I was really touched that they came to pick me up even though I was the only guest. After I checked in, they even brought it to my room – so thoughtful! The front desk also helped me plan my itinerary and told me about the sightseeing bus schedule. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the main street, with beautiful views. The dehumidifier worked wonders! My clothes dried completely overnight after I washed them. The only minor downside is the lack of large bath towels (I heard this is common in Jiangxi). They provide thin, disposable towels, which aren't quite enough if you have long hair..."

Arriving early in the morning, my room wasn't ready yet, so I contacted the front desk to take my luggage from the cable car station back to the hotel so I could head straight to the scenic spots with my kids. I was delighted to receive an upgrade and a higher floor. The room was clean, and the shower was powerful and warm, which was a great relief from the fatigue of the hike. I skipped breakfast the next day because I was so tired, so I'm not sure how it was. Upon check-out, the front desk lady, Ms. Chen, arranged a car to take us to the cable car entrance, gave us a few extra bottles of mineral water, and a gift. The service was truly thoughtful and I'm very grateful. Lushan is worth visiting more often, and I'd love to stay here again. A few things that could be improved: the bathroom drain had a strong odor, and the shower head was a bit clogged."

"Let me first explain the two reasons for the one-star rating: 1. The hotel's shuttle bus service management has serious problems. The front desk staff lacks a sense of responsibility, and communication and coordination with the drivers are poor, leading to guests being missed and causing them to be stranded at the sightseeing bus stop for extended periods. Due to its unfortunate location, the hotel is only a five-minute drive from the nearest sightseeing bus stop, Lulin Station. Therefore, the complimentary shuttle bus service between the hotel and the bus stop is a necessary way to attract guests and compensate for this locational disadvantage. Otherwise, if the hotel didn't offer this shuttle service, apart from self-driving tourists visiting non-core scenic areas on the east and west routes, tourists without cars would likely have to walk to Lulin Station for at least half an hour, the time and energy required for the round trip being considerable. Therefore, this shuttle bus service should be considered a core and essential service of this hotel and must be carefully managed and implemented; otherwise, it would be a significant disservice and deception to guests. 2. A one-star rating will be seen and noticed by travelers making travel plans, and my personal experience can serve as a true and objective reference, which is the greatest value of the rating system. If the rating were slightly higher, it might get buried among other neutral reviews. This review is valuable because it justifies the nearly 300 yuan room rate for one night. I declined the manager's sincere offer of room rate compensation and chose to share my experience on this platform in the hope of providing others with a better understanding of the hotel's strengths and weaknesses, its current management situation, and helping them make their own plans and choices based on their travel needs and priorities. Below are my specific experiences and feelings after two nights' stay: Shortcomings: 1. The shuttle service, or rather, the front desk service and the shuttle service, and the communication and management between the two. I stayed in Lushan for three days and two nights. For the first two nights, I contacted the front desk to arrange a shuttle bus to and from Lulin Station once each. The hotel has two vehicles: a very new MPV and a very old CRV in poor condition. The first day's round trip went smoothly, and I was satisfied with the other hotel facilities, so I originally planned to stay only one night but extended my stay for the following night. The next day, the trip to Lulin Station went smoothly. When I returned from my sightseeing in the evening, I contacted the front desk via WeChat as usual, and there were no issues. The staff verified my phone number and replied that they would contact the driver immediately, who would then contact me. Then began my long wait at Lulin Station. Forty minutes after my call with the front desk, a hotel MPV finally pulled into Lulin Station. This vehicle was dropping off passengers; two people got out, and the driver immediately sped away. I had to stand in front of the vehicle and flag it down to be picked up and taken back to the hotel. Moreover, the driver had no idea he was assigned to pick up guests or had no way of contacting me. If those two guests hadn't wanted to go to Lulin Station again in the evening, I don't know how much longer I would have had to wait. Late September was the off-season in Lushan, and the hotel's service was in such a terrible state. It's unimaginable how much trouble this hotel will cause and how many guests will be lost during the upcoming National Day holiday. Time is precious during travel, and the extra half hour spent on the shuttle bus, including waiting time, wasted considerable time. If anything went wrong, the anger of tired and hungry travelers at Lulin Station was unimaginable. Why didn't I