spacious and elegant as well as private and quiet. Utterly charming historic location with delicious breakfast. Excellent experience!

Loved the room and the breakfast. Location was great. Staff was friendly and efficient and spoke English. We were in 306 with a view of the street and the plaza. Maybe bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. It's nice to open the windows for ventilation but the church bells ring all night on the quarter hour. It didn't keep me awake but I could see it maybe being a problem for other people. With the windows closed there's no sound at all. Nice property, great condition, lots of restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the location and the affordability of Cranach Herberge. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was air-conditioned, which mattered last summer.
I did not like carrying luggage up a winding staircase of three floors. The main drawback is that every time someone opened and closed a door on our floor, we could hear it in our room. The doors have medieval-looking locks and hardware and are very noisy.
I was looking for an eccentric old-style European hotel and I found it. This is a good establishment and I figure it was a fair deal.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön, das Appartement hatte zwei Schlafzimmer, Küche und Bad und war ideal für die Familie geeignet (maximal 5 Personen). Die Zimmer waren richtig groß und die Küche mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich, mit vielen frischen und selbstgemachten Produkten. Richt lecker. Das Personal war ebenfalls super freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Urige, gemütliche Wohnung, sehr nettes Personal, leckeres Frühstück, viele interessante alte Gebäude und Museen (und Geschäfte) fußläufig zu erreichen... Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, obwohl wir wegen eines Abflussproblems in der blauen Wohnung zwischendurch in eine andere im anderen Haus umziehen mussten, was aber dank des sehr hilfsbereiten Personals schnell erledigt war. Sobald die blaue Wohnung renoviert ist, ist sie als absolutes Schätzchen hoffentlich noch so empfehlenswert wie wir sie als Letzte genießen konnten! :-)

Wir haben diese Unterkunft sehr genossen. Sie ist das Ergebnis sehr engagierter Menschen, die es möglich gemacht haben, dass dieses absolut zentral gelegene Kleinod „aus Ruinen wieder auferstehen“ konnte. Der Reinerlös der Übernachtungserträge kommt auch weiterhin dem Erhalt des historischen Gebäudes zugute. Begeistert waren wir insbesondere auch vom Frühstück, dass mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet wird und auch mit mancher Spezialität überrascht.

Kein Fernseher auf dem Zimmern, nach Erläuterung wurde mir klar, passt zum Ambiente. Frühstück war Super 👍
