For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. There is luggage storage space at the property. A Full English or continental breakfast is included in all room rates. The property offers lunch every day, evening meals Monday to Sunday in the Bar area, Bistro or Restaurant. We stayed in a room over the pub for a night, and it far exceeded out expectations. For a start it was huge, very well equipped and given the location, pretty quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there was a full menu for breakfast. Nothing not to love.

Excellent position. The staff were all friendly and polite. Our case was carried to our room. Food was excellent both times we ate there. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is a good place to stay as it is so central. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends

Spent an evening here whilst tracking the bike at Cadwell - it’s the effect choice. Great food, decent room, secure. Car park lively bar atmosphere.

A reasonable place to stay with it's own spacious car park. Our room was the furthest one and there were quite a few stairs so not so good if you struggle with stairs. Room was clean, had everything we needed. Bed was rather firm. The breakfast was very good, cooked freshly. We ate one evening in the Bistro and food was good there too.

I took my Brother and his wife on 29th May for lunch, outer building looks good, we entered the bar, greeted well and shown our table looking out onto street quite nice, service was excellent and friendly, My brother's wife ordered onion tart salad, my brother and I ordered steak pie chips and peas, the onion tart very good, the steak pie excellent BUT the only disappointment of the visit was the so called chips, should be called McDonalds fries, they looked out of place with food provided, not like picture in menu at all and out of place for such a place, if they actually provided home made chips to match the home made pie as shown in online menu we would of rated The Kings Head 10/10 but Mc fries and misleading photo dropped them to 9/10, Disappointing.

Kings Head in Louth is a decent venue for live music and food and drink. My 3 star rating is based on the bar staff not allowing me to charge my electronic device without mocking me and asking for money for the tip jar. Apparently my custom alone is not enough to qualify for a small amount (10 mins max) of charge (“electricity isn’t free you know”). Every pub I have been in for the last 10 years has no problem with charging.

Day out in Louth, called in here for lunch. Absolutely one of the best beef and ale pie I have ever had. Beautiful pastry and tender beef with yummy gravy chips and peas. Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. Good value. Will definately return.
