We chose the South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast as the place to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. We arrived on a Friday and were greeted first by Babs, the neighbor's cat, then met by Joe and Shannon, the Innkeepers. They were such a friendly and welcoming couple who made our visit very special. Their story of meeting, marrying, and purchasing the Inn was so interesting and its obvious when speaking with them, that they love what they do. This 1875 Inn was really beautiful inside and out, clean, and welcoming. Modern updates have been added, blending the old with the new. It is located on acreage and gardens tended by Joe, including outdoor entertaining spaces and beautiful outbuildings including a massive old barn. Joe and Shannon have thought of everything that could make your stay perfect and comfortable. Shannon was an awesome cook. Saturday breakfast was grilled grapefruit, creme brulee french toast, and sausage. Plenty of hot coffee, juices, and teas. Joe assisted on Sunday by smoking the pork for the hash served with baked apples. Delicious and filling!! The fridge was always stocked with water and treats like chocolate covered strawberries and tiramisu made by Shannon. The Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Luray, where you will find shops and restaurants to explore. Vineyards were within driving distance as well as hiking trails and the National Park. Plenty to do here! We are so glad we chose this B&B for our anniversary trip. Our hosts were wonderful. Our stay was perfect. We definitely plan to visit again. Two thumbs up!
