Hotel Hanseatischer Hof

Stayed for one night on the way from Denmark to southern Germany. Check in Check in very fairly swift and the person behind the reception was friendly. Check out was easy and quick as well. Rooms The rooms look very dated and would need to be freshen up. They very much gave late 90’s early 00’s vibes. Something else to note was that we booked two room in different categories, yet they were next to each other and exactly the same, despite one being the superior room. Other than rather the room was fairly pleasant with plenty of seating and a decently comfortable bed. HOWEVER, after about an hour in the room (the extractor fan in the bathroom had been running) it started smelling of urine in the bathroom, very, very badly. We waited some time in the hope it would go away but it didn’t. Eventually we went back down to the reception to ask what could be done and they gave us a new room immediately. They said they knew that some rooms had this issue (our room was 1109 so make sure to avoid that one). If they know, why do they not fix it before they put guests into the room? (Having just read some of the trip advisor reviews shows that this problem has been an issue since 2019 AT LEAST, how can that not be fixed?) 
One the one hand we were obviously glad we could change rooms so quickly, on the other hand we we’re tired and had already unpacked so changing rooms after a long day isn’t my idea of fun. The new room also had a spider crawling up the wall…. Garage Garage was big with enough decently sized spaces. Wifi Wifi was quite sketchy. Connection wasn’t stable in the first room we stayed at and the upload speed in the second room was quite slow, but signal was more stable. Stayed only because it was on the way, wouldn’t necessarily stay again.

We found lingerie in the room from the previous guests. The front desk apologized for this but did not go any further. It was expensive stay and the hotel was chosen due to their spa area. This was very disappointing: boring, not very big and we had to wait 30 minutes before an employee arrived when reception

Sehr schade, dass das Haus schließt. Wir hätten es gerne in voller Blüte erlebt. Man hat gemerkt, dass hier Aufbruchstimmung war... Optisch hat uns alles gut gefallen. Spa war überwiegend geschlossen, Restaurant und Co.vollständig. Wir wünschen den übrigen Mitarbeiter: innen alles Gute!

Beim Frühstücksbüfett waren die Brötchen nicht ht essbar. Bistro und Bar waren gar nicht erst geöffnet. Wellness, naja nicht ht der knaller. Ausserdem kostenpflichtig parken, obwohl keine Chance besteht anderweitig parken zu können
