Casa León Royal Retreat

We returned to Casa Leon having been here for the first visit in 2024. We were not disappointed! The staff could not have been too helpful - the wonderful reception staff made booking our visit so easy - they were helpful with arranging taxis and bicycles and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The restaurant team were brilliant throughout the day, from our wonderful breakfast, through cocktail hour and into our evening meals. Special thanks must go to Nadia and the rest of the team - Christian; Damian and Dylan as well as Sarah and Cathy who attended to our every need. Oliver was an exceptional host for day trips as well as a great masseur and raconteur! We will be returning next year - if not sooner!

We had a lovely time. The hotel is so peaceful and the staff are lovely! I really enjoyed the exercise classes with Oliver. My hip pain cleared up nicely after the strength classes. The food was wonderful! We both felt recharged after a week. This is the place to come if you like peace and quiet. By 9pm everyone is in their room!

Absolutely gorgeous small and friendly hotel. We had a fab week away in the sun. Food healthy, plentiful and high quality. Views stunning, facilities amazing. Free classes brilliant. Excellent massage by Oliver. All staff we encountered were amazing and a real credit. Our room was small but absolutely fine. Bed sooooo comfy and huge. Very quiet room (311 mountain view). Only bother behind our heads was next door's bathroom so heard taps, shower, loo etc in the night/ early morning. A full length mirror in the bedroom would have been helpful, had to keep going out into the corridor. Also a hook next to the shower cubicle would have been useful to place your towel. €6 for a bottle of water is steep so we went into Maspalomas town and bought some full the supermarket. We'd read previous reviews so were prepared for that. We also brought our own little kettle as we like a cuppa first thing. Apart from that, we loved it and would thoroughly recommend

Just back from a wonderful holiday at Casa Leon. Accommodation and food are both excellent. The activities were appropriate and well lead by professional trainers who took time to ensure everyone was able to take part and enjoy the sessions. All the staff at Casa Leon were helpful, caring and friendly. They all loved being their as much as their guests. Very professional as well and catered for special events the guests were celebrating during their visit. A big shout out for Oliver who is an excellent masseuse. He has the most amazing technique and his knowledge of the body and the origin of pain enables him to heal and resolve pain in an 'almost' painless way. I am very grateful. I hope to return to Casa Leon and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to relax and rejuvenate while on holiday.

The most stunning location! Beautiful pool and surrounding area. Panorama room was excellent, with lovely views and early morning sunshine. Enjoyed lazing on the balcony. The staff were absolutely brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the holistic treatments. Thoroughly recommend them. Games room facilities need mending! Breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine was SO delicious, with lovely Sara and Cathy serving us. Lunches were tasty too! However: If you are a foodie: I cannot agree with comments about delicious dinners. That was a great disappointment, apart from the two nights there was a BBQ. .. They were brilliant. Most meals were uninspiring and, frankly, at least one night, the main course was tasteless. Lack of choice was a bit disappointing too. Mentioned this at the desk before we left. She said they were going through a transition. Well, I hope they hurry up and sort the food out! Also: the jacuzzi is in bad need of an overhaul! But our stay was wonderful. So peaceful. If they sort out their dinners.... and the weather..! we would go back! Thanks to everyone at Casa Leon for looking after us!

A superb hotel with just 24 bedrooms in a stunning location high up above the dunes and Maspalomas. Lovely staff all very professional and attentive but instilling a calm friendly feel throughout our 7 night stay. Our bedroom was very comfortable and had an excellent balcony with a splendid view from the two sunloungers. Everywhere you went in the hotel, the open but sheltered( from the sun!)areas and the grounds had wonderful places to relax and sit or lie in tranquil settings. We have never been to a hotel with so many comfortable options as to where you can spend time! The infinity pool was a perfect temperature( end January/ early February)and a really good size( 40 strokes from one end to the other)!). An excellent clay tennis court, table tennis , table football, well equipped gym and small group sessions of yoga, aquarobics etc. The breakfasts are first class and a joy to sit outside in the early morning sunshine. Lovely healthy lunches are available and dinners varied and enjoyable. Twice a week dinner is a buffet and are amazing both in quality and endless variety of great food. The hotel is so pleasant a place to relax in that we didnt feel the need to go out into the island other than one day we went on the 10.30 am hotel minibus down to the town and the got return back at 1530. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility. There are very nice walks from the hotel with the mini version of the Grand Canyon right on our doorstep- you can take some superb photographs of the mountains and gorges when the sun is playing on the scenery. Very special. A wonderful week which we will repeat next year.
