Checking in the hotel was a breeze. Rudy was very helpful and provided all the information needed for my overnight stay at the hotel. The king suite room was clean and had all basic amenities. I was given free bottled water for being a member of Hilton. Breakfast was great! The best thing was that Trader Joe’s was literally just steps away! I would stay at this hotel again.

Se nella zona si considerasse di nuovo di rimanere qui. Malibu ha una bella spiaggia ma non molto da vedere nella città reale. Se viaggiate nel museo di casa Adamson, se viaggiate in giro nei giardini e nel museo, e parlate con la signora molto amichevole e conosciuta nel negozio regalo. In mille Oaks andare a visitare giardini del mondo - è molto piccolo ma bello camminare o avere un posto tranquillo. La città di Santa Barbara è a un'ora di distanza da qui, ed è bella e vale la pena visitare.

Siamo stati un po' nervosi di rimanere qui dopo aver letto alcune recensioni non così complimentari. Ero qui per uno dei miei migliori amici sposare un gruppo di altri amici e sono parenti e abbiamo avuto un giorno molto bello. Abbiamo avuto una sala balcone al terzo piano che era molto bello. Tutto si sentiva meglio, tranne per il tubo e la doccia. Ciò richiede un po' di attenzione, il personale era molto gentile e il buffet di colazione era buono e molto ragionevole. La piscina era bella e avevano un tè e un caffè complementari nel lobby quasi tutto il giorno. Il bar non era aperto durante il giorno di sabato.

Returning to Calamigos for another stay was a bit like coming home. As soon as I was driving there I knew the way and check in was a breeze just like before. I did have some issues when booking my room initially and ended up with an estate room, but when I checked in, I discovered I had been upgraded to a double bungalow. The ranch had undergone a few changes since my last visit and most of the staff was new. There were a few familiar faces which was good to see. The staff took excellent care of me, especially Kurt, the concierge, Connor, the resort manager, and Daniel, the assistant front desk manager. Also all the valets were great, greeting me warmly when I returned and offering me water before I left. The double bungalow I got was spacious with two bedrooms and a massive bathroom. I did have a couple of issues with my room, but the staff was quick to address them or explain the issue (my bed stand somehow broke, not by me, which they fixed the next day after I did a temporary fix and the phones in my bungalow were out due to wildlife). I was able to get in touch with the staff whenever I needed through text and they always responded within a few minutes. I did use the spa again (see separate review) and finally took advantage of the hiking trail they have on the grounds (did make a suggestion about signage). I also used the pool area and was pleased with the prompt and constant service the staff provided. However, I also had a private patio where I could get a little sun in the afternoon just stepping outside. It was another amazing stay and I know if/when I return to Malibu, Calamigos is where I’ll be staying.

Grande soggiorno!
Il personale è al primo piano in questo bellissimo hotel boutique. Ho avuto tutto quello che mi serviva per un perfetto lavoro sulla spiaggia. Le camere sono grandi con una bella vista sugli oceani. Il WiFi nelle camere erano forti con buone velocità di download. La struttura è situata accanto al pierre e la vista sorgente e sorgente del sole non deve essere mancata.. Colazione e cena al ristorante che guarda l'oceano è delizioso. Sedie a spiaggia, ombrello e servizio cibo/bevande disponibili. Il mio unico rammarico non è più rimasto.

My second stay here. First experience was good enough for me to return and this second experience also good. I will return again when in the area. Nice hotel. Excellent location by shopping & restaurants. Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great to have the kitchen. The supplied kitchen amenities (dish soap, dish towels, silverware, dishwasher powder, paper towels, bowls, plates, pots, toaster,coffee maker, etc. are all fine. Air Conditioner is noisy but no so loud to interrupt sleep. The problem is the main vent is over the bed and blows right on you while sleeping, so check for that when you get the room, or ask for a room where that isn't the case. Plenty of outlets for charging including USB plugs by the bed. Big desk area. Small eating table. Nice couch and chair for relaxing. Bed Pillows are awful and collapse into nothing. Took me 3 pillows piled on top of each other to equal a normal pillow. So be sure to ask for extra pillows. Also the dishwasher rack was missing the front wheels and while the dishwasher still worked, the metal where the wheels are missing was rusted leaving rust stains in the dishwasher. That really should be fixed.

Sono andato in questo hotel per anni, perché ho una famiglia vicino. Questa volta ho trovato il ”aggiornamento” freddo e inamichevole. Quando ho cercato di usare il caffè pot che non è più una macchina di marca Keurig, ho trovato poco nel modo di istruzioni e il caffè ha scorreto la mia tazza nella tazza sottostante. Non c'era nessuna direzione stampata per niente, solo uno dei codici QR che sono utili per i senior come me che non usano un dispositivo intelligente. Le mutandine erano dure, piuttosto che firme. Non c'era un orologio nella stanza, lasciate solo un orologio d'allarme. La porta del doccia era difficile da aprire dall'interno. Il sedile bagno è molto basso. Credo che questa proprietà e forse tutta la catena hanno abbandonato la sua leale clientela Boomer a favore della panderia ai clienti più giovani. Noi Boomers siamo la generazione con denaro per spendere i viaggi di svago, e non dovremmo essere ignorati come questo hotel ha.

