Haven Hotel

Dirty, unfriendly staff, noisy and smelly. ********** found in shower and bathrooms. Paint flaking off the walls and wall paper flaking. I’ve stayed in £20 hostel which were cleaner. Staff were not welcoming and weren’t friendly. Cleaners left stuff all over corridors while no where In sight

No air conditioning, room hot and tiny. Windows had to be open and the noise from the street was never ending all night long. Didn't sleep hardly at all! Got the hell out EARLY next morning. This place is terrible. Will NEVER return!!

Booked this hotel as it was a decent price compared the travelodge and premier inn prices and the location was good as well. The room condition was poor. The laminate flooring was peeling away and the windows and cabinets were dirty. We opened a draw to find someone’s vape and filters. The washroom was very small. The electric extension leads had things stuffed into them. The fridge did not work and was filthy. All of these things weren’t too bad as we knew what we were going to get for the price but the worst thing was the road outside of the hotel. We were at the front of the hotel facing the busy junction which did not calm down all night. It was also a main route for any emergency services with full sirens on regardless of any time. This partnered with boy racers with their loud exhausts and beeping their horns the whole way down the road meant we all slept about 1 to 2 hours max.

Reception is clean and provides a false sense of security. Our room was in the basement the stairs were dangerous and the room was dingy dark and damp. Luckily there was a fan or it would have been unbearable. Bathroom was also not great tiny shower.... will not be going back

This hotel was booked as a last-minute replacement due to a change of dates and, I have to say I was impressed regardless of the cheaper price we paid. I would describe it as a cheap and cheerful budget option. We booked an overnight stay as a family of 3. The welcome to the hotel was good and check-in was quick and easy complete with Wi-Fi information (a key thing when travelling with a teenager!). First impressions were that the hotel was very clean but with some areas needing some attention. In our room, it was particularly the bathroom. Minor things like the mirror which had age spots on it, cracks in wall tiles, the shower base which had some damage on it, rusting on the shower curtain rail and extra metal fittings on the walls which didn't serve any purpose (see photos). Just addressing these little things would make the stay so much nicer visually for the guest. As a former hotel receptionist myself, I know it can often be the little things that make all the difference. That said, these things did not impede our stay as the shower was not needed, we just needed a place to stay for the night and this hotel certainly fit the bill. The beds were comfortable and the room was at the back of the hotel which ensured a quiet night (bar the noisy downpour of rain we had!). We did have to keep the window open though as the room was very warm and there is no air conditioning. The room came with a TV, a small wardrobe with a few hangers, a small fridge (which came in very handy for keeping drinks cool) and a tea / coffee tray, which could only have been improved by the addition of decaf versions of the drinks on offer. The location of the hotel is good as it is close to Edgware Road with places like McDonalds, Argos, Tesco, Greggs, Tesco and Superdrug all within 10 minutes of walking distance. There are also no end of other independent shops should you need something. It is also close to tube stations and Paddington. Overall, we were more than happy to spend a night at this hotel and would use it again if we needed a place for the night. I do think I would suggest somewhere else for 3 nights + though, as the room is rather small for a family of 3 compared to others we have stayed in.

The impression depends a bit on the expectations. Having been in London staying at different hotels, this one made a positive difference. The windows were very old and not really closing correctly, but besides everything was okay. Could be a bit problematic in winter, but for spring it didn't disturb much. We had coffee and tea facilities in the room. The check-in/out process was very quick and smooth. The staff was helpful. The only thing is - the hotel doesn't serve breakfast.

Rooms very very small towels very small nice staff but this is a hotel i wont stay at again just because its more like a hostel quality than a hotel also a little bit out of the way if you are older and dont want to walk
