Apri la finestra, la stanza è piccola. Il servizio di deposito bagagli gratuito è buono, ma chi incontri allo sportello dipende interamente dalla fortuna.

This is a first-world problem, I know, but it's still a frustrating and disturbing story. Roseate House has always been our go-to hotel when visiting London. It's charming, well-appointed, and very close to Paddington Station and Hyde Park. We've stayed there several times and we are always happy to be there. However, our most recent stay there will be our last. We have two young sons. They are not happy when we travel without them. To help us stay connected while away for work, they insist that we take two of their stuffed animals with us -- a blue whale named ”Whaley” and a Highland calf named ”William Wallace”. Our boys have had these animals since they were babies. They are prized possessions. When we arrive at a destination, we take photos of their animals and send the photos home. We have traveled with these stuffed animals for years. I think parents of young children will understand this. We did this, as usual, when we arrived at Roseate House. We went out for a few hours on a Saturday morning. When we returned, the room was cleaned -- but the stuffed animals were nowhere to be found. Now, these are not small stuffed animals. Whaley is the size of a large pumpkin (see photo taken in our room at Roseate House). They are not things easily overlooked. We called the front desk, thinking perhaps the cleaning staff had somehow gathered up the animals in the bedding. The front desk staff, obviously baffled by such a strange story, said the cleaning staff had gone home for the day. We would have to wait until they arrived the next morning at 8 a.m., which is when we were to leave for Heathrow. At 8 a.m., as we headed for the taxi outside, the staff said no one knew anything about the animals. They promised to follow-up. We sent several follow-up emails to see if the animals were found. They had not. We then heard from the manager, Simon, who said he had interviewed the entire cleaning crew from that day and had checked the hotel's security tapes (I'll give him props for going that far). No one admitted to taking the animals and nothing was seen on the tapes. He offered to replace the animals. We declined. We explained these things didn't cost much, about $20 USD each. They were sentimental items that mean a lot to our boys. Replacing things so familiar to them would be difficult. We explained how sad this situation was -- someone obviously took them from our room and later denied it. In my many, many years of travel, I have never had anything go missing from a hotel room. This was the first time. I told Simon that if two large stuffed animals belonging to young boys are not safe in the hotel's rooms, what about our passports and other valuables? If something much bigger than a basketball can disappear from a suite, what about something as small as a passport? My family of four arrived here for 3 nights, coming in to Heathrow from the US, taking the Express to Paddington station. 5 minute walk, we were tired from the long flight, they immediately helped us with our luggage and got us in early to our room. Hotels in London are painfully expensive; more so with a family; rooms tend to be small, worn, with tight hallways and stairs, lifts that are cramped and not working, and if AC is featured, it breaks down or does little. This hotel is a breath of fresh air. Not cheap, but clean, friendly, new and comfortable. We had a 2 room connecting family unit with AC(didn't need it, London was over it's heat wave), 3 comfy beds, 2 baths with plenty of hot water, Tea, coffee and water is on every floor. I used the small, by reservation, gym which had a Peloton bike. Elevators, we used 2, worked efficently. There's a cafe in the lobby featuring vegetarian food, very busy in the morning. Plenty of local restaurants near. We enjoyed Bizzarro Itallan. Good to call ahead for reservations this time of year anywhere in the city. Easy to ride the tube to various sites, theatre(which we did each night). It's a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. Small grocer and laundry(which we used) just down the street. After much research, I don't think there's a better place in the area. Staff very attentive. Part of the Park Grand hotels.

The best thing was hands down the location and starbucks being inside the hotel. It’s a very busy hotel though with many airline staff staying there. Queues can be long at reception and whilst some receptionists were very service oriented some weren’t very guest friendly. I had booked a premium double but was given a premium twin TWICE. Dragging my suitcases around after an exhausting travel there. I then had to downgrade to a standard double because I cannot sleep in a single bed. The bathrooms were both the same tiny size though the premium room definitely was more spacious. The standard room makes you feel claustrophobic.

Adore this hotel and always lovely to stay here and meet the friendly staff. Conveniently located near to either Maida Vale tube station (Bakerloo line) or St John's Wood (Jubilee) and a short walk to Abbey Road Studios, ”The Beatles” crossing, Lords Cricket Ground and Regent's Park. Not too far from Hyde Park/Marble Arch/Oxford Street either. Rooms refurbished since I was last here pre-pandemic and it makes such a different to them. Super clean, also comfortable beds and modern showers / bathroom. Bar and Italian restaurant next door integral to the hotel (Carluccios). Can get a glass of wine to take to your room after it's closed if you ask at reception (thank you). Not a great deal immediately around the hotel but if I'm away for work this isn't an issue as Carluccios is good enough. Even if on vacation, it's a short 15 minute taxi ride to Oxford Street. Wonderful breakfast choice in the morning also in Carluccios but run by the hotel staff. Everything you could imagine you would want for breakfast and a big enough space not to have to queue for a table. Seems a safe affluent area (certainly between the hotel and Regent's Park). And a nice old tin church on the walk from Maida Vale to the hotel! USB charging points in the (at least refurbished) rooms. Oh and in the summer on hot days they give you free ice creams!

Bellissimo hotel in una splendida posizione, personale così accogliente prima ancora di entrare, sono fuori sorridenti e ti danno il benvenuto, facendo il possibile per aiutarti. La reception e il concierge sono fantastici, i casi consegnati nella nostra stanza quasi istantaneamente. Il bar ristorante e il tè pomeridiano erano 100/100 torneremo sicuramente, ci siamo sentiti come a casa?

La stanza dispone di aria condizionata che si può controllare, a differenza dell'altro Hilton sul ponte della torre che avevano fissato le temperature. Ovviamente per risparmiare denaro. L'unico che mi è stato lasciato in giù è stato cercare di ottenere un po' di latte per il tè circa le 11:00 nessuno ha risposto al telefono oltre al servizio in camera che mi ha detto di contattare il custode... Ho finito di comprare una bottiglia di latte da un negozio all'ospedale... nemmeno la ricezione non ha risposto

Questo hotel è così bello! Ci sono anche un caffè in fondo e un salone/caffè in alto. Il colazione era incredibile. Abbiamo scelto la camera più piccola, quindi ci aspettava che fosse piccola- che era certamente! Molto sgoccioso. Ma era intelligentemente progettato con un po 'di spazio ferroviario, asciugacapelli, sicurezza sotto il letto, ecc. Non c'era molto spazio per pavimenti, ma potevamo scegliere una stanza più grande se volessimo. La stanza è molto ben decorata. La posizione è sorprendente, come potete vedere la stazione di Paddington dall'entrata. Ci sono molti bar e ristoranti sulla strada. Il personale era molto amichevole. Rimarrei qui.

Colazione gratuita fino alle 9:30, colazione inglese tradizionale, non ricca ma accettabile. Non c'è riscaldamento nella stanza, ma all'inizio di novembre ti sveglierai ancora nel cuore della notte quando dormi sotto la trapunta Va detto che le pareti dell'hotel sono abbastanza spesse e non troppo fredde 😅

L'hotel (loggio) soddisfa le nostre esigenze. Alcuni problemi di manutenzione minori dovevano essere affrontati. Nessuna piastra in bagno, nessun top su un distributore di sapone. Solo un limone di tè e un latte singolo fornito. Nessun bagno o asciugamani, anche se la ricezione li ha forniti quando richiesto. La colazione OK una volta che un gruppo scolastico è partito. Forse un blocco separato di 30 minuti per i gruppi? La cibo era di base ma sufficiente. In generale, il soggiorno rappresentava un valore ragionevole per i soldi.