Dopo aver chiamato quattro o cinque volte, trovato persone diverse, tutti hanno detto che immediatamente chiese la sanità, e alla fine non c'era nessuna sanità.Non c'era nessuna disturbo.La stanza non aveva acqua di scarico contenente la sostanza.
Non ho chiesto una bottiglia di acqua al receptionist. Poi ho scoperto che l'hotel ha versato 3.5 supplementare in deposito.Non parlare 😓

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars;
First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

UUtente ospiteIt was an enjoyable stay with Fairfield Inn, at El Segundo. The service from the front desk, to the cafeteria staff during the breakfast to the airport shuttle service were great! All of them were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room was smaller than we expected but acceptable. Otherwise, the whole experience was great.

UUtente ospiteIl personale era molto amichevole e accogliente, ci permetteva di controllare un po' prima di quanto fosse normale, che era grande, perché abbiamo appena finito un volo di 14 ore e molto gettato/cantato. Le camere sono state recentemente ristrutturate, molto pulite e pulite.
In generale non molto da lamentarsi. C'era un odore (pulizia/parfum/fiori?) che è menzionato in altre recensioni, tuttavia non abbiamo trovato questo disturbo in generale e ci siamo abituati. Avendo l'aria condizionata sembrava ridurre l'intensità.
Solo il punto di svantaggio è che è un po' lontano dalle aree turistiche (15-20mins da Uber) quindi se non ti importa, questo è un posto fantastico per stare.

Cynthia della reception è stata molto accomodante per la mia richiesta ed è stato un soggiorno fantastico. Il personale è cordiale, cortese ed efficiente. Il parcheggio coperto con cancello è stato utile durante la tempesta e apprezzo che abbiano 3 carrelli per bagagli ben funzionanti a disposizione degli ospiti. Il Gateway Towne Center è raggiungibile a piedi, a 1 isolato da Best Buy, Marshalls, ecc.

It's a mere 10-minute drive away, which made it incredibly convenient for someone like me who had to catch an early morning flight. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a nice touch.
The check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and welcoming. The lobby area is clean, modern, and well-designed, creating a favorable first impression.
I stayed in a standard room, and it was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows provided. The room had a decent view and was adequately spacious for a solo traveler. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with the necessary amenities.

We stayed in Motel 6, Hollywood from 2 June to 6 June 2023. This hotel is only about 100 mts away from Hollywood Blvd and the famous Walk of Fame. It’s about 5-10 minutes' walk from a variety of attractions including Dolby Theatre, TCL Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum and various other museums like Guinness Museum, Hollywood Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Capitol Records Building, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Death Museum etc. Universal Studios Hollywood is 3 miles away. Reception staff was not at all polite and they just did their duty of checking-in. They were not helpful in any manner and once we understood their behavior, we just avoided them. In fact the guy was very rude. The reception area looked like a mediocre lodge and the property is not well maintained. However, room was clean and was provided with TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee maker, iron box and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom had essential toiletries. There were loud noises coming from the corridor, even at mid-night. Though bed was comfortable, sleep was not comfortable for the noises coming from outside. Breakfast is not provided, however, free tea/coffee and a microwave facility is provided in the ground floor. A vending machine for snacks and drinks is kept nearby. There are plenty of eateries and bars not far off in Hollywood Blvd. Housekeeping is very poor. We made some request, which was never attended. We could see bottles and waste kept near the elevator and in the corridor. Often took the staircase, as we need to wait long time for the very old and slow moving elevator. There is a self- operated coin laundry, but, it was the most expensive laundry during all my stays in US. They charged $5 for one trip of washing and drying, whereas it was $3 in all other hotels. Metro station is only about 10 minutes walking distance. The street from Hollywood Blvd to the motel mostly look deserted and it is bit scary, especially in the evenings. You can find lot of drug ******* and homeless hanging around that area. Despite the price being high, I didn’t have high expectations of this place as Hollywood is expensive and you won’t get a good hotel for this price. However, that is not an excuse for rude behavior of staff and poor maintenance of the property. Overall, not happy with the stay and will never return.

UUtente ospiteMost important: we got an excellent nights sleep. Second floor in the back of the hotel (rm 222). It was quiet and we found the bed excellent. Service was helpful, polite. And the Wifi worked reasonably well - no problems with that.
Also important is we booked the room for $84 (total) and in LA/Manhattan Beach area that is cheap. Walk in price was $109+tax. So all my suggestions are just ”future ideas” and I have no grounds to complain about anything since we slept really well there. And yes, we will be back again no future trips.
Things that could be better:
o ice maker ”out of service” - they had one unit and it was connected, would make whirring noise when pushing in the dispenser, but no ice. We used the in-room 'fridge to freeze some water bottles to keep our picnic things cool the next day.
o inner courtyard looks like a small prison yard: the former pool and hottub are covered with what looks like roofing material and the fence around the pool area is locked off. No plants is the main problem. This could be a gem of a garden. My advice is to visit estate sales and garage sales to buy all the *large* potted plants they can find cheap (or free).
o renovate the rooms a bit: e.g. rip out the old carpets and put in any (yes, even linoleum) floor that can be mopped - much cleaner, no place for fleas, bedbugs, or dust mites to live in. Wash the walls and paint where repairs have been made - simple things can make the room much more pleasant to be in.
o put a window screen on the back window - which essentially faces a wall. But it was good (quiet) ventilation since it wasn't facing the street.
o small grey mark on the pillow case and a stray hair on the bed - harmless stuff to us but other people might find more objectiionable. And some stains in the carpet that probably will never come out. Not a big deal.
