The Laslett

A lovely boutique hotel within seconds from the tube. Location wise is perfect for us since we wanted some quaint Notting hill stores and portobello markets walks. Many cafes restaurants and pubs around. Staff was super friendly and the rooms are perfectly sized for London… not too small. Would come back again.

Ahhh Laslett … so I have stayed here a few times and love it but the reason for my “average” rating is I feel at check in they should “recognise” past loyal guests (maybe they do but the past few times they haven’t). A hotel this size that’s a boutique hotel and is going for a homely feel you would hope and wish as a frequent traveler that they flag that you have stayed a few times and know your preferences. Sadly they immediately put me in a basement room and from a previous stay and changing rooms a few times it was incredibly frustrating to be back at that point. So - like other reviews have mentioned - be aware of the basement rooms. To be fair to travellers I think the hotel should make it an option to book these rooms or not book them (maybe through a pricing structure? as I can see it’s frustrated others as well). To the hotels credit they changed my room on the second night - but when you’re staying just two nights and have been on the go for a few weeks it was a little inconvenient. (I have added photos of both different rooms) Now for the hotel - the location is incredible just by Notting Hill Gate. Rooms are lovely and the hotel has an overall great feel and its one of my favourite spots to stay in London if the price is right. I have been noticing the last two years the price has started to be a little too expensive for the offering around £450 as there is no gym or 5 star service or amenities that would justify the higher price - or if they want to be at this level of price they need to up the 5 star service and feel. For around £200-£300 it’s worth it.

I wanted to stay in Notting hill in a small luxury hotel and The Laslett ticked all these boxes. I wasn’t happy with my initial room (the rooms on the ground floor facing the street mean you have to close screen all the time) but was given a room by a very nice lady at reception on top floor at back of Horen overlooking roof tops. This was a great room - very comfy bed. Nice decor and excellent bathroom and shower. Had breakfast one morning and it was very good. I also loved the cappuccino being delivered to my room every morning! Great location next to tube stop and heaps of great pubs and restaurants.

Such a great location. Quiet and away from the craziness of the city, but also just steps from the Tube and access to everything. Beautiful walks in the neighboring areas. Staff was helpful with recommendations for dining out, although the food was very good at the hotel, as well.

I love this boutique hotel perfectly situated close to Notting Hill, Kensington Palace and Hyde Park! I have stayed at the Laslett several times as a single woman in London. It’s beautiful and homey with high quality touches. The staff is amazing - friendly, helpful and professional. The food is fantastic and there are cozy sitting areas inside and outside the hotel. I highly recommend the Laslett!

The hotel is very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Convenient location to the underground and bus stops, coffee shops, laundry and the Portobello Market. Took the underground right from the airport to Nottinghill Gate.

Great and friendly service - many thanks to Shree for his welcoming and warm service. Had a wonderful lunch and enjoyed a great time. Will be back and look forward to dining again. Can recommend the salads and also had a really good coffee here

Great food, location and service. The terrace is an amazing spot for lunch. We were served by Shree who was very hospitable and welcoming and made the meal and overall experience excellent. We’ll be back again soon, looking forward to it!!!

We went to the Henderson kitchen, Shree looked after us really Well. I’ll definitely go back. Salad was healthy and delicious.. Service was first class, kudos to the chef Alex. Great team work and fabulous place to chill around with friends and family