contact the front desk again during those forty minutes? First, it was around 5 or 6 pm, and I figured the driver might be having dinner. Being 10 or 15 minutes late was acceptable, as drivers work hard. Although the hotel has two buses and at least two drivers, they should be able to take turns. I'll assume both were having dinner. Second, the front desk staff member, a young man, worked the same shift for two days. In my interactions with him, he seemed inattentive and careless, so I figured even if I called again, he would be indifferent and wouldn't care; it wouldn't matter whether I called or not. 2. Because of the extremely poor shuttle bus service, I'll also write down a detail that happened the following morning for your reference, which can give you a glimpse into the hotel's management level. This morning, I took the elevator from the second floor to the fifth floor to return to my room. As we passed the fourth floor, a cleaning lady entered the elevator. She was also going to the fifth floor. Seeing that the fifth-floor button was lit, she casually extended her gloved hand and pressed the close button. These gloved gloves are protective equipment, used by cleaning staff when using strong cleaning or even disinfecting tools, such as when wiping potentially germ-laden areas like toilets. The hotel knows to protect its cleaning staff, so why doesn't it protect its guests? The cleaning staff touched the elevator button wearing gloved gloves, and did so very naturally, right under the guests' eyes. One can imagine that the cleaning staff would use those gloves to touch everything in the guests' rooms that guests might touch. Cleaning staff need protection, but guests don't—this is the hotel's management philosophy. Perhaps this situation is very common, or perhaps it's an unspoken rule in the hotel industry, with every hotel managing and implementing this, but I haven't seen it. I did see this hotel's management and implementation, and because of my frustrating experience with Baidu Car Rental, I'm recording this uncomfortable point. 3. The problem still stems from the cleaning staff, which ultimately boils down to hotel management issues. On the morning of the third day, I stepped out of my room and heard the cleaning staff diligently cleaning the empty room, making a lot of noise. More importantly, their cell phone was playing an audiobook aloud from the cleaning cart. One of the reasons I chose this hotel, and one of the things I was very satisfied with, was its remote location away from Guling Street, a quiet and secluded environment. I never expected the cleaning staff to create such a disturbance. I can understand and accept the clattering of tables and chairs while cleaning, but to work while listening to an audiobook, and then have a resting guest listen along? Didn't they see the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door? In all my years of staying in hotels, this is the first time I've seen someone press the elevator button with rubber gloves in front of guests, and it's also the first time I've encountered cleaning staff playing an audiobook aloud and creating noise. This hotel's management is hopeless. The manager, the highest-ranking on-site manager of the hotel, after learning of my unsatisfactory shuttle bus experience and my intention to give the hotel a one-star negative review, proactively contacted me several times, apologizing and offering various compensation plans, hoping I would give them a chance to improve. I refused the compensation because receiving it would prevent me from objectively recording and describing the hotel's current management and service level, thus hindering information for other tourists. Moreover, pointing out the problem is the biggest motivation and best opportunity for the hotel to improve. After all, another insincere five-star review would only encourage hotel staff to relax their focus and continue to slack off. A short, sharp pain is better than a long, drawn-out one; let's laugh at this negative review and avoid more in the future. This hotel has only recently opened, and all the facilities are new. They haven't even had time to enter the hotel information into the Huazhu Club system yet, so the investors must have invested a lot of effort in the early stages. I wonder if the hotel's investors read reviews and use them to evaluate the management team's performance. If you happen to see this review, my personal conclusion is that it's a failure. Because it's a negative review, I won't go into too much detail, but I will still objectively record the positive aspects, which will also be helpful to others. New hotel facilities mean everything you see is new. The environment is quiet, except for the occasional loud noise from garbage trucks passing by on the mountain road a few dozen meters away at midnight; closing the windows makes it perfectly fine. Parking is ample, making the cramped parking spaces of hotels on Guling Street pale in comparison. The young woman on night duty at the front desk was very kind and courteous. The driver of the very old CRV was very helpful and kind-hearted. I think their behavior has little to do with hotel management; it's simply because they are genuinely kind, helpful, and responsible. They would shine anywhere. In conclusion, the hotel's strengths have little to do with its management level."
